Hi, I am new to this forum and relatively new to gardening (3 years) I planted heirloom watermelon and cantaloupe seeds in the garden in early March. (I live in Phoenix, AZ) Obviously its been 4 months since I planted them and the plants are beautiful (plants not as big they should be) but none the less the plants look good but there is no melons on any of the plants. Last year I grew watermelons in the same conditions but they were not heirloom and by this time I had multiple 20 pounders and the plants were sprawling everywhere, so my question is what is the deal. The seeds say 90 days but its been an extra 40 days and they are not even close, I am scared they won't do anything before it cools down. I am doing all organic, and do a foliar spray every 3 weeks and a homemade compost/fertilizer mix to the dirt every 6 weeks. So what is the deal.

Welcome, mini. I am not sure what could be your problem. Have you had any blooms on your plants?

Have you any bees and such around to pollinate those blooms? Maybe hand pollinating may be in order?
