Hi all, hope the wind settles today Tina.

I've got a cord of wood that needs to be moved somewhere today...I made the mistake of piling it where farm equipment needs to go. rolz I hate doing jobs twice.

I slept in late, too. I was up til 4 this morning with a killer headache from a procedure I had done earlier in the day by my opthamologist. Finally went to sleep and woke up without the headache at 7am, thanks to 4 Advil. Got Lola up and went back to bed after she ate breakfast, slept til 11am.

...now I have another headache. boohoo
I was bragging the other day to Rachel that I never get headaches anymore. rolz
....need to learn to keep my mouth shut.

Morning everyone. I'm just waiting for my teapot to heat up so I can have some pumpkin spice tea. Then, it's off to physical therapy for me. This last week was very hard on me, work wise, but turned out pretty good. Lots of people that care about me at work, more than I realized. It's a good feeling to know that people care and want to help. Yesterday I took the girls to the state swimming meet. Then we had lunch with my mom and did a little shopping. I was exhausted when I got home. I'm going to make it a point to have a lazy day today. I really need it. Cindy, hope your headache goes away. They are no fun. Hi Tamara! Sorry about the cord of wood, I hate doing things twice also. Morning Merme! Tina, hope your winds die down a bit. I'm doing laundry today also.

Aww, thanks. Work had me to exhausted, both mentally and physically, to do much of anything when I got home in the evenings. I think I only turned on my computer once or twice all week. I come home, cook dinner, and then we watch Law & Order and I usually pass out after a couple episodes and Aros has to wake me up to have me get to bed. This week will be better.

I am glad to see you, Cheryl. I hope work issues back off soon so you don't have that stress added to your life.
Tamara. I hate doing things more than once too. I would love a magic wand that did nothing but move wood from one place to another easily. I could be out raking and wave my wand once in a while to get it where it needed to go. Two jobs at once. Meanwhile having wood in and a warm house is very nice.
Moving the wood also helps keep me in shape. It warms me more than once also. There is collecting it, then cutting, then splitting, then hauling/stacking and last transporting it indoors to burn. All very warming jobs. And kind of satisfying in the end.
The winds are still blowing well out there but it is supposed to ease off this afternoon. I will be out of umph this afternoon to do much more than cooking dinner and doing the dishes.

Merme checking in. Sorta.

I thought a good night's sleep last night & taking it easy today would soon fix me up. Not so much.

But Maxi is managing the laundry on his own, running in & out w/ his friends as we have a lovely day here on the coast -- very rare & warm for November! And dinner is simmering on the stove... a pot of sausage, tomatoes, green beans, onions & carrots I will serve over cavatappi.

For our brunch this morning, I made homemade hash browns and man oh man, they were delicious!!

Tomorrow will be busy for us, so I plan on pacing things because soon enough we'll be in the midst of another hang-onto-your-hat week.

We were given two hands to hold, two eyes to see, two ears to listen & two legs to walk. But why were we given only one heart?
The other heart was given to another for us to find.

Sorry you're not feeling so hot, Merme.

I had a pretty good PT session today. If all goes well I'm only a week away from trying out a run/walk session on the treadmill. I'm so excited! I am a little sore from PT, they decided to start working on strengthening my hip and I feel it. Not a bad sore, but still annoying. I'm working on my laundry and thinking about making pumpkin bread. I bought all the ingredients last weekend but never got around to making it. My mom made it for a celiac co-worker and it was a hit all over the office. Most didn't even know it was gluten free.

That sounds good, Cheryl. Do your family eat any of your gluten free things? Or are you forever cooking separate meals?

Sometimes they do, if it comes out tasting like regular baked stuff. I almost always cook separate dinners because gluten isn't my only issue and they don't much like my bland diet. It works out for me though because then I can experiment and try new things, along with eating some of my favorites that no one else likes.

Yes, I love being able to eat what I like to eat without bothering to take anyone else into consideration these days.

hello.

Tina you sure are one hard working lady--to listen to the amount & types of work that you and Tamara do makes me site in awe of the 2 of you. Ah--to eat without considering other people---such a dream-----

Merme I hope that you soon begin to feel better soon.
I am wondering if a Dr. should be consulted??

Cheryl--I sure hope that your days at work begin to go better.
and I hope that you are soon as good as new & back to running your marathons.
about teh celiac diet--My mom oftern makes dishes for herself & just does not tell anyone that it is made any different than any other dish. Most times no one can tell.

Thank you, Carol. I am already under the care of a primary, six specialists & one visiting RN. We are all doing the best we can but I just do not seem to bounce back from setbacks as readily as I once did....

Carol, I do not get so much done, really. I think it takes longer to type some of it out than to do it. I'd rather look at my accomplishments and smile than to look at what has yet to be done and get depressed.
I am tired early tonight so I am going to seek my pillows. Good night all.

Thanks Tina.

The food was good---the company was civil to one another---but Emily got up & went home practically immediately after teh dinner---So then, I got lucky and Val & Brian stayed here a bit, thankfully--

Both girls were sick--so hopefully they will feel better soon.
