My back specialist gave me 6 injections deep into the sciatic nerves today. I can't tolerate sitting one more minute. I gotta go!

Well today will be a long one!!! I went to bed a bit after 11 last night and "goody goody" (not) I am up at a bit before 5am. I tried to go back to sleep for an hour but that was not to be.

At least I was not alone.
Golly it is cold this morning.--I really must go weigh myself so I can get a cup of coffee.

Today will be busy. I have dialysis & the last things to prepare for my booth tomorrow. Maxi leaves at 2 from home to get to Portland & be picked up by 4 to go to the Youth retreat being held in Augusta.

I'm doing his laundry so he can pack.

Tamara, yea I know---I figure we must just try to do our best.

I am amking out a medication list for my wallet---the nurse wanted my medication list when I was being admitted to the hops last month & gee I did not have one--well I was only on 2 medications---I didnt think I needed a list--
but now since there are more, a list I am making.

then soon I should go to therapy.

nope the list is for my wallet so if I am in an accident or if a dr wants to know what I am on at a checkup there are no mistakes.

Yes a med list is a good idea, Carol. I take many meds and I've startled the ER staff a time or two by being able to recite the entire list, w/ proper spelling, dosing & frequency. Even so I keep a list on the fridge for the rescue team & one in my purse as well.

The reason I am able to recite that long list in such detail is because when I go to physical rehab as an in-patient, the nurses at first hand me a pill & tell me what it is & what it does. Soon they hand me a pill and ask me what it is & what it does. Before I leave they make a chart & laminate it.

Yup I have much going on this morning.

Morning everyone. The kids are getting ready for school, we'll be leaving in about 10 minutes. Then I have PT and allergy shots. After that I'll come home, eat some lunch, and then start on the laundry. I have to take Amanda to the eye doctor this afternoon, she says she's having trouble seeing the board at school. Tomorrow I'm declaring my day of rest and tomorrow night we're going to see Harry Potter on the IMAX!!! Have a great day everyone!

The girls banquet went great! They had a lot of fun and even lettered in their first varsity sport. Their coach announced he was retiring as a coach and all the girls cried, they are also going to miss some of the seniors. Me and the boys had mexican for dinner.

PT has become a workout. That's not necessarily a bad thing, it's been a while since I've been sore though. It burned off my breakfast and my stomach is growling. I'm waiting to get my allergy shots and once I get them I have to wait a half hour until I can leave. Can't wait to get home and eat.

I am glad the girls had such success, Cheryl. And a workout can be a good thing.
I had a busy day. The weather has been cool, foggy, drizzly all day. Rain is supposed to move in tonight. But my messes outside are all raked into piles. And things got done indoors too. I have wood in for a couple days. Ted is out of school for the next week so I don't have to worry about getting him to and from and clock watching. So I can relax and work too.

I'm glad the house is quiet at the end of this terribly long, emotional week.

My Avon booth got cancelled for tomorrow. The church purchased my Holiday gift basket for a nice price & will raffle it off over the next two weeks. So I get to donate to the good cause of the women's club w/out exhausting myself doing a booth. The women's club supports the local food pantry, the women's shelter, they send kids to summer camp & assist families with sudden need (a death in the family, an illness, etc).

I miss Maxi, though.

Cold tonight; in the 20's.

We had a low cloud cover all week which kept us warmer though the skies looked so dismal. Then the clouds blew away & the skies are brilliant again but man dear, the temps dropped!

Sorry for the cold, merme---& the quiet...
but glad that maxi is going to have such a good time.

I thought PT meant 'parent-teacher' meetings...now I know it's 'physical therapy' All the past while I'm thinking, poor Cheryl~must be having a hard time with her girls at school.

By the way, I used to define PT as "pervasive torture" when I was going through it to learn to walk again. I told my therapist I thought he stayed up at night dreaming of terrible things to make me do! He cracked up laughing.

We made it up to 30 this morning, YAY!

Maxi & his buddies have made our porch a disaster zone. Monday afternoon they are gonna clean it up! Fortunately, they usually cooperate when I say its time for them to get to it. I just hate driving up & seeing a mess out front.

Thanks, can you send some heat, got to put up Christmas lights today..brrr..

It's snowing so much that the roads are a mess...and where are all the plow operators?? Gone hunting for the last day of deer season. (It wasn't supposed to snow today). My phone is ringing like crazy..I can't make my DH appear out of thin air, people who have no real need to go somewhere need to learn to stay home if the weather is bad.

Sorry it's snowing Tamara. They tell us we might see a little snow tonight or tomorrow night. Not enough to stick but still cold and wet. Too funny about PT. The girls are actually straight A students. We are lucky that way, we never have to ask if their homework is done or tell them to do it. We have other struggles with them but none school related. Merme, do you have snow? Hope Maxi is having fun, I know you miss him but he'll be back before you know it. I'm about to go make some oat bran and start getting ready for today's PT workout. Hopefully there will be a little jogging happening today. After that it's officially my day of rest. I'm not even finishing up the rest of my laundry until after work tomorrow. Aros and the kids know not to ask any favors of me today and just let me do whatever I feel like. At least not until it's time to get ready to go to the movie and I think I'll even have Aros do the driving tonight. We are very excited to see this movie. See you when I get back!

People should understand how important hunting season is, Tam. And as you say, should plan to stay home if going out isn't necessary when the weather is rotten.

Time to make more coffee. I still feel like I need to swim in it!

Funny thing Merme, they had no plans to go today but one of the guys at work said they should all gather and go for the last day They left at 3:30 am...snow is lightening up a bit. Sure looks pretty out there.

Well, I'm glad they went. Special days like that are rare & should be enjoyed.

I've been wasting time trying to make a bow w/ the wrong kind of ribbon. It is finished but I pretty much hate it! I always get annoyed when I am stuck w/ the wrong thing & have to make do.

Ugh, not having the right supplies is annoying. I understand fully..and it's so hard to get to the stores to get what one really needs.

I bought some nice Christmas ribbon at the dollar store the other day, it even has the wire in it..I was very impressed.

Hmm, just got a call. There's a wedding taking place today and there is something majorly wrong with the flowergirls dress. They are taking her here for me to sew her up into the dress at 5pm.

That just confuses me

Little girls grow so fast. If you choose that dress very early they can outgrow it within a few weeks.

Good gosh, I hope it's something simple..I won't have time to let out a dress in a half hour, especially if I'm dealing with sequins and lace.

I must go shovel my step..back later.

Tam I hope the emergency dress repair works out well for you & all concerned.

I make florists bows and if the ribbon is too stiff, you can't get it to lay right. Annoying! And yes, not being able to get around to get errands done is a major hassle when one has projects underway.

I am going to make an apple pie for Maxi's homecoming tomorrow night. I bought brown sugar the other day just so I could.

Hi Dodge, yes it snowed so bad in the lower end of the province that DH had to come home early from his hunting trip...the guy he went with didn't have snow tires on.
