10 bulbs for 2.00 dollars that's a bargain. Congrats on your purchase.

I need to transplant irises but haven't talked myself into it yet. Maybe a little later.

Dodge my horse is too big to climb up on or sit across, he weighs over a tonne (they estimate 2400 pounds)..he's the biggest horse I have ever seen and growing bigger each week. His harness doesn't even fit him anymore....

Sorry about the miscarriage, I had one as well. Glad the horse helped. kissie

we've had 1/10th of an inch of rain so I'm not sure that the lettuce and radishes I put out will make it. It is cooler though so we'll see.

I've cleaned up a little bit, Johnny has cleaned up a little bit and he hired someone who cleaned up a little bit. You'd think all those little bits would make a whole clean up but it hasn't. Now the leaves are falling so we'll be raking and blowing.

The strong winds did the same to my place. The leaves are starting to fall. I love the look but the clean up is going to be a bit of work.

I dug up another clump of irises to send on to a friend. I still have bunches and bunches to go. Hope I can find homes for them all.

I went out to see that the zinnia and celosia are both laying down. They aren't dead but they are all over the path. I suppose it is time to pull them up and add them to the compost pile. I have a hard time pulling anything that is fighting so hard to stay alive.

Well I didn't actually do this in the garden but it is for the garden. I picked up a gallon container of Purple Asters for my fall season interest and a green day lily for the ditch flower bed to go with the orange and yellow colors that are already there.

My gardens are a mess..hoping it snows real soon so I won't have to look at any of it. I'll deal with it in the spring, hopefully I'll feel better then.

Believe it or not we have not had a frost yet!! Anyway, I yanked out all the zinnia plants but left the salvia, marigolds, and snapdragons. They still are blooming and look nice.

I've got to do some cleaning up too. Maybe in the afternoons and this weekend. I wish I could come up with a way of keeping the leaves in control. Once they start falling it's a constant battle.

Well I got out there and I planted the aster in the driveway bed. I planted the green daylily in the ditch bed. I dug up the top of the tree bed and sifted the rocks out and then transplanted my largest remaining iris clump up there. I still have room for more but I got hot and sweaty and had to stop. I'm going to move the top clump of lily of the valley to a shadier location and then move around the columbine also to a shadier place near where they are. Then I can use the space I free up for some more of the irises. I'll still have leftovers but I should be able to talk someone into them.

Today I dug up my potatoes, cleaned off my veggie garden, mulched with mulched up leaves & then added straw to my asperagus bed. Thne I watered everything down.

Now before you panic, My DH did all the heavy stuff.
But I was told I could garden or do whatever just stop & rest if I got tired or feld winded.

I am glad you were able to get outside and get things done, Carol. And glad that Rod was able to help with some of the heavy stuff.
I have done little outside today. Much of the day has been blow-you-over winds. So water as much as possible and wait for the winds to die. But today's high on my protected back porch was 78* so much warmer out in the sun.

Yes we are supposed to have record breaking highs this week. Now if my wind will stop I could get a lot of things done.

I'm planning on leaving a layer of leaves on the beds this winter. That is if monther nature lets me. She has been pushing them all up against the shed and house just to keep me busy. Today it is mother natures day to work in the garden. She is watering everything that I have transplanted lol.

Tina, can you send me some heat and Carol, would you mind loaning me Rod for a day? DH hasn't had a spare minute to help me outside.

Today I plan to try do something out there. I think I'll make a list, it's the only way it'll get done. DH hates lists on the fridge thumbup

yea!! lists--good idea !!!! if it get him moviong tamara then great.
Sure you can borrow Rod--but then you have to keep him a week or so--- haha bow

I need to make a list too--Otherwise I go around thinking I am all caught up when in fact I am not--far from it.

Today is some errands & book work for me though.

WE had to really water my leaves down TK. and last night it was raining again so hopefully they asre well in place now. DH put all the hoses away for the winter & I cannot get them out.

with him working overtime--I am sure the him helping me outdoors is done for teh year.

It's rained here this week but I'm hoping we'll be able to do some work in the yard this weekend. I dreamed my lettuce was coming up. Do you think I've got gardening on the brain?
