...pretending I am 16 years old again.

I Have one in my basement...and a big box of tapes too.... my hubby is a hoarder....LOL!

My daughter says I'm a hoarder...well, when I die she can just throw it all away...but right now I am listening to Grand Funk Railroad "We're an American Band" on an 8-track tape. It don't get much better than this!

Good morning. I think I am up for real this time. I have no major plans for this day. Just getting ready for the week ahead. Our schools are not off for MLK jr day tomorrow. So it is a full week. So laundry and getting ready in general.
And I will have football games on.

Good afternoon all, nothing going on here today..or any day for that matter

Getting colder out..minus -6*F out there today.

Rod got me a new woofer for one of our speakers so our sterio system would work--well it was all fixed then in about 5 minutes & it blew the NEW speaker----so he says no more $$$ is to be spent on this system--
but now the something "new" needs to be something that will allow me to plug in my turntable and my 6-pack CD changer. We looked today at what Wal-mart had available---I guess one day we will have a new system---but I really do not want to have to change CD's every time one is done---that 6 pack was awesome !!!!!

I knew what you meant, Carol. I just ignore typos, I understand what you meant to say so that's how I read it. Now I have that song stuck in my head, lol. I'm getting ready to leave work soon and go for a short run. Then I either have to pick up dinner or take everyone out to dinner and after that I get to go grocery shopping.

When I was 15 my next door neighbor kid got a bass guitar for his birthday...

I had to Youtube that song because I didn't recognize it. I do remember the guitar intro but that was about the time I stopped listening to whatever was new and only listened to oldies, mostly. I did not like hard rock and still don't. I am old.

So much of the screaming electric guitars and screaming (as opposed to singing) voices gives me an almost instant headache.
And I remind me of my dad. He used to tell us to turn our noise down. That it wasn't music at all. It is sad when we turn into out parents.

Yeah...I have always been a "turn it up as loud as it will go" hard rocker.
I still turn the music up so loud in my truck I have to put my phone on vibrate and stick it under my seatbelt so I can feel it vibrate if it rings...I would never be able to hear it. If you saw me (heard me) coming down the road you'd think I was a teenager...but then the rude awakening is I'm a 53 year old granny who likes loud music.

I recognize some of the Moody Blues songs listed. But that youtube thingy froze my computer.
No I listened to things mostly from the 50's and 60's. I skipped most of the 70's and liked some of the 80's disco stuff. I came to admire some of the things my kids listened to but not all of it. Most of the 90's passed me unfazed. And most of the last 10 years too.

No, I was busy being a young mother and raising kids mostly by myself. Same with the 80's but added foster kids to the mix. I had no TV for much of that time, by choice. And I truly do not like most hard screaming rock. But I did fal in love with Price's 1999 album. It got me moving through a lot of housework.

Good morning everyone, freezing out there today..I opened the door to head out to do barn work and the cold honestly cut the air from me..It's minus -22*F this am.

Brrrr...Tamara. Keep warm as possible. It is a balmy 68* outside right now and the sun is not yet up.

I'm trying too Tina, the wind was so strong last night that we couldn't load up the woodstove so it makes the house so hard to heat back up this morning...brrr. It's only the start though, February is around the corner .
