Good morning---Happy Friday !!!
I am just dropping in to say "hi" I am venturing out to therapy in a few. Then if the roads are ok I will stop to do some Valentine shopping.

I got my son to school and stopped to shop. And I am home again. I did not need to shop but I now have enough breakfast items to feed a small army. I must have been hungry.

I am home now--and all of my Valentine's day shopping is done--well except for my SIL to-be. he does not like choclate & does not eat much candy.. I am thinking salted nuts ???

I was nervous going up to rehab because I didnt know if they had the roads cleaned all the way up to where the hospital I go to is. (they had) But the way home was a breeze, because I knew the roads were clear.

I hate to even bring this up, but "they" are predicting more snow to begin either tonight or perhaps over the weekend at some point---I may not be going to my test on Monday.
Prarie heart even told me they would understsnd if I had to call & reschedule. So even they are expecting it ???

I am off now to start supper. I'll be back later---

Yes, the weather on top of the weather you have already had has been in our news. I really feel for you folks in the midst of it.

Thanks Tina----luckily I have plenty of food here for in case we get "caught" in it again.

And I am preparing for a nice warm weekend, mid to upper 70's. I plan on getting a few things done outdoors.

I don't even watch the weather channel anymore...I just go day by day...kinda like Forrest Gump and his box of chocolates.

Ya know Cindy--that is best---all except for the buying food thing---because what will happen will happen--no matter what any weather man says.

Well...if it snows me in here I will run out of milk and toilet paper.
...but I have plenty of coffee filters I can use for toilet paper.

My night is nicely quiet. My day was a little busy with outdoor work. Fun

I wish it were nice enough to allow me to work outside---but I guess that time will come soon enough---I am happy you could though---that is a very ncie thing.

I'm in and out...kinda restless tonight. I started taking a steroid yesterday and it's making me feel weird...or weirder than normal.

Steroids can be rough on you, Cindy. I hope it helps whatever you need to take it for.

yes Cindy---I hope it helps whatever it is supposed to. hopefully the "feeling" will go away with a small bit of time

I finally fell asleep about 5:30 this morning...woke up about an hour later with a splitting headache. Feels like my head is going to explode. I haven't had a headache like this in many years.

The steroid is to try to get the swelled glands in my face and neck to go down. Te glands in my cheeks (right in front of my ears) are awful looking...it's the perotid glands, you need them to make saliva, but mine don't work. And the glands around my eyes (for making tears) are swelled so bad it's hard to hold my eyes open. This auto-immune disease (Sjogrens Syndrome) is not impressing me very much.

Is your steroid Prednisone? Any of the steroids can be really hard on you.

if it is Prednisone it is at least short term right??/ I think yoi say take 5 pills one day 4 the next & so on until you are down to taking no pills????

Yes, it's prednisone. I just have to take it for 2 weeks then go back to see if it's working and have a few biopsies.
I've been told even taking this stuff a few weeks will make you gain weight.

well I think it CAN do that--- not that it will do that---- and it is temporary so not to worry about that.

I will jsut hope it works---that is the main thing, right????

Yep...I will do about anything at this point to fight this thing.

I am almost out of toilet paper and what does my cat decide to do? Go into the bathroom and shred half the roll that is in there. Ahh, he's so cute!

Having trouble staying on the forum..I got booted off a few times today.

I can get on but sometimes when I hit submit--it takes my posts a long time to be posted. I had a hard tiem posting in the shout box today as well.
