a co worker today got a call from the police ,, His apt had just been robbed,, they took Tv's lap tops, guns, food and including some of his clothes. Neighbors on the floor below him saw it going on and did nothing to stop it out of fear,, REALLY??? Go Inside LOCK the DOOR and call the POLICE,, what is wrong with people, NO COmmon sense!!!!!!
An Elderly woman in the Apt Building Directly across from his( coworker) was just parking her car, and noticed three guys coming out of Nicks apt, Knowing they didn't live there she Locked her car doors and used her cell phone to call the Police,, in the mean time the robbers drove off with Nick's belongings. and the Police took 22 minutes to get there and Police station is 3 blocks from apts,, Sad but True,, Nick didn't have renters Insurance either,, zoink Every One, Be careful,, people are so desperate to get their hands on other peoples things burglaries are taking place in Broad day light and so many people see it happening and wont call police or say they saw anything,, With Christmas right around the corner more of this will happen,, Please Be careful everyone!!!!

It's bad everywhere, I guess because of pills and meth. When I walk around to the back of the house to feed the stray cats I lock my door and carry the keys in my pocket. I've been robbed before.

Several months ago when someone knocked on my door at almost 3am I didn't even look out to see who it was...just got my two .38's, one in each hand...stood in the room where they couldn't see me through the window...and held my breath until they finally left. I have no security system anymore, which disturbs me.

Many years ago I had this friend who had a house in the town where I lived & he worked about 25 minutes away. The house was being robbed. the cops were 5 minutes away from this house---after the cops were called someone called my friend at work. he arranged to leave work, drove home & was at his house WELL before the cops ever showed up.
He figured that the cop had to give the robbers time to get away, so they would not have to confront them. why

and the economy was good back then--I can only imagine now---& yes it is a scary time.

The other day I was listening to the police scanner on my phone in Fort Worth the dispatchers called out three residential burglar alarms in a row all next door to each other police did not get there in time to see or catch anyone.
