Well, I just ordered my
seeds! All of them (both veggies AND
flowers) are heirloom, so I should be able to use their
seeds for next year's garden as well. I used a
seed house here in PA that is supposed to be the country's oldest heirloom
seed house, so it should only take a couple days for the
seeds to arrive. I ordered:
1 packet of both red and green salad bowl lettuce
1 packet boston pickling cucs
1 packet straight eight cucs
1 packet purple poded pole beans (the kids picked this one out)
1 packet Henderson's dwarf butter limas
1 packet Thumbalina carrots
1 packet Detroit dark red beets
1 packet Amish paste tomatoes
1 packet fairy bouquet dward snapdragon
2 packets Royal carpet Assylum
1 packet dward sunspot sunflower
1 packet red American legion poppy
1 packet Iceland Eartland giant mix poppy (I think there are like 3 or 4 colors in the mix)
1 packet Larkspur
So now I'm busy getting the beds ready and transplanting some plants to make room for the new
flower seeds. :)
