OK as I have stated many times before, things do not really do well for me in the planting/growing area but I do want to try and get some cuttings of wisteria from a neighbor and orange honey suckle. Now how is the best way to start rooting them and when is the best time to do this. Oh yes I live along the NW section of the Gulf Coast.

Now for either, if there are any leaves. I would cut a strand a foot or so long and fill a pot up to about an inch and a half of the surface. Then I would wind that string of leafy stem into a circle and cover just the stem part with soil. (so the leaves are the only parts showing). I would cover with a clear plastic to keep the moisture in and put it in a sunny window. Uncover and check for moisture and roots forming every once in a while. And maybe let a little air in if it seems too warm. I use straws or chop sticks to hold the plastic above the plants.
