Good Morning all,

I'm stuck at home because of the flat tire. I suppose I could have begged a ride but I just wasn't up to it. I almost never am.

I love having the christmas decorations up. Now I'm trying to update my cookbook so I know what I have. I really need to organize. It's two 3 inch binders now and I need to get a third binder. Crazy right? I haven't even gotten to 1/10th of these recipes. Well one day I will get organized, of course I will (lol).

Hope the Holiday Seasons is treating you all great.

TK--I just noticed your "Tag" under your name---NOW your comment in another thread makes ever so much more sence now. I think every forum should have one.

Organized---what is that--and yes hope does spring eternal--but I am pretty sure the only place I am organized in is my mind..

TK: I have like 5 or 6 Recipe Binders--some 2 inch some 3 inch--My main one (the one I use most) is a 2 inch & I need to buy a 3 inch binder to replace it with. I have them all fixed up--
First I buy the ones that have clear sleeves on each side of the binder--then I slip in 8 x 11 sheets that I have made on my printer to describe each Cook Book. I have even made pieces that I have slipped down the spines of many of them. I love this--Then I put my recipes in sheet protectors so when I use them, all I have to do is wipe them off if I spill something. I love it !!!

Today MIL has decided to stay home--so I have today ALL to MYSELF !! it is like a day found !! I will make me a list of what needs to be done before Christmas & then work on some of the items today-- YAY ME !!!!

and oh!! it is 72*F outside right now...December you say ?? I think not. uhuhh lol Well, it sure works for me

Organizing is what I am working on today. Cabinets to be exact. Not sure how long my utility room pantry will remain organized because that is Ted's favorite place to rearrange for me. But I didn't overdo the work in there because I know this fact. I mostly just wanted to take stock and pull the older stuff either up front or out to the kitchen.
But am not the most organized person around in general. I began by looking for a garden item and got distracted by the cabinets. I did find the 15 solar path lights I was looking for afterwards. So those are stored with the rest near my emergency supplies. They are about the safest home lighting if the power goes out at night. Or even during the day in my windowless bathroom.
I also made a bunch of bran muffins today. So I am thinking I deserve a nap about now.

Half my recipes are in my head...I really need to write them down so that they can be passed down. Most of them belong to my grandmother.

Freezing rain here..

You should write those down, Sunny.
I am about ready to pop my boy in the bath. Getting ready for school. He may or may not go tomorrow, depending on the weather. If it is pouring rain, it is just best to stick around home. But the rest of the week is supposed to be nice.

I had my dad write down a few recipes of his over the years, as he is gone now, i am so happy I thought to do that. Thne one year for Christmas, Momma gave all 3 of us girls (my sister, my SIL & me) a copy of her dressing recipe. I still have it.

Sorry for the freezing rain. kissie

My snow is all gone...we don't see that too often in December. Bare ground again.

Making meat pies today.

Tina, how do you use solar in a windowless bathroom? Don't they need light?

Yes, they do need light to recharge in daylight, Sheri. But if you have one already charged, you can carry it with you anywhere dark and they work for hours.
Good morning. I slept hard. It looks like Ted and I will be off to school. The rains are mild out there.

If I had seen that menu before I got started eating these muffins, it would have ruined my measly breakfast.
I took Ted to school and stopped to shop at a couple of stores on the way home. I put my cold stuff away and opened the meat I bought and put together 7 pounds of meatloaf. It is baking in 2 loaves in the oven right now. I do still have a few things to bring in from the van and put away. But it isn't frozen or fridge stuff so I waited. Decided to snack before I finished unloading.

Long day. I was on the road at 8am for my rheumatologist appointment 60 miles away. When I got back to London I went to the oncology/hematology place and had my blood checked to see if I needed another phlebotomy...yep. So got that done then HAD to go buy some food...etc.....
I opened all the windows and passed out in the chair for an hour. snooz

Tomorrow skin cancer surgery in the morning then back home to do nothing.

old A 120 ft. tall Hemlock next to the house died a couple years ago, and has had me a little nervous because if it ever fell the wrong way it would probably squoosh me in my sleep.

Last Saturday night, we had a pretty big storm blow through. Sunday morning, I discovered that the top 50 feet came down... luckily going away from the house, completely missing several large Rhododendrons but doing a little damage to some other stuff in the yard. kilroy

Keep safe there, Bill. Trees hanging like a hatchet over your house are scarey things.

I'm trying to figure out which tree that is.

That was pretty cool when you and Don and that other guy took that huge tree down. We got a pretty good video of that! thumbup
