My computer is giving me lots of trouble, hoping to get it fixed by the end of the month so I can get back here more...without it crashing on me every 5 minutes.

I hope that your computer probolems are easily fixed.

Good morning, I hope Tamara can get her computer fixed too. Today is my busy day at work, I'm taking tomorrow off to be with my mom at the hospital while my step-dad is in surgery. Friday I see a nutritionist and get my eye exam. I'm hoping it doesn't rain on Saturday so I can get some weeding done. My tulips are starting to bloom and they would a lot prettier if they weren't surrounded by weeds. Hope everyone has a good day!

g'morning everyone.--
I was going to therapy & out to buy a new blouse for my DD's next shower--but I think I will wait until friday. I slept too long & I have a lot to do at home here---

I took a nap this afternoon. It felt pretty good. I need to figure out dinner soon.

I just made a cheeseburger...yum!

Been to the doctor again most of the day...he started me on 2 new meds which I hope will fix me...azathioprine and pilocarpine.

...cheeseburger is calling my name....no...wait...it was saying "Lola", not "Cindy"...

I had to go look up those drugs, Cindy. I hope they work for you without any side effects.
I had a cheeseburger yesterday. I decided on orange chicken tonight with lots of veggies and the kids requested french fries. So that is what we had.

I wanted french fries bad tonight...too lazy to make them, though.

It's called fast food Cindy. You can even drive through now.

I'm stuck in the "gotta make it myself or I don't eat it" mode again...

I make most of my own. I like to know what is in that food I put in my mouth.

yes, I was just thinking that when what do my wandering eyes see,- but that Sheri had already said as much---

and if you HAVE to, Cindy---One can buy the frozen made already kind in a bag--, you just put them in the oven type french fries----

unfortunately I HAVE to know what is in the food that I put in my mouth.

but yes homemade are best---

I'd sure eat some drive-thru fries right now if I didn't have to go get them...
I want fries...need to make suet cakes, though...

if ya got some potaoes, turn the oven on to say 375* or so.

cut some fries, put them in a bowl--drizzle some oil on them & toss to coat well. If you are in to any kind of spice you can sprinkle that on too right now--

when they are all coated put them on a baking sheet & place in the oven---

in about 15 minutes or so, take them out & toss so the "down" side is on top & return to the oven--
then cook until they are as done as you would like-

and for you, when you remove them from the oven, quickly sprinkle with salt & remove to a plate & enjoy

gee now my mouth is watering....

I've had too many taters this week...made Bill's Famous Baked potatoes yesterday....YUM!

well now that sounds good too--I have no idea what gopes into Bill's famous potatoes, but I have a cheese & veggie baked potato that I like--that may just have to be my supper tomorrow night---

I'm not going to stay up much late...gonna try very hard to go to sleep tonight. (famous last words...)

I love baked potatoes...mainly the skin. I rubbed sea salt into the skin after I buttered it before I put it in the oven...so yummy.

That's pretty much how I make yam fries, except I'm lazy and I don't turn them over, Yam fries are very healthy for you too. In fact, I just had some for dinner after my salmon went wrong and I had to throw it out

oh my--so sorry about the salmon--I really like salmon--as a mater of fact I was going to have a salmon patty for supper tonight but DH said HE wasn't going to eat a chicken breast---so I did---I guess the patty wil be lunch tomorow.

I like yam fries too Cheryl----and I really should eat them more often than I do---

That made me think of a documentary on Animal Planet "When Salmons Go Terribly Wrong!"

I know.....Cindy needs to go to sleep...

I rarely make them but then I just discovered them frozen. So easy to just stick them in the oven and wait. I think I'll be eating them more often now.

Cindy, I hope you get some sleep also. Sleep is healing and know very well what it's like to not be able to sleep. Lol about the salmon. I don't know what happened. It was big chunk, I cook it like I always do except for less time and it was so dry I couldn't eat. I tasted way overcooked. The only thing I can think of is that it was previously frozen. I think I'll stick to the fresh even if it is a bit more expensive. I was really looking forward to it too. Oh well.

Tomorrow my step-dad is having his surgery. Tumor removal/colostomy. My mom said it was supposed to take about five hours. He'll be in the hospital for a minimum of seven to ten days, depending on how he's healing. I'll have my phone so I'll be able to check in.

Cheryl...I will keep your step-dad in my prayers...

ya know I cannot get fresh salmon here---not that I have ever found anyway---so the frozen has to suffice---well and the canned for the patties---
Frozen yams, huh??/ I will keep my eyes out--I wonder about the sodium though???

I will be thinking of you all --I wish your Step daddy all the best--and that teh waiting is not too taxing on the rest of you.

Carol, I found them in the organic freezer section and they are just cut up yams, no salt or anything else added.

PS...Bill makes the most delicious salmon...in the oven, a whole fresh salmon...it's so yummy...ask him for his secret recipe...it will melt in your mouth.

I hope you got a good nights sleep Cindy----but in my experience, you must give the meds time to work, & the body time to adjust.

A whole baked Salmoin---wow I bet that WAS good....I don't know about asking for Bill's secret recipe though---

strange---I just had to login--and I never log out as it were--oh well--good for me that I have all of my passwords, etc. written down in a book--else I would be in big trouble--

It's been a busy few days... got the basement almost done- got 2 big shelving units with 6 shelves each - hold the rubbermaid containers nicely...tomorrow will be getting rid of an exercise bike someone gave hubby- we already have one so dont' know why he wanted it.. then I will set up kids arts and crafts center down there and if I can set up my old desktop down there too.. put my old printer on it and let them play games on it- doesn't have a wireless card so can't get on net but they have lots of games they can play ...it has xp on it and I will clean it out as much as possible for them ....
We woke up to a dusting of snow on the ground today- we needed the moisture but thought it was supposed to rain so it was a little startling... all gone now- just muddy ...helps with the fire danger- they say we will have worst season in 9 yrs for that this yr...
I spent the other day making bathmats out of old towels- gave some to Carrie for the boys bathroom- any idea how wet 3 little boys can get a floor? and kept a couple for us... gave the old raggedy ones to hubby for car/garage use... love to recycle stuff till it can't be used anymore...
I would like to start garage saleing soon- want a couple chairs for the basement .. small comfortable type... hopefully will get to do that soon...
Well off to fix snacks for the tribe... they are starving as usual... have a good evening all..

Just back in from resetting a strip of edging bricks---every dew years I need to raise them back up to the proper level--this is apparently teh "year" for it again.

I also cleaned out between the pavers in one of the dog pens.--a little bit at a time & it will all be done---yea ME !!----

going now to finish up some paper work--catch ya'all later---

Just saying hello...these new meds are not fun today.

My advice ???

Call the dr tomorrow & ask if this is normal & you have to put up with it, or if it will go away with time--sometimes initial reactions will subside with time----but it would be good to know for in the mean time.

There's lots of side effects with this med...it's for people who have had organ transplants...to keep them from rejecting the organ.

I'll just have to suck it up and stick this out til I see if it's going to help me or not. I'll try anything at this point.
