Thanks, Tina and Dodge. I almost got out of bed last night to delete that post.
Had another weird dream...I dreamed I went to Roach's funeral (it's today) and he got out of the casket and came back and sat beside me. I said "Don't you need to go get back in the casket?" and he said "Not until they start to carry it out to go to the cemetery. I can set here with you for a few minutes". Weird. touched I wish my headshrinker would hurry up and get back off her leave of absence. When she finally gets back she's going to have to start all over trying to make me 'uncrazy' again.

Cindy
Do you eat before you go to bed? That makes one dream.
An you usually dream about what was your last thoughts before you go to bed.. You just feel out of focus because you didnt go.. Direct your mind to something else. What I do when I cant shake a thought, go do something like a jaunt to the store or go for a ride an see something.. If you have a free library , visit there read the paper or check out books an go home an read them.

Any thing....Visit animal shelter.
I enjoy just crusin when I am down..
I dont run in an out of neighbors, nothing in common with the uppity. I live on a farm an love it .

Just thoughts for the day

When an earthquake happens, I always look at the clock to see the time. Sometimes they come in waves and I want to be able to connect the sizes of the quakes with the times I felt them later on when watching the news. Looking at the clock reminded me...
Teddy is my mental health support. Looking after him and his needs, taking him to school (another earthquake right now 9:33 am) keeps me active and sane.
I do like our quakes. I had to hold the monitor to make sure if it strengthened it wouldn't fall in my lap.

This quake was bigger and a little closer to me today, 4.5 to last night's 4.4. Fun, the news broke into programming to talk about it.

oh my Cindy--I hope you are feeling better today. Barb gave some good advice. And I think it would work for all of us.

Tina, gracious---please take care of yourself & Ted. Earthquakes can be scarry.

I have enjoyed the quakes we have had. As long as they aren't destructive, I always feel like Mother Nature is letting off pressure. Science says that is probably not so but I like to think that anyway.

Cindy, my meds make me dream..the most realistic dreams at times. I have also dreamed of dying and it was peaceful, in fact it has made me not scared of dying as strange as that may seem.

Getting your thoughts out is good for you..post as you need kissie

Just got back from visiting the grandbaby for her 2nd birthday...guess who followed me home? grin

I have crazy vivid dreams naturally, my meds enhance them and bring them to new crazy levels. They don't bother me though. The kid come back late tonight. I'll be asleep before DH leaves to pick them up but I'll see them when I get home from work tomorrow.

Good morning all, sun is shining and rain is holding off for a bit.

Farmers are complaining about the potato crop, the heavy rains are doing its damage. I had trouble with grubs in mine...prices will sky rocket again I'm sure.

Blanched and froze two gallons of yellow bean pods last night...slowly prepping for Winter.

well I dont have a lot more I can freeze but I w ill get a few more pints of tomatoes & perhaps a bit more zucchini.

Rod has a Deer permit--so we will hope he gets me a big deer this winter...If he does I will have all the ground meat I can use ( clap)

Well happy day, we had a storm last night--& we got 2 & 1/10 inches of rain. They are talking like we will get more this afternoon. Only took me about 15-20 minutes to pull all of my weeds, the ground was so soft...

Well, I am off to run some errands this morning..I want to get home incase we do get storms this afternoon--have a good one ladies...

Just checking in again...I have had some (medical) issues the past 4 days (might have something to do with those dreams....) and I am going to take a shower (just in case I have to go to the hospital) and then lay in the chair. The house is a wreck...this kitten has too much energy now, and then when Spartacus gets into the mix they seem to make a mess out of everything. I didn't think a kitten would be any more work...I was wrong....again.....

Good late morning. It was hot sleeping last night. And my coolers on were irritating me. So I dosed up with Nyquil at 1 am and slept well. I did turn off my alarm. So Ted is missing a school day.
I am glad you got rain, Carol. And I am glad you got some sunshine, Sunny. I am also glad you got some produce this year. I know you have had some really thin garden years in the past.
I have no major plans today. Watering outdoors and plugging away at my house inside.

Thanks Tina---I need to begin to plug away at my house as well--this baby blanket has been consuming my time--days and nights.

Cindy---take care & don't worry about the house..and ya know---If it really bothers you, I bet Rachel would be thrilled to clean your house--she loves to do that--invite her back down to "help" you clean. notme

Sounds like a plan to me...tell her to swing by and pick me up grin

Watching the rain..I need to do some baking but it is so hot in here. I am honestly thinking about saving for a small air conditioner for next year.

Plugging away netted me a whole loaf of French toast in my freezer and a cleaner kitchen fridge. I'm moving on to boning a chicken for chicken salad. It is one of the few things that sound good to eat on these hot days. Besides lots of fruit and salads.
I bought this chicken already cooked. But whole chickens are 99 cents a pound here right now. If my freezer wasn't already near capacity, I would load up.
I am concerned about food prices and people all over being able to eat this winter. When people are unable to feed themselves or families, crime rates rise.

Sunny, a pool is less expensive to buy, set up and use for the few hot days that you get up there. And your granddaughter would love you. It would force you to relax and just be with her. I am sure one of your biggest prescriptions from your doctor is "relax".

Hi all,
Been here reading off and on but keep dashing off to do stuff.. hubby was off so we went grocery shopping today, bought extra to freeze.. going to try to do that as much as we can- going to hit the farmers mkt this weekend and see what I can get to freeze..had boys this afternoon too.. they played outside for a while but still hot here .. low 90's in the afternoons... but in the 50's at night so it's cooling off nicely at night...
I am planning a trip with my oldest dd to NY/NJ in Sept,, my friend who visited me last yr from Australia is coming there from France on her vaca to celebrate our net friends 50th birthday.. it's a suprise for her she has no idea we all are coming.. only one I have met in real life is Kathryn the others and I have chatted on diff message boards for ever... since 98 or so .. our Mary-El was part of that group too.. I have been talking to the birthday girls hubby to make plans and stuff , it's been intresting to do this long distance... really excited to get to go, never been to NY so we are going to do the tourist stuff and have fun ...

Hubby go the tree in our side yard cut down finally- it was sick and dying , and when he go it down we saw it was infested with ants - it was hollow in part of it from their nests so good thing he got it down before it rotted and hit the fence or house in a wind storm...

Well it's getting to be time to hit my pillows.. I didn't sleep last night much so tired early today.
Nana

I have some worrisome trees to take down too, Nana. But i need equipment like a crane and maybe a man-lift to get to them.
I am heading to bed. Good night all.

Well the big trees may be a pain ladies, but at least you have big trees---I do not, sadly.
Cindy--we are not worried to have you here--I know I can safely say that. You know we are all just getting older, & if we are old our "elders" are even older---I think that is why there is so much death around us--no one is cursed or anything like that--it just happens sometimes.

WE none of us are going anywhere before it is our time to go--well at least that is how I feel about it...

Sunny--I wish you were closer, we have an extra one room A/C unit here at the house--really it belongs to my youngest DD--it was a birthday gift one year--but she obviously is not using it.--

G'nite everyone--Sweet Dreams
