I may get snow tomorrow. Bill sent me a good storm. But we need the water and the snow pack for water down the line this summer. No complaining.
I am doing a little cleaning at a time here. I think I am on spring cleaning 1999 now. Ok, maybe 2005. Being stuck indoors due to a wet outside, I may get a little more done on that.

It was snowing here earlier. Not cold enough to stick or anything, just wet and sloppy. It's back to rain now. I plan to go running later but I keep putting it off because of the weather. I'm going to make homemade peanut butter granola bars today. Hope they're yummy but I don't see why they wouldn't be. I am so over this miserable cold, wet weather. I want some sunshine and warmth. Even mid 50's would be okay. Alright, no more whining. Hope everyone is having a good weekend so far.

I had a pretty good day today. Slept in, which was nice because I didn't sleep very well at all last night. Made a batch of gluten free granola bars, which turned out pretty good. Went to a couple of stores with DH then came home and decided to go for a run. The weather cleared up and my run was mostly sunny with a little bit of a breeze and low 50's. Perfect running weather. Made it nine miles without dying. Made hot dogs, coleslaw, and baked beans for dinner. I like making that dinner because I can eat it to and don't have to make anything separate for myself. After Mandy finished the dishes I whipped up a double batch of banana bread and have one plain loaf and one chocolate chip loaf baking in the oven. Gluten full for my family. Now I'm sitting here with my feet up waiting on the banana bread and once it's done I'll take a shower then settle down for the evening. My weekend is just about over, I have to work in the morning.

Sounds like a nice day, Cheryl. Banana bread sounds good too. But I'd have to hide the fruit to get ripe enough. My youngest wipes them out too fast. But I'm just as glad about that so no complaints.
Good night all. Late again.

Morning all,
Let me try again..laptop froze up... had to reboot it to get back.... banana bread sounds good to me too. but today is getting ready for hubby's suprise party... hard to keep party prep secret when he lives in house- helps he is working today...had to hide the burger and hot dogs next door so he wouldn't see them...LOL!
got my eggs boiled for deviling and tater salad.. making them gluten free so Nicoli can have some too.

At least our weather is going to be good so kids can play outside- may rain later but hope it holds off till evening at least..

Got to bake the the cake in a few and then get ready for one more store run... need to get buns and pickles.. hopefully can find okay ones for Nicoli... he loves pickles..

Well off to get shower and get started before dd gets here ... want to clean up deck so if weather holds we can eat out there...
Nana

Happy birthday to your hubby also Nana.

Did you get any snow Tina? Another nice day here...the snow is melting so fast.

Time to start cooking all your meals gluten free Cheryl...it would be so much easier.

It would be easier but my family would never go for it. They're Italian and they really like their pasta. It's okay though, I get to eat the things that I like and they don't. Works out for all of us. Nana, happy birthday to your hubby!

I did go back under the blankets for a while. I also got a couple inches of snow. It is melting slowly. Still mighty chilly outside. It is creeping up on 40* out there.

Hope the birthday party was a complete success, Nana. We went to town...the big one, Rapid city, to get my DH a large car port he has been wanting...got myself some new work shoes, then stopped at my sis's on the way back for dinner. She is feeling great, hope it stays that way.

thumbup glad you all got some extra sleeping time, I LOVE when I can get one of those days. I'll be hard at work tomorrow and Tues, then Wed is our 20th wedding anniversary and we are going to Thermopolis, WY for a few days. They have mineral hot baths there so we are looking forward to a few days of hanging out soaking up the good minerals and vibes!!!

Good night all,

Bobbie

Evening all,
We had a wonderful party and hubby says thanks for all the good wishes... he was suprised all the kids were here... son and son inlaw cooked , we had lots of sides.. some gluten free so Nicoli could eat them... his cake came out good... and we got him gelato for himself and icecream for everyone else... so he was happy - he likes gelato and most of the brand we found is okay for him...
Becoming an grandmother for the first time is fun, my oldest grandson is going to be 22 in 2 months... I was there for his birth and even cut the cord... can hardly believe he is so big and Old now... time does go by quick...
The weather is changing tonit.. got cloudy and windy so think we are going to get some rain or snow soon.. so glad it held off till tonit .. kids played outdoors and had a ball..
Well it is late and I am ready for my bed.. family get togethers are a lot of fun but they sure wear me out...
Nana

Good morning. I would like my weather a little further past freezing. But I'm told tomorrow it will be. So I can wait.
That sounds like a wonderful anniversary plan, Bobbi. Does Thermopolis smell like sulphur everywhere?
I am so glad the party went so well and that the weather held out for it, Nana. And that you were able to keep it a surprise is nice.
My kid is out of school for the next couple of weeks. I am going to teach him to clean things. We will make it a game.

