yep the weather is really messed up for sure

Freezing rain through the night here, now it is raining. Goodbye snow grin

Making my 'fix it' supply list today...not gonna be pretty money wise. I definitely need to find a few housecleaning jobs to help pay for it.

Carol, you could check at the hardware stores...here they sell mis-matched or wrongly mixed stain or paint for a few dollars a can. I buy them all the time and store them for future use. I've bought $40 stain for $5...

Thanks for the pointer, Sunny I will give that a try---

going now to get ready to take my sister to her Drs appointment--she wants to drive. rolz so I told her I will drive her car home if she is wore out...I think this will be her first time driving since her surgery.

I wish it had of been warmer--I was going to put varnish on the feet of the plantes this am--since the stain I didnt get to do an ything last night--the stain I had in the shed last night was redwood, so I didnt use it. But is is in the 30's this am so no outdoor painting for me.

catch you all later---bye

Good morning. I wouldn't mess with those planters color-wise. They are too pretty.
It is raining here pretty good. But it looks like it will taper off pretty early in the day. We are to get more on Friday. Rain is good.

Hi all, I am so excited...it's the first day in the past 7 months that it has been nice enough to go out and 'get dirty'. I have been cutting back things and cleaning up dead foliage and such. It's still a little cool out but the fresh air and smell of dirt is amazing. grin

My sis-in-law was laughing, I'd rake the bare ground then hit a snow patch and rake that out thinly as well. Another 3 days or so and my snow will be gone in my yard..whoohoo.

LOL! Only Sunny would rake snow, but I get it ... getting yard ready is more fun than shoveling that white stuff anyday...
I have boys today- the schools had a furlogh day for the teachers and all state workers .. I have 5 little boys here right now... so far they are playing ok.. hard when you get odd numbers- they tend to gang up on one of them .. usually Nicoli since he is the youngest... but at least I am getting stuff done in house while they are outside...
It was over 80 here yesterday... and a lot cooler today but still nice so far- cold front coming in and supposed to snow in mtns and maybe we will get some rain tonight thru this weekend - there is another fire here so we need it for sure- it is so dry... Joe mowed the yards yesterday... we are going to have a friend put the new water pump in the truck in the next couple days- Joe would do it but his back would go out and then nothing would get done... that way we won't have to have the wood for the fence delivered- save us some money... and we found the new cabinet we want for the tv Joe wants too so we can go get that.. I am shooting for Father's day for that .. still haven't figured out what I will do with all the stuff on my wall unit but guess it will go somewhere.... I keep telling kids to quit buying me decorative stuff - have way to much and hate dusting it... just so much stuff!
Well boys decided it's lunch time- they got here after ten so weren't hungry till now I guess... mac an cheese and pizza rolls- I swear they are turning into pizza rolls... did I tell you all the tests on Nicoli came back neg for celiac disease... and we are feeding him normally again he is doing fine.. doc said it was the over dose of laxatives put his intenstines into spasm that caused the pain... he is eating healthier now- they all are and is gaining weight again- he has lost 5 lbs which is a lot when you are as little as he is so all is well... thanks for all the prayers and help .... hope we never go thru another on of those times...
Well off to finish up lunch for starveing boys!

Very good news about Nicoli, Nana. I tell my kids that if I have to dust it, I do not want it. Most of my bric-a-bracs are packed away for them to claim or toss after I die.

Morning... It's been a fun night- had our first thunder, lightening storm yesterday... boys do not like it at all when it thunders... but it didn't last very long.. then last night as I was getting ready to go up to bed.. it started all over again- so didn't go to sleep for a while- it was right above the house and loud... lasted about 30 minutes and soaked us nicely- grass is really greeen now.. Joe had put the fertilizer down when he mowed.. so that was good timing- probably will need to mow again this weekend...LOL!
Our son came by last night to get our GPS to use on his trip to AZ.. his oldest daughter is gettin married next week... then they are going to come back thru Vegas for a mini vacation - my oldest is going to be watching the twins for them at their house... he got them a fancy jacuzzi suite at the Luxor and told her they had a reg room so she will be suprised...they don't get a lot of time away from kids so that will be a nice time for them- being parents of autistic twins is not easy....
Well got up late so just now time to get my breakfast ... got to go eat and get my day started- one more level of house to deep clean and some laundry to do too.. never ends..

