Good afternoon. I finally got warm, I've been cold all day. I have a few calls out and am currently waiting for calls back. If I even get any calls back today. I'm not nearly as sleepy as I was yesterday, which is a good thing.

Hi Cheryl--good to hear that you are not so tired as you have been. I have a Jacket that used to be my dad's that I wear around the house when I am cold.--I have it on a LOT!!!

At Urgent Care place for half the day.
They advertise 2 doctors there...
...no...actually one nurse practitioner there.
They probably charged the government hundreds of dollars for my visit.
I got a few pills that are supposed to make me sleep.
...she told me I needed to see a doctor.
Well....."BIG RED TRUCK! Why do you think I came here?????"

I am so worn out I can barely move, and I am actually slurring my words at this point.
Hard to believe anyone could stay awake over a week with not even a nap.

oh Cindy I so hope that you do get some sleep tonight---and yes it IS hard to believe that you have been up for a week---

Aros is about to have a meeting with the girls. Their attitudes have been a bit much lately and he's tired of it. One girl in particular is being especially stubborn to admit that she's done anything wrong. She takes everything just as personally as I do, if not more so, but won't admit that she's taking it personally. Everything is an attack against her. I know how that feels but I'm able to recognize when it's me and get over it. She's been not speaking to her father for days now. Teens, sometimes you just don't know what to do with them. What you'd like to do to them sometimes would probably be considered child abuse, lol. Hopefully they'll get it resolved.

Yes my last teen daughter gave me hissy-fits. She grew up quickly though when her dad became ill. But that is not the best solution either.

good morning--I have been up since 5am my time (central)
I should do this every day--I could get a lot more done--

but then I do like to sleep if I can---I heard Rodney this morning though and could not go back to sleep when he left for some reason--so I did some stuff & then came in to say "hi"

About the girls- -yep teens are hard. They think they know it all and are hormonal along with it. I am so glad that you can see what is going on with her, I am sure that will help you all, esp when it comes to explaining it to Aros.---men can be so dense sometimes-so it is good for them to have a woman's perspective. One day when your "teens" are grown you all can look back on it and laugh.
I still remember the first time my oldest came home from school after she had turned 21--it was like night and day---her little sister even looked at me & said "what have you done with my sister??"

I hope the talk does some good--if even just for a little while---

Good morning. I do love to be up in time to watch the sun rise.

I agree I like to be up early in the morning also--but I sleep best in the morning. I guess I need to train myself to go to sleep earlier at night so I can get up earlier in the morning.

I personally have been a walking zombie all day.
(...I don't have a graemlin for a walking zombie...just pretend like I do)

I am here for a the moment- no boys for me today... then the rest of week 24/7 except for school with them.... oh boy! I need to go to store to buy some fresh veggies and stuff...
I actually slept last night, at least from midnight on - got up about 8 so hopefully will get back on my reg sleep schedule... hope you can get some more sleep too Cindy- Dr Oz did a show on sleep today... you might check out his web site... lots of good info on there...
I just finished cleaning out my desk- got most of tax stuff together... not fun but one of those have to things.... now just have to get it to tax man...
Well I am off to start something for dinner- we had fish last night..flounder - dipped in in plain yogurt then breadcrumbs and citrus flavor spice- no salt variety for me--- came out nicely... don't know what I want tonight-- may wait for Joe to get home to decide,or go get something out...

I took a nap and now I am getting my fires ready to warm us a little tonight.

ok--I feel like I am getting a cold after all----I began feeling like this after I got home from taking my MIL to the dr today---and you know I could not get a cold/bronchitiis from her so quickly. I will hope that I do not really get this---I have not been to rehab fopr a week---so I NEED to go tomorrow--plus I need to finish some bookwork for my mom tonight & take it back to her tomorrow.

Oh God that sounds good. I want some. I have tilapia (no flounder), and I have yogurt, and I have breadcrumbs, and I have citrus spice. So...guess what my 3am snack will be?



I would like that nice cozy fire, too.
...but I don't have one...just stupid heat registers that seem to blow out cold air but for some reason they keep the house toasty warm. Never could figure that concept out.

My supper was really good- went a little heavy on the citrus but it was still good- will half it next time... we went to Subway tonight- didn't want to cook and will have to rest of week for boys- they are going to eat me out of house and home- did find a crockpot lasagna receipe that I am going to make ... use turkey instead of ground beef and they won't know the difference- garlic bread to go with and will be good warm supper and easy on Nana... tomorrow will be homework night and we will need fast and easy.... someone remind me to go to store in morning for noodles though and mozerella- don't know we didn't go on way to Subway tonight- one track minds I guess...LOL!
Well off to read a while , listen to president and watch some tv- have a good evening all!

I have just made and drank a cup of that. And I currently have Vitamin C drops in my mouth---I am tacking them one after the other---I will not get sick without a fight!!! Yea me.....

I had salmon patties tonight---no added salt --but hey--it filled me up.

As it is only 63 outside and last night's low was only 58* fires are really kind of redundant. But I prefer warm to coolish.

I prefer to think of it being in at the warmest in the 20's where you are Tina--and that your fires are keeping you toasty warm inside your house. Please do not destroy my wonderful dreams...OK???

Since we aren't supposed to talk politics here I won't...
...but there's nothing good on TV tonight on the network and news channels.

I'm listening to music with the headphones on so I don't wake Lola up.
I could have the music up full blast and not wake my brother up.

This is so weird...these sleeping pills the doctor gave me yesterday. They do not make me sleepy at all. I took 2 of them this morning so I could hopefully take a nap. I laid down in the recliner and couldnt even close my eyes for 2 hours so I finally got up. At 8pm I took one so I could hopefully go to sleep tonight. At the same time I gave my brother one and within 15 minutes he was out like a light...dead to the world...snoring his butt off on the couch. I am wide awake.

I am going to take 3 of them now.

Oh Cindy--plase be careful--we dont need you waking up dead---(all jokes aside)

sounds to me as if you need to go to a REAL Drs and tell him what you took & how it affected you---I have heard of other drugs that had the opposite affect on people--you must jsut be one of those people...I am so sad for you.

Too late...I'm already uncareful.

I have drank 6 cups of Sleepytime Tea with valarian and other herbal stuff that's supposed to relax me. I feel like I could run the freakin Boston Marathon right now.

...as my brother snores loudly from the other room.

oh my so sorry Cindy----as I say you need to tell a real Dr this--he/she might have something different to suggest.--as you can see from your brother--they DO work--just not on you.

I wonder if one of the side effects of some of your meds is insomnia, or causing sleeping aides to not be effective----you could read the information sheets--but it would be a lot easier to ask your pharmasist. :wink:

I wish I could stay up to see how you are doing but alas I am about to fall asleep at teh keyboard---

Good morning. Another day but it is the beginning of the downhill slide of the week.

Good morning everyone---I am off to therapy soon. Just let me say I completely understand now why people join gyms and then do not go !!! While I love going to therapy I resent having to take the time to go.

Only 52 days 14 hours and 3 minutes left until Spring!

Yea this keeps me going--have I ever said I hate winter--well I DO !!!

I have been totally kicking butt these last couple days. Today I did my pain in the ___ fax for the therapy department, made my stocking listing, stocked all my closets (normally I do this on Thursday), did an inservice with the first floor aides, went for a run around the lake, grabbed lunch and ate it, went to the store with my co-worker, cleaned my stock room, and still had time to kill. On that note, it's now time for me to go home. See you later!
