Congrats on the new family member Cindy..post a pic of the new hair-do grin

Had a LONG weekend(family visits/sick family members), managed to take the baby to the circus for an hour...she enjoyed the merry-go-round but was nervous of the other stuff.

Can't go a day without raining here...so humid.

I thought it was going to rain last night...but it never did. It just stormed really bad...trees are down everywhere...and seems like everyone near me got rain but not a drop here. Send your rain to ME!

It's still longer than it was when I was at Bill's...thinking about cutting a few more inches off...it strangles me when I am trying to sleep...I turn over so much it ends up wrapped around my head. boohoo

I remember when I first cut my long hair off. I was so relieved not to be strangling myself every night.
I went out shopping twice today. We are stocked up for a few days on fresh stuff and up to a month of staples. But I am tired now. I was up early today.

I'm going to cut my hair for Ambroja's wedding, it's in the middle of my back now,, Healthy, and doesn't strangle me in my sleep lol but all I can do is pull it back, or braid it or put it in a bun,, it's boring,, don't know what style I'll go for ,, I sure don't want it short at least no shorter than the top of my shoulder,, Cindy did you layer yours or a straight cut?? I'm thinking of layering,, to add volume when I curl it,, seems the older I get the thinner it's getting, I'm just tired of the long flat straight hair zoink

Uhhh...about as straight as I could get it...I bent over and brushed it straight down, pulled it together and cut it all at one time. I meant to get Rachel to do it when she was here a few weeks ago, but I forgot to ask her.

I had the weirdest dream the other night...I dreamed they passed a law that nobody could have grey hair, so everyone with grey hair had to dye their hair or go to jail. I was so upset (in my dream)...woke up before I dyed it and my hair had attacked me in my sleep and was so tangled around my head I like to never got it untangled. lol

I incorporate what is happening right now into some of my dreams. So I can understand the smothering hair. I have been attacked by mine in the past.
It was a very busy day again. I love it. Some of my house is coming together the way I want it to.

I had a busy day and hated it...lol boohoo
Had to have my phlebotomy today and got that nurse AGAIN that can never find the vein, and she just keeps jabbing that nail-sized needle around. When she finally got 3/4 of a pint out and was still jabbing the needle around constantly she said "I'm going to have to find another vein". I told her politely that I thought she had taken enough blood and I didn't want to finish. None of the other nurses ever have a problem....only her. rolz

This dog.....he is enough to make someone dream of being on a pig farm. I swear, he snorts and makes pig noises constantly while he is sleeping...I keep waking up saying "Excuse me!" notme

My dog is snorting more as he is aging. I'm glad he sleeps with Teddy and not with me. They snort at each other.
I am getting ready to shut down and go to bed. Sweet dreams all. And no wild hair dreams.

I'm thinking this dog is about 6 years old, maybe (probably) more. That might explain some of the snorting...lol
Sad not knowing his real name, or why he was dumped.

I am going to try to sleep (with no wild hair dreams)....nighty night..... snooz

Good morning, we went 24 hrs without rain. Hope whoever it got shared with, enjoys their turn. But they didn't have to send it back so soon, rain for the afternoon.

Spent the day yesterday outside, catching up on yard work...today is an inside cleaning day. Baking needs to be done this afternoon as well.

I cut my hair once from the length of my lower back to a pixie cut..most shocking thing ever. I like it better at my shoulders and layered well.

Haven't been on in a few and it was fun to read over the posts! Are you going to send a picture of your new addition to the family, Cindy? I bet he(she?) is so happy to find a good home.

I wear my hair on top of my head in a tight bun or it gets wrapped around my neck also! I think about cutting it, but my DH would not appreciate it. But most of the time it is in a tight bun, too hot, or too windy or working!

The smoky air we are experiencing has given me several asthma attacks....the inhaler just doesn't seem to be doing it and I have to take a benedryl...then I sleep. It is all pretty scarey around here. I don't remember the last time we saw rain, and these high temps are just not helping. We have friends that have had to evacuate and rancher friends that have had fields burned. My water bill this month is going to go through the roof, cause I am watering every day, espically the trees, they are not used to this kind of heat either! I've found 4 dead baby birds under my big Blue Spruce in the past week. I am thinking the heat got to them tears

Have a great 4th everyone flwr

Take care of yourself, Bobbi.
I am thankful every day that our water is gravity fed from the mountain behind us and we only pay a nominal flat fee once a year to the federal government for its use. It does not stop when the power goes out because there is no pump involved. Hearing the stories and weather across the nation is a good reminder for me to be grateful for my blessings.
Today will be a watering day and housework.

So sorry for the drought..we take water for granted here also. I have a well but also have a river that runs across the road and one through the back of my farm.

It is hot out there..too hot for baking today. Rain is holding off.

I got a call from someone wanting me to take in 12 goats that a farmer decided to get rid of..uhm no, I'm not the animal drop-off shelter. It amazes me the calls I get. They think because you have a few animals you can rescue all. People forget that I also have to buy feed and pay vet bills.

Goats can make great lawn mowers, Sunny. But I agree. We had people wanting us to take in all sorts of animals and it was a no go from the beginning. We did not want the care and feeding and vet bills either. I had one of the only children who really didn't care much if she had a pony or not. But she got a lot of riding opportunities on full sized horses. And decided it was not her thing. They were fine to visit but not really cuddly pets.

My mare is good Tina..her symptoms have almost disappeared.

I agree, it's like when people drop off batches of kittens because we have a barn...my barn is clean, the odd mouse can be found but not enough to even supply one cat. So I am buying feed there as well. We have a few feral cats that moved in but the foxes and coyotes seems to always catch their young.

I am over run with wildlife lol

Good morning. Yep, we have foxes and coyotes too. And cougars and bobcats. My last cat disappeared last year. But he was ancient. I am very lucky my dog is terrified of snakes.
It is the Fourth of July and I have a big day of house cleaning planned. It sounds worse than it is. I like house cleaning mode when it strikes. It doesn't strike often enough. Gardening mode strikes more often. But as the weather warms, inside things get more appealing.

Good Morning, Happy 4th of July,
I never "like" the cleaning mode, but I sure like the results! I used to have a lady come in and clean, but in anticipation of DH retiring, we let her go the first of the year. tears I manage to get my house clean, but not all at once like when she came in. I used to love coming upstairs from working on Tuesdays and my house would sparkle! Now that DH is retired maybe I can get him to get that done? haha

We have a b-b-q later with our neighbors, I have my beans and potatoe salad ready so I am just going to work today. This will be the second time in the 16 years we have lived here that there will be no fire works tears But I am glad they finally put the ban on. We still plan on having our hoses out and turned on with hand activated sprayers just in case.

There are foxes and coyotes here, but we don't see them much, but the deer and antelope have been reeking havoc with one of my front flower beds. We have a lot of antelope that have moved into town as this is one of the few places that have water. Several times throughout the day I see them come drink from my pond. When I notice them I don't move, just so they might get their fill, cause as soon as I move they run away.

I think my coffee is ready,
Have a Great Day

Bobbie