My steel front door is covered with things Teddy makes at school and brings home. He may be turning 18 in a couple of weeks but he will be in first grade forever. The things that a magnet will not hold on the door, hang around for a bit and then usually go into the trash as the dust thickens on them. Things like paper flowers in a TP tube vase for Mother's day, that is. Anything with a picture of him gets stored.
I had been talking about my adult children. I don't want Greek statues and such that need dusting. I like things that can go outdoors and get hosed off, though.
I am cooking today. I do like to cook.

Thanks, friends...
I am hoping to sleep now and will be back at the hospital in the morning when the doctors make their rounds.

Well, I just wrote a long post about this and deleted it....no point in getting worked up over this again...my blood pressure is 160/110 right now so I will just try to sleep. I'll explain tomorrow.

Nighty night...

Hi all,
Prayers Cindy for you and your Dad... candles are lit.... take care of you too...
We had another tstorm last night- sure is loud when it echos back from mtns... hear it all twice..

Not to happy with the kids school today- yesterday Nicoli hurt his knee on the playgound- went to clinic and the attendant didn't call us at all- and gave him an ice pac but let him go back to class , his knee was bruised an swollen- he was limping,, Timothy saw it when they met in front of school to walk home and asked to use phone to call me to go get them., he couldn't walk home like that... the nurse wasn't there- she is good about calling but gee this attendant knows the boys and knows how far it is to my house... Carrie called school this morning to tell them she better get called whenever her boys go to clinic for an injury... We did have good news for Derek , the special ed teacher he loves- Mr K is going back to our school next yr- he is the only one that knows how to make things easy for Derek to learn- the ones at the school now just don't get it and tend to yell which doesn't help anyone... hopefully he will help Derek catch up, Carrie is going to ask him if he could tutor Derek this summer or give us a lesson plan to help him catch up.. if he could just talk to us about how to help him it would help a lot...

Well better get my lunch and get something done ... been lazy this morning...
Nana

Cindy, :hugs:

I went to the doctor today and now have a cocktail of medication. Hope it helps and that I'll be able to lose weight too. Got a bunch of juice made today, bought a ton of produce for said juices, cleaned up in the kitchen a bit, started laundry, and now I have to get ready to go regular grocery shopping.

Good news for Derek Nana kissie

I need to lose some weight also Cheryl...the meds they gave me kicked in over time. I went from 112 lbs to 147 in just a couple months. I feel stiff and achy now. juicing sounds so healthy.

Sun is shining today..looks beautiful.

Hi all, back home and feeling well enough to type. Got home late Thursday, but the incision on the back of my left hand is 2 1/2 inches long and I couldn't even think of typing yesterday...but I feel so much better today.

Read back through and I don't see an update from Cindy about "Big Bad Dad" Prayers for the both of you.

We did find out that my sis has RA. Her hip replacement and rehab went very well. Her next surgery is scheduled for May 4, she is hoping they will do the other hip first, then the other knee. Yikes.

We are getting that rain too, Nana, and loving it...although I just looked outside and it is looking more like snow tears But I am not complaining too loud, we need the moisture so bad.

Well, I don't want to overdue and just this little bit of typing is beginning to hurt my hand, so take care all flwr

Bobbie, glad you are doing well--please take care & take it slow--I know it is tedious sometimes to wait for the healing part--but in the long run it is the way to go.

and yes, I would like to hear from Cindy as well--

Bobbie, hope you continue to heal well and yay for rain. That is one thing that we are never lacking here. Healing thoughts to Cindy. Our kids are on spring break this week so I'm on my own every morning. Been busy tonight. Went running, made myself dinner, took a shower, continued with the laundry, put away most of the laundry, juicing for an hour or so, making up snacks for tomorrow, switching the laundry again and put away another basket full. Now I'm just waiting for my last load of laundry to dry and I can go to bed. Whew! Tomorrow will be easier.
