These cats are on a freaking roll tonight. There are lamps, nick nacks, everything off the table...all crashing down around me. They must have both taken some "mean pills" this evening. I just caught my camera before it was knocked off the table. I did NOT need another cat at this time, but Spartacus loves her so much I am glad I didn't get rid of Abby....she's here to stay...(I say as she destroys my house). lol

It should all go well, tomorrow, Cindy. Your lawyer is on your side.
Sweet dreams all. One more school day and that Ted and I can unravel for the weekend.

Light frost this morning...DH lit the wood stove. First fire of the season.

Good morning. Today is the last full day of summer. I have been feeling the shortening days. But our weather is still warm and mellow.

Good orning----I wish everyone a great day--it was supposed to be rainy here but the sun is shining---if it keeps up, I am going to stain the deck tomorrow.

Then DH has in his mind that we should paint the "whole house".
granted it needs it, but it will be quite a job & costly---We were not told that the inside walls were not painted before we moved in. and I distinctly remember the builder saying he left us a 5 gallon can of matching "paint" in the basement.

What he failed to mention was that said paint was jsut a non-washable base coat. Not even a primer..... rolz
Do you know how easy it would have been to come into an "Empty" house & paint?? I am so upset....

ah well, everyone have a great day!!!

old We had a little bit of drizzle this morning. Not enough to moisten the soil, but enough to moisten the foliage a little before the dry lightning storm that is forecast to be passing through tomorrow afternoon. nervous
The fires in eastern Washington are still growing, so lightning isn't welcome at all. NOT GOOD! prayers

Everything is always green on Cedar Hill.

I have had a rough day...more stress than I can go into here.

...and I just accidentally shut Abacat in the refrigerator (luckily I noticed she was missing within 15 seconds)....opened the fridge back up and she was just setting there like it was no big deal. It would have been a major [BLEEP] deal to me if I had not noticed and left her in there all night, and found her dead in the morning. I swear, I am not good at multi-tasking....and 2 cats is "multi-tasking" for a dingbat like me.

Good morning---DH said it is too damp out & I ahve to wait to stain-until after lunch---I guess I shouls have jsut gone out in the 100+ weather & painted, huh???---
when I am awake I am going to read the paint can---I know it haas to b e above 55 for me to paint & that is no problem, but it is getting pretty cold at night & I think it has to be above 55 for so many hours--we shall see---

Right now it is laundry time---well, and coffee time

Good morning. I have decorated eggs out of season. Just because it was fun.
Today Ted and I are driving out to the high desert to visit friends again. And taking a mess of food along. Life is good when I can share.

I work at being happy, Carol. You are a godsend to your family, your mother and your MIL are very blessed to have you.
If I feel like I'm falling into the doldrums, I start listing all of the things I am grateful for and that helps. If something is bugging me, I get up and fix it.
Today I am going to take Teddy to school, stop to shop and get gas. Then I am coming home and fixing some dust around here. I got rid of pounds of it but it keeps creeping back in. Dust bunnies multiply worse than real bunnies. And I'm putting the brush head on my weedeater to attack some tough stuff that got out of hand outdoors.

I am not so much a fan. I hope you had fun to make up for that burn.

I got Ted to school, stopped for a few items and then for fuel. I got my groceries put away and the main part of dinner in the crock pot. I made phone calls that I needed to make. Now I am taking a break before phase 2.

My daughter goes to Nascar races...they go for an entire week-end, do the tailgating stuff and all that. She's tried to get me to go, but I have no interest in anything that involves leaving the house...lol

That must have cost like about $300. Good grief, gas is almost $4 a gallon here...I can only imagine what it is on the west coast.

My (high-speed cable) internet has been off and on (mostly off) all day...again. rolz
I may have to switch to DSL if this keeps up.

Hi all,
I am home, we had a wonderful time in the Big Apple, it's a wonderful place to visit and we enjoyed being tourists and finally seeing friends I had only met on line but there are way to many people in that city for me...! Did get to see Chicago and an Irish Pub... and the WTC memorial- it's so moving and so it the Trinity Church and St Pauls that provided shelter and food for the rescue efforts for months after it- they have wonderful displays in both churches.. as close as both of them are to the disaster they weren't really damaged at all... miracle.
More later and pics when I can download them... good day all!

Actually, I think I am close to one of the only stations where it is still under $4. I paid $3.99 the last few fill ups.
I came home from picking Teddy up from school and ate a little. Then collapsed into a deep nap. It felt good.
