My granddaughter Bethany took Dakota in for her 2 week post surgery check up pressure was so intense in the eye they had to do emergency surgery on her . Looks like she will loose that eye yet if they can't find out what is causing the pressure build up. Thanks again for all your hopes and prayers.

I would like to put in a request here. My husband was admitted to the ICU last night with pneumonia. As of today he was considered in critical condition. He is currently sedated and on a breathing tube. Thanks very much.

Now they tell me he is starting to go into ARDS. I'm really scared right now. I can't lose my husband. Cheryl....I thank God that you are in a place where they recognize ARDS and know what to do. If I had been here in Kentucky I would have died.....Washington saved me.

His as stable as he can be. His heart rate is down to 106 today, which is good. He's still running very high fevers so they now have an ice blanket on him. They asked permission to go down his tube and get samples from his lungs to be able to pinpoint the bacteria so that they can make sure he's on the correct antibiotics. We're at a wait and see stage right now. Thanks so much for all the thoughts and prayers.

She has been there....where you are right now. She is very sincere in telling you that you can call her day or night, any time you want. She said if it wasn't for having the support of Diane she would have been lost. Rachel can tell you anything you want to know about ARDS.

There is some good news. His temp is not down to 100.2 which is significantly better than it has been. He's been consistently at 104 and even almost made it to 106 at one point. His heart rate is down, his blood sugars look great and he's on very little insulin right now. His bp is up and down but not dangerously so so they're just keeping an eye on it. By tomorrow we should have the results of the lung culture to find out just what type of bacteria is causing all of this. The prayers are very much appreciated and even though I'm not the religious type, I'd like to believe they are working so thank you. I know I don't come here much anymore but the gardenhelper people are always with me.

Great news, Cheryl. What is his PEEP level now? Any better? I know I don't come here much anymore but the Garden Helper people are always with me. We're family.......always will be.....

That is all wonderful news,Cheryl!!! I am so glad he is heading in the right direction. I hope they figure out what the bacteria is soon, so they can treat it correctly and get him back on his feet. Still thinking of you all!
