Last fall while riding our motorcycles through Montana, somewhere I lost my heavy leather coat. Figured it was gone for good. About a month ago I got a call from a guy in MT, he had found my coat and while going through the pockets recently, he found a crumpled up receipt with my husband's name on it. (He is also a motorcycle rider) So he found our phone number (we still have a land line) and gave us a call and sent the coat back to me. He didn't want any money, even to reimburse him for the shipping. So I made him this quilt wall hanging:[Linked Image]
Got the hand work finished on it this morning so I can send it off to him. I love that he went the extra mile to find the owner of the coat!!
Have had a great morning....made my favorite hearty bread, broccoli/cauliflower/cheese soup and apple crisp. The bread is in the oven and making the house smell sooooo good. DH is on nights....I don't guess I have to wait for him to wake up in 2-3 hours to cut into that bread notme

It's been snowing all day, but still melting as it hits the ground! applaud

Bobbie that is a great story and a wonderful outcome---I am sure the guy will appreciate the wonderful thank you gift.

3rd round of storms just coming by now---so I am going to turn off the computer for the night--

sweet dreams to all of you.

I've had a long day. Got up at 6:30 and went to go run with a group. Bad asthma had me turn short and walk most of the way back to my car. Came home, made myself an omelet then went and got the grocery shopping done. Put it all away and then got the laundry started. After I got my second load into the wash I decided to try again to go running. Made it five miles without any major incident so I was happy about that. Came home, switched out the laundry and then relaxed a bit until it was time to make dinner. I made my home made lasagna for the family and I made myself scallop and cabbage tacos. Switched out laundry then dropped the boy off at a friends and DH and I went to Sears so he could look at some tools and so we could buy an extra recycle container. Came home, switched out yet another load of laundry then I microwave baked an apple with some cinnamon sugar for my dessert. Now I'm beat and ready for bed. Not ready for my weekend to be over though. I love that frog, by the way!

So sorry to read about your loss, Sunny. I know that foggy feeling, like you're day dreaming, very well. We've had a lot of losses here recently. Hopefully we can all help each other through the difficult days to come.

I am glad I am not planting bunches right now. Don't work too hard, Suzy.
We have warm weather. It rises slowly and drops pretty quickly out there. I do like the cool mornings.
I think I am ready for the new school week. Laundry and bathed boy, etc.

It's hot as hell here during the day, then at night down in the 40's so I have to go straight from the air conditioner to the heater. No wonder the dang thang is broke all the time...I'm confusing it to death!

I have been in such a weird mood for the last few days, you'd think I still had hormones. Everything since the baby birds getting killed has made me cry...right after that was the thing I read and picture I saw of that poor dog in China with a stick stuck down it's throat so it couldn't bite the people who were skinning it alive for it's fur...for coats and hats. XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX(edit)XXXXXX right now that I am praying that my psychiatrist gets off her leave of absence soon because I am about to explode.

If you saw that frog for 4 seconds, you saw all it did, just chilling on a bench.
I did not click on the links to see those videos, Cindy. I know I won't like them so I avoid things so disturbing. I hope you can get it out of your head.

The majority of my 'friends' on facebook are animal advocates and animal activists, so you can only imagine how many disturbing things are on my wall everyday. I don't usually click on them...and yesterday I used the "Hide all posts by xxxxxxx" button, and felt bad about it because I don't want to be complacent to what is happening, but it really upsets me so much I can't function...it disrupts my already messed up life. I mean, if baby birds getting killed by a cat upsets me to the point of crying all day, you can only imagine what the other stuff does to my head and heart.

Enough about that subject.......

Here is a new robin nesting place Jeremy built for the robin in case she has another litter of babies...sometimes they have 2 litters (or whatever you call it when a bird has babies...) a year. No way a cat can get to it.

Cindy--tell jeremy & rachel that if the bird does not use the new nesting place this year to NOT take it down--I read once where birds will not use new places--so if she does not chose to use it this year, she should love it next year.

Really cool new nesting box BTW: thumbup

When I can't sleep I can't do anything constructive...except listen to music with the headphones on.
I disappeared last night because I got sick at my stomach... boohoo

Been busy myself lately.....going back and reading helps me to get caught up! SS about the bad images, Cindy, yikes, there are times I don't even want to know those kinds of things go on...I certainly wouldn't want to see a picture of that. Nice nesting box! We have several bird houses around the yard and I love to watch the newbies emerge in the spring! Way to go on getting a UFO finished, Carol... I have too many to count! Hope you had a wonderful "me" day, Sunny. Those are wonderful and sometimes ever so fulfilling. Hope you got your bulb moving project done, Belinda, yikes, I never seem to have time for everything I want to get done...I would hate to have to re-do a project!!!

I had a busy day myself, make some burger buns for the b-b-q moose I made yesterday, got laundry done, got my work done, ran errands, and now I think I am ready for bed...my kitchn is a mess, but tomorrow is another day flwr Get my stitches out of my hand tomorrow, YEAH applaud good night all

Good morning all..guess Bobbie is as busy as our Nana.

Thinking today will be a day of rest for me, yard work can wait another day. My body isn't cooperating with what my mind wants it to do....

I had Rod wake me before he left for work so I could get to rehab early, so as to fit my whole day in more easily---well I fell back to sleep & got up at 6:30--& now it is storming---I could really be sleeping well right now.. rolz I love to sleep when it is raining.

MY Car is hail damaged & I am not real keen on going out in the storm again. nervous My youngest DD just could not "get it" that the people with the oldest cars were the most upset when it hailed at her party on saturday...But then I guess that should make me feel good.

It is tuesday, & that makes me happy---but I have a lot of other errands to run today as well.
Yep, Bobbie did sound busy---
See you all later. wavy

Good morning. I hope you get a little ceramic time in today, Carol.
I am sorry your body is not cooperative today, Sunny.
I have no excuses not to get my day started. It isn't even raining here as the weatherman promised.
I hope everyone has a good day. A great one even.

So Sorry you are not feeling up to par Sunny, I had a chiropractor tell me that stress can feel like getting hit with a Mac truck.

I always considered myself a "homebody", I work out of my basement, I have my quilting and gardening. But it seems like this year I am always on the road!! Friday I go back to Rapid for my sis's next surgery, won't come home till Mon or Tues. She does have RA, they are not sure why it is not showing up in her blood work, but they sent the pathology to the Mayo clinic in Minn and 3 Pathologists confirmed she has a rare form of RA. Didn't know there were different kinds! why Isn't one kind enough?

Thursday I pick up our youngest from the airport in Denver applaud, then bring him back the next week.

But for today, I'll mow the lawn, feed it and get some work done. No more baking! If I didn't work I would bake too much....and then I would eat too much nono

So sorry about the hail damage on your car, Carol. If the bumps did not "break" the paint you can get sometimes get them out with dry ice.

Well I was up late last night and it is getting late already this am, so best get to it.

Have a great day all flwr

Hey everyone. I am so incredibly tired today. I'm having trouble making myself do much of anything. Good thing today has been very quiet and easy so far. I somehow hurt my shoulder by laying on it last night and it hurts to lift it. But, the sun is shining and overall things are good so I really shouldn't complain. I think I'll leave work early today instead of tomorrow and try to enjoy some of the sunshine.
