Good Morning everyone---It is quiet here today all be it colder--56*F here but windy & no sunshine. I was going to do a bit of varnishing of the feet of my planters, but I think I will wait, as I am going to my Sister's house today when she calls me.

No rain expected here. Sunny and between 70 and 80 all week. I need the break from hauling firewood and it will give me the opportunity to climb on the roof and clean chimneys.

Be careful on that roof Tina. I broke a toe yesterday...stupidity from walking into a door. I also found out the meds they have me on caused bone loss and 50% of the people on them have bone fractures...gee would have been nice to been told two fractures ago. Apparently I am not supposed to be doing 'cautionary chores'. May as well tie me to a chair... Beautiful out today...I have crocus blooming, whoohoo

we got 1/2 inch rain last night and I've been out dead heading my roses. Got a question, can I dead head irses?

Yes, iris' can be deadheaded too. It is best unless you are saving them for seed.

Tina..I finished up that prescription but it's going to take a while for my bones to strengthen. Oh well, I'll live to tell another tale.  I have daffy's blooming as well...what a lovely surprise so early in April...pics tomorrow.

Good morning...raining out at the moment. Hoping it stops soon, lots of outdoor chores to tackle while DH is home to help.
DH got layed off from his job on Friday...hoping it's not for too long.

Sunny, Sorry about the rain & sorry about the lay-off. but as you say at least he will be home to help with chores. It'll be good for him--he can see first hand all that you do, which gets him out of tons of work.. :wink: well it is tuesday--so I am off to do my tuesday stuff now.

Good morning. I am hoping some work comes by soon for your DH, Sunny. But having help at home is a good thing too.
Another school day ahead for us. And then to, hopefully, pick up my daughter's car from the shop. We just dropped it off yesterday afternoon and she is feeling very naked without it sitting in the driveway.

So sorry about your DH getting laid off, Sunnflowers, I too hope it does not last long. Things around here are pretty scarry, with the mild winter...well not for you Sun...but down here coal was not in demand and they have cut way back on production. They have not laid anyone off yet, but everyone is concerned. My DH is just glad he is going to retire soon. Was on the road again yesterday, took my sis to the doc. During her hip operation the surgeon took a sample of her bone and sent if off to be tested. The pathologist that "read" her sample said it was RA. She had more blood work and went to her arthritis doc yesterday and he said the blood work did not show RA and he (arthritis doc) was confused about the conflicting reports!!! You think he is confused! So the arthritis doc is supposed to talk the surgeon and get back to my sis.  I wish they would quit practicing and get it right. Hope you are feeling better Belinda....and I hope the sun shines on you soon, Bill. We too are supposed to have unsettled weather all week, but I am glad for it. The prairie should be green this time of year and it is still winter brown.  Happy Tuesday all

sorry to hear that Bobbie, I hope your sister gets it all straightened out--scary stuff.
I didn't go to ceramics I went from rehab to my sister's & she set me down with her extra lap top !! she knows me well, huh ???