Morning ,
Well yesterday was to much for Nicoli... he has a tummy ache.. but we didn't feed him anything bad.. this is gettng so frustrating... he is here with me today.. going to do some homework and let him rest up..
I like you anniversary plan too Bobbi, we have hot springs here too in the mtns but we have never gone- might be an idea for a mini vaca this summer for us..
It has dropped in temps here today... and is supposed to rain but so far just a little cloudy... would really like to see not more snow but guess we need the rain- got a fire going up north of us that rain would help a lot- winds sure didn't help it ...
Well off to get busy.. pay a bill or two and get stuff ready for boys to be here in a while...
Nana

It was stormy and cold the last few days. It's still cold and another storm is coming tomorrow. I told her they were cold and still snuggled up in their nests. why~Beth~

H'Lo again,

I forgot to mention I saw a robin yesterday... sitting on my fence... spring is here I hope (fingers crossed) it's been chilly today but mostly cause it's windy..

I think Nicoli is feeling better now- he ate some- Carrie is at wits end trying to figure out why he didn't feel well today... I think he has figured out if he claims a stomach ache he gets to stay home-so we made it less fun today- no computer or video games- he had to read to me 3 times and do all his homework packet too... he was bored but I think school is looking better now... even with a little tummy pain he can handle school...

Dinner tonit is leftovers from the party food- have salads and burgers left over- and I haven't frozen the stew I made day before yet so we can have that too.. I may cause I am feeling the weather change... told the oldest gs to come eat some- he had to work late so he didn't get to come yesterday.

Well I am off to fix me something , and go get my towels from the dryer .. that was the extent of my ambition today...

Nana

Nana: The little guys problems could be from excitement. When my niece & nephew were small, they would get sick at every major holiday (ie: when they were excited about something)--turns out it had to go with allergies somehow. So if nothing else keep track of when he does not feel good & see what else is going on. why

leftovers are a wonderful thing. thumbup

Could it have been a cross contamination thing, Nana? That can be hard to track. Hope he's feeling better and that maybe it did have more to do with wanting to stay home from school. Is he still eating dairy? Dairy can be hard to tolerate for a while, the damage done from celiac makes digesting casein very tough. I had a sick day today. Part of it is girly issues, part of it was proving a point to DH. It was dumb but can't take it back now. Anyway, I should be back to work and hopefully feeling mostly back to normal tomorrow. The Voice is coming on soon and we like to watch that show.

Dropping in....been in the chair all day. I tried to do a little something a few days ago and it has discombooberated my insides again. I guess I tore something loose.

yes many people with celiac disease are also lactose intolerant--and it is also possible that a product was made in machinery that had not been properly cleaned before hand, but y et is labeled as safe for Nicoli--this is all true--I feel so sorry for all of you. Plus there are many levels of celiac disease, & some people need to watch closer than others do.

Cindy, I find that I can not do a lot o f things even these 3-1/2 years after my surgery. I think we need to pretty much become "window dressing" haha bow

You two do way more than you probably should - couldn't call you window dressing at all...
It could have been cross contamination but we watched really well, I made his food on top of a cutting board- very large that is brand new and only used for his food prep.. Carrie filled his plate before anyone else helped themselves too but you never know I guess.. I guess it could be milk too- he is going to have allergy tests soon to see if it's an allergy prob or true celiac... they will test for milk and egg allergies too .
Well it is late and I need to get to bed.. been waking up way to early lately.. you would think I could sleep in when I finally can but just doesn't seem to work for me..

Nana--cross contamination could be occuring at the place where the foods you are suing is packaged as well. some places will run thru their gluten foods 7 then w/o really cleaning the machinery well, will run thru the gluten frre foods---now if you get some of the foirst foods you could be in trouble even if you have doine everything right--

I hope the testing helps you all get it sorted.

Sunny, I think washing crayon off of the walls is an honor--- bow

I hope the rest of you are feeling better today...

I cannot believe it is almost spring.--come on tomorrow !!!!

I am on my way to rehab--& then it is tuesday gang !! YAY Carol !!!! As an added plus, I get to see my oldest DD today.
