kissie Cindy. Thinking of you and your dad.

I remember when my brother first moved out he kept going home to eat, lol. I had shrimp, scallops, and brussels sprouts for dinner. The scallops were kind of bland the rest was very good. Tomorrow I'm making a homemade pizza with a cauliflower crust. Just got the recipe from a friend who is also gluten free and on a low carb diet. Can't wait to try it.

all part of a growing experience---and in the mean time she can see how good it is at home after all---always good for a child to see/realize that.

Cheryl--If you like the recipe let me know---I need a low fat/low sodium pizza recipe--I bet yours would fill the bill

Good Morning... well morning anyway I see a streak of light outside...
Joe goes in for his injection this morning... Carrie is going to be our driver.. praying all goes well and it works for him....
I didn't sleep but an hour.. just could not go to sleep... hate it when that happens.. especially when I have to be up early and try to be coherant the next day...
Coffee is on- chef is awaiting your breakfast orders too... have tea ready to go - your choice and lots of juice too..
french toast, pancakes, bacon and eggs too- sausage if you prefer... omlets made to order.. lots of fresh veggies to stuff them with...
pastries if you like too.. and fresh fruit to go with...
enjoy all!
Nana

That all sounds heavenly, Nana!
Good morning. I am glad the week is half over. It seems like a long one. I have no pressing plans for my day other than breakfast with my older son.

Morning again,

We are home- actually have been for awhile.. they gave him two injections of steriods and a med to kill the pain. hoping for a good long time.. he is finally resting upsatirs.. the anesthetic made him really goofy so rest is needed...
The boys are here now- playing in basement- a neighbor up the street gave us a sm air hockey table for them.. all her kids are grown so she came down and asked if we would like it.. they love it and it's in really good condition..
I may try to nap for awhile- didn't sleep last night - got about and hour of sleep so really need to gt a few z's...
Nana zzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Rest well, Nana. I know the steroid shots did wonders for John's torn rotator cuffs. So i hope they do as well for Joe's back.

Good morning. Today is to be triple digits and I will lay low. I have my oldest son here helping with my indoor and outdoor work. It is very nice. But it seems to keep me busier.

Your summer weather finally came, Tina? Stay cool. We are in the low to mid 70's but it feels like low 80's for our high. I have a couple of extra things to do today on top of my regular duties. Our annual block party picnic is tomorrow and I'm off tomorrow so I have to make sure emergency supplies are ready to go. Should be pretty easy though. DH wants to go to olive garden again tonight.

I can take 2 days of triple digits before we drop back into spring-like weather. Summer has not yet hit here (knocking on wood).
I got Teddy off to school and stopped to shop. The extra mouth to feed makes my life more interesting. And Jonni is back until Tuesday. So shopping for her new place in LA for her to take back with her.

I second that emotion !!! which is good as I get to stay at home today as well...AND I am beginning the day with several cups of coffee-- grin coffee
Then I "may" do some housework.--- why depends on my notion really... lol
besides, my head is stuffed, and I really don't feel like doing much yet.

Note to Bill:
That surely IS one big pebble---did you ever get it moved?? Did the critters get any help from you??? neenee

what is everyone else up to today???

I got Teddy off to school. In a bit I will be taking my older son off to a business office he needs to go to. Then I will take him to his home down in town.
After I get Ted home from school today I can unlax. At least until I take him to McDonald's for our regular Sunday 'dinner'. I am so looking forward to really relaxing a bit.

Happy Friday everyone! Not doing too much today. I got the laundry going first thing when I woke up. My brother will be coming by and we're going to walk some trails with his dog. His birthday is tomorrow, he turns 29. He thinks he's getting old, lol. The only other thing on my agenda today is grocery shopping. I'll be entering phase two of the south beach diet and get to buy new foods, including fruit. Boy, do I miss strawberries! I'm also going to try green smoothies for breakfast and see how that goes.

29 is not old. I just dropped off my oldest son. He is 36. My oldest daughter is 39. My youngest 2 are each 19 years younger than the oldest two.
I am in for the day. And in for all of tomorrow. There is some concert up the road tomorrow and fighting that traffic is so not fun.
I am going to nap.

I think it is a keyboard issue.
I got my desk chair broken down into pieces and to the dumpster. That is a good accomplishment feeling.
Laundry is laundering and dishes are done. Looking around for what is next. I am liking breaking things up for disposal. I must be in a destructive mood. I will call it deconstruction though. That makes my mental health sound better. There is so much needing deconstructing around here.

Yes, it's her keyboard. Good morning! Glad to hear from you, Merme. Tina, destruction is fun. I love when I can let loose and tear things apart. Cindy, you really do spoil that cat. He would get regular ol cat food from me. You're good to your pets. Have we heard from Carol yet? wanted to get some weeding done but there's something wrong with my wrist near where the thumb joint ends. I call it my tumor but it's likely some type of cyst or inflammation and it hurts when I pull or bend my hand in certain ways and it really hurts to put pressure on it. Oh well, it'll go away eventually. I may try raking the areas that don't have plants to make it look a little nicer.

Good afternoon. I should have gone running much earlier in the morning. It seems I had a bit of heat exhaustion today. I looked it up and said there were two types of heat exhaustion and one of them was salt depletion. My symptoms matched exactly. Good thing I realized soon into my run that it was too hot and walked a lot of it and since I knew my brother was stopping by I asked him to bring me a bottle of gatorade. I'm feeling so much better now so there must have something off with my electrolytes. I also trimmed my own hair today and it doesn't look all botched up so I'm pretty proud of myself. Especially since I did it while sitting on the tub with a portable mirror propped up because I was too nauseous to stand up in front of the bathroom mirror. I'm trying out the cauliflower crust recipe tonight. Carol, I'll be sure to let you know what I think of it. Gotta go get the meatballs started for the family's dinner. They're having spaghetti and meatballs with bread, fresh roasted garlic, and caesar salad.

I got a bad case of heat stroke or exhaustion once, Cheryl. I was so sick I didn't even know how sick I was and never called an ambulance. My kids were young and didn't realize how sick I was. I recovered but have rarely spent much time laboring in the sun since. I can't. It makes me ill still, 30 years later.
I took a very nice nap. Now I need to figure out dinner.

It was definitely unnerving. Glad I'm okay and knew what I needed at least. Thank goodness my brother was on his way over too. I made the cauliflower pizza but it's hot and I'm trying not to over heat too much and made a smoothie for dinner. I did try one piece though and it's pretty tasty. It doesn't hold together very well so you can't really pick it up like normal pizza, instead you have to eat it with a fork. Still yummy and I'll look forward to it tomorrow. The kids like my fruit and spinach smoothies.
