I just do not know where to put this, so here goes.
I am at my wits end with moles. HArdly any activity all summer, and I found out it was because of the drought, hardly any.bugs.
WEll this fall it is like a mole race course all over my yard.
And the traps do not work anymore.
I was reading that it is mainly because of grubs.
Now I used a grub killer in the spring, but had hardly any japanese beetles.
Come to find out from local farmers because it was so dry and the ground was too hard, they never emerged.
I have something now with the mole explosion.
I was also reading and had heard on a garden show that Milky spore is the only way to truly get rid of grubs it is harmless to everything except the larvae.
it will stay dormant in soil for many many years.
It is VERY expensive, but with the damage I have it is worth it, besides the grub killers are poison, and do not seem to work all that well
>I am desperate. HAs anyone tried it? And when can it be applied. Too late now?
boohoo

I haven't a clue, Kim. We get occasional moles here but not many. And I have had good luck dropping plain, inexpensive mole pellets into their runs.

You know I am so desperate, I may try the gum. We have never had them this bad, and I have used every gadget and liquid and pellet known.
I am going to try the Milky spore in the spring. It kills the grubs, which apparently the 50 dollar a bad stuff I have been using does not! LOL
So no Grubs, moles go to the woods. I hope. Besides the grubs turn into japanese beetles and we all know what they do. But have to wait till early spring. Thanks for trying guys!

Here is an accepted and natural solution to mole infestations from Japan.
Burrowing moles, voles and rats are a real problem for rice farmers. They dig and then let the water drain from the paddies!
If you have tried everything, you may want to try what the Japanese have been doing for generations.

Check it out here.

Hope this helps wavy
