Thanks everyone,, storms are here,,, we will be leaving in the peak of them,, it's going to rain and storm in Ks all the week we are there,, Glenda family and I will see more rain then sun shine. My Mom loved planting flowers(perennials) while I'm there I'm going to plant something in her yard that will come bk every year, maintenance free,, maybe daffodils?

Who lives in her house with her? I have one bed circle I plant red white an blue , red salvia for sure...Hubby favorite bed an loved the salvias ....I keep it that way yearly. I love the idea of perennial bulbs. How about a small flowering bush to go with them? I think that planting there will be very soothing for you - great plan!

Thank you all...I have been pretty sick for the past week...and my doctor (gastroenterologist) is on vacation...so I have been trying to tough it out without having to go to a different hospital.

Can I ask you all to pray for all the people here dealing with the fires burning our state... seems like every hour we have more evacuations or pre-evac for these people... pray for rain to come and help these poor firefighters working so hard to get these fires under control and protect all these peoples homes...
We had about a 30 minute hard rain at our house tonit which makes us feel a little better... didn't get where it really needs to go but helped wet down our area at least....

Sherri...I will be praying. I have had to endure watching the forest fires coming closer to my mom's house over the years...just the thought of it upsets me. I will be praying for you all...and rain.

Please say a prayer and good wish's for my Great-grand Daughter Dakota Rae Towell was born in Jan. 2011 born with Eye disease in one eye just had her 4th surgery on that eye if not improved in two weeks they will have to remove her eye. The other eye is good but the blind eye has disabled her so much she has never walked they are saying it is Glaucoma and she was born with it. A beautiful little red head like her mama Bethany she is the granddaughter we raised along with Mike her brother. Thank you all in advance for your prayers and well wishes

Just found out Dakota Rae is scheduled for another Glaucoma procedure in 2 weeks. Trying to figure out where pressure is coming from.
