Prayer for our Cindy...please check in soon.

Well my foundation is beyond flooded, I have surface water in my well and my ceiling fan burned out....what a great evening I had. rspb

Today better be a good one.

Sunflower....I am flooded also. I think I need a boat to get out the front door. I haven't been outside to check for any damage, but I am still here so it doesn't really matter what happened outside. I am not going to enjoy this tornado season that isn't even supposed to be started yet. rolz

Good morning everyone. Sunny, is it because of flooding? Stay safe! We finally have spring! For a few days anyway. Yesterday it was 55 and sunny, practically felt like summer it was great. Today we might even break 60! Tomorrow is still supposed to be high 50's but partly sunny, which is absolutely perfect running conditions for my race. I managed to beat my fundraising goal, which I'm very happy about, I have a buddy to run with and keep me company, I'll have my camera because it's supposed to be scenic, can't wait! I'll be putting my step-dad's name on my bib as I decided to run this race in honor of him. He's rectal cancer survivor (and has been through a lot) and this race benefits colorectal cancers. I still have to eat something, start laundry, shower, run to the grocery store, and go shopping for work shoes. I also hope to get a little bit of gardening done as well. Gotta take advantage of this weather.

wavyGood Morning all, it's good to be home. We had a great trip to Thermopolis, but we like chico Hot Springs, which is in Montana, a lot better. Thermop does have the odor and I found I couldn't sit and relax as long because of it. Chico is farther, but we have decided we'd rather go the extra miles! We got home Friday night, and yesterday was busy, busy! Had some customers come by which always takes a while and then got a quilt done and was able to work with my seedlings some and outside for just a short time, then we went to our local highschool play. Whew. Today should be a little calmer! Hoping to get outside a little more, but I have to get a quilt done, took my days off last week! That working stuff sure gets in the way sometimes. lol

Did you get snow last night, Sunflowers? Yikes your weather is a challenge! We are still having amazing spring weather. It is all the talk around town....we are having a spring! But I am still concerned winter is not done with us yet and with all the trees starting to bud out it; could be hazardous for our precious trees...we have so few! And I know some are tired of the snow/rain but we sure could use a little! Have a wonderful Sunday flwr

If I answered that question I might incriminate my mother's daughter... egad

Bobbie...I used to live in your neck of the woods. Cheyenne, Wyoming and I was born in Great Falls, Montana! All I remember about it there was it was always snowing and cold...and there were moose animals walking around in Montana. Mom took a cross-country drive out to Montana about 10 years ago and said Great Falls looked exactly the same as it did 55 years ago when I was born.

Good late morning. I am working on building up my fire which went out last night. It is to be cold and wet this afternoon. But right now it is still sunny and dry. That is good for the nascar race a bit down the road though. I won't go down that road.

Im back from Ks,,, layed my mom to rest,, the Funeral was nice, and she was honored as she should have been. I saw childhood kids I grew up with in church. It was wonderful they had wonderful memories of my mother that they held dear to all these years.
It's good to be back home though! I have pictures of her flowers that bloomed while there,, most of them opened up the day of her funeral. It rained driving there, rained while there EXCEPT the day of her funeral,, it was a very nice day. God Plan was to bring warmth and sunlight on Friday,, and my mom loved her tulips and hyacinths and they opened up the day before and day of her funeral. angel

Diane, I am so sad for the reason you made your trip to see your mommy....but happy that she was honored, and that her flowers bloomed while you were there....and glad you had a safe trip. I love you!

Whew, have had a busy day, but a good one. Got a few quilts quilted, then went to work outside. Got one of my perenial flower beds all cleaned up and saw lots of new green popping up. zoink Not sure how to feel about that....I know winter is going to rear its head before we really have spring! Was digging in my one outside vegie bed (18" raised), was digging in the mulch left over from last year and kept hitting something hard...went and got my heavy fork and still couldn't break through, until I realized it was still frozen. touched haha it is still only March in Wyoming. So decided to work inside the green house instead. Got some radishes and spinach planted, and started to harden off a cauliflower, broccoli and onion plants I've had growing inside. Neither my DH nor I have had anything much to eat, so I had best go get some dinner on, Later flwr

I have a cold wet rain here. So my laundry is done and clean bedding is on the beds. I did duck out to McD's before the rains came down. It has been a couple of weeks since I had been for my son. I gave him a haircut and Ted is in the bath right now. He has another week off of school for spring break.

We lived real close to the Fontana raceway when it was first built....my hubby was working industrial construction at the time...but I must say it was a little crowded for me...too many people and too many cars! zoink I was somewhat intimidated. Gosh here it is only 6:30 and since we quit working outside early and had an early dinner I feel kind of lost for the evening!! We are out of town again for a few days, my DH has cataract surgery tomorrow in Rapid city...on the road again!

Bobbie, hope your husband's surgery goes well. I've heard a lot of positive things about cataract surgery.

Good evening everyone. What a day. Got up bright and early at 5:20am. Left the house at 6, picked up my carpool mates and headed out to the race. The weather was great and even though I was under prepared I still had fun. Came home and napped though so now I'll be up late finishing my laundry.

Bobbie ,
I had catarac surgery on both eyes a couple yrs ago.. it went really well and wasn't to long to recover - hardest part of me was the time in between eyes cause they did my worst eye first and then I couldn't wear glasses in between...and waiting for my eyes to get bad enough to have the surgery too... went legally blind so that part wasn't to much fun either-eyesight is much better now- still wear glasses but not nearly as thick and mostly cause I feel weird without them on,, have worn glassses since I was 7... it's all good now and see better than ever- the doc even fixed my astigmitisim to a great extent which is wonderful.
Well it's time for me to head for bed...

Well wishes for your husband today Bobbie.

It is snowing out which is a welcome sight to cover the ice and freezing rain. The weather gets stranger every year.

Thinking it is time for me to start my spring cleaning today....I love the smell of freshly washed walls. Ya I know...I'm strange haha

Bobbie, I wish your DH the best of luck.
I had cataract surgery too--I highly recommend it--BUT if at all possible I recommend the high end implants---the ones where you never need glasses again. I got the cheapest ones in the right eye & the ones that correct astigmatism in the left eye---so, now, my distance vision is 20/20 but I need glasses to read---and so where I would see better without glasses for distance, I have to wear them if I ever eant to read ANYTHING up close...

I agree Sunny, the weather does get stranger & stranger with each passing year---
so glad it snowed there--ice is not a good thing......

should do some spring cleaning---but not yet--the dogs are still here & all this week I will be helping my sister, while her DH is gone on a trip.

wish I could get a nap-- lol

my laptop "says" it is not connected to the modum---and since I do not know how to turn off the modem, I came to my desktop to tell you all that I am going now to watch TV---apparently "Robin" from General Hospital did not die in a fire--so I must watch todays show---(I record it each day to watch later so I do not have to watch the commercials)YAY for me !!!
