I'm not the best or fastest at typing..and I do look at the keyboard..yet I still have to re-edit my spelling mistakes. I don't worry about it, we know what we are saying to each other anyway thumbup

Got your message, sent it back once more grin

The beets are mostly good, only a few were too big and fibrous so I just threw them out. The second pot is cooking now...I just have to boil a brine and process later. DH will be more than happy, he doesn't like store bought beets because he doesn't like the taste of cloves. I make them with just pickling spices instead.

It's just too bad that I never got any cukes for relish or pickles this year..more of a shame that I had a garden full that over ripened when I wasn't here and went for cattle food.

That is a shame and I'm sorry, Tamara. I' not too sure you would have traded that time with Maddison (sp?) for any relish or pickles though. She is your "Pickles" this year.

Hi again!

I'm glad you were able to get so many beets, Tam. We love beets around here! Too bad about the pickles, though. I feel for you because I didn't get any cucumbers in the harvest this year, either. We were shocked by that!

Tonight I made my Stuffed Miniature Pumpkin recipe. We are eating late tonight but I had much cooking to do & Maxi is swamped with homework, so we'll be eating about 6:45. But it was yummy and worth it!

We are also having Mahogany clams on the side & I am making mussel soup. We are eating well tonight!

I don't think anyone should be concerned about their typing ability. I think everybody does the best they can for after all, through all my years of being on the forum, there have truly been very few actually unreadable posts and those posters are no longer here. Like Tam said, we "read through" the typos.

I saw my back specialist this morning and he was a big help. My shoulder & hip feel much better and my sciatica (sp?) is much better as well. I can move easily not thinking about the pain.

lol Yup Tina, she's my 'pickles' for sure.

I made 8 large bottles of beets..so all is good. What a mess though, kind of forgot how they stain everything.I need to grab another shower in a minute, my hands and lower arms(yup I'm messy)are stained purple.

Never had mussel soup before, we usually just ate them fresh steamed from the beach(they now have closed it down due to contamination). Mmm, clams..yum.

wow--8 bottles of beets---yum--I love pickled beets
but I love cloves too..

I really did not mean to start a conversation about typing ability. I just felt self-concious about my typos. I promise not to notice my mistakes again (well I will try not to comment on them)

Junigirl,
No one is perfect............
Who said we had to take a typing test on line to have fun? Just remember Junigirl, Were here for fun , not perfection.
Anyone who says otherwise, needs a physical.

Good morning, everyone!

Today is Friday! The week's end! YAY!

Maxi just left for school. After school he is going directly to a youth retreat he is helping to lead. One of his tasks was to write a talk & he was assigned the topic of why he thinks God is awesome. He wrote about the reality of God's presence personally in our lives, through good times & bad & how nothing can separate us from God's love. It is a fine talk and it will go well if he remembers to slow down when he is reading it! lol

It is pouring out there! The wind is gusting really strong (we have advisories) and it blew so strong during the night, it blew our front door open! br-r-r-r! The good news is, if it had been snow instead of rain, we would have gotten 30 inches during the night! yikes So you know I'm glad it is rain!!!

The weather people are calling it a Nor'Easter, with rain instead of snow.

Gotta go finish putting grocery staples away....

Good Morning everyone..

Merme..yup a Nor'Easter is upon us. If it hits us through the night we'll see the white stuff. It drops below 32*F in the evenings now. Hoping we get rain...my yard still isn't 'winterized'.

Nice to see you here chatting with us Dodge thumbup

I have plenty to do today..as well as pick up the baby later, apparently someone has her spoiled and she's not sleeping unless she's held. Have no clue who started that? notme

Tam I think babies go through that phase and it really makes sense if you think about it. If I were barely born & only weighed a few pounds & couldn't do anything for myself, I would feel better if I were held while sleeping also! lol

Yes the Nor'Easter is heading your way. Mt Washington, where the weather station is, has a few inches already because of their elevation... I wouldn't be surprised if you got snow too!

Lots of power outages today. Severe flooding... many basements & living rooms flooded, trees down.....

Remember the coastal regions of New England in your prayers...

Good morning everyone. I have been up for an hour now---I guess I should have gotten up earlier---When it comes to work, I am a morning person.

What are you saying, Tamara ?? Surely no one is implying that YOU could/would have spoiled Madisson, would they... nooo lol

yep I have a lot to do today also. I think first though I will peel apples--I was hoping they could wait until saturday but I think keeping them upstairs where it is a bit warmer was a mistake. So, today it is.

I am back to rights as far as ironing pain goes. That is good. Although I do have 2 books to read, and one excuse would have been as good as another. haha

Sorry about the Nor'Easter ladies. I hope it does not bring anyone of you snow.
...When will that stuff ever learn to stay in the yards ???

yes Dodge, it is good to see you here--come more often.
Glad that Haley was over to see you--I am sure that was a fantastic time.

Merme sounds as if Maxi is learning more than academics at Chevrus. That is wonderful.

I am off to begin with my apples----- wavy
Catch ya all later

A busy day again for everyone.

I've got a spaghetti sauce simmering away on the stove...apparently we might lose power later with the storm. So supper will be cooked early thumbup
