I was wrong. My weather station is still working. I just didn't trust the 30 degree difference from yesterday morning to this morning. It is 57* and rising. My house is pretty nice right about now. My dehydrating is done. Now I'm looking around for what I want to dry next.

I am ready for this stoopid snow to go away... I'm ready for spring! We are supposed to get 4 inches of snow tomorrow night...and I have a darn surgeon appointment Friday. Long day today at the hematology clinic. Been researching since I got home trying to figure out how mg of iron is in the "daily requirement" info on a food label. The label on a can of tuna says it has 4% of your minimum daily requirement of iron...but it doesn't tell you how many mg that is. I'm not even supposed to eat ONE mg of iron a day...doctor said to keep iron intake under 1mg. EVERYTHING you buy is fortified with iron and calcium, etc. One slice of bread is 4% min daily requirement of iron. Just saying, I didn't do too well in math. I should have listened to my algebra teacher when he gave me that lecture about how "you don't think you need math, but when you grow up you will". And I have been craving spinach so bad I dreamed about spinach the other night...then bought 2 bags of spinach yesterday so I could splurge on iron just ONE time. What to do, what to do. I am thinking seriously about eating it, since they got over 2 pints of blood today I should be safe.

John had iron overload from all of the transfusions he had. He had 2 choices to remove it before it killed him. One was something like 8 hours a day in a chair while they took his blood and 'washed' the iron out. That was 5-6 days a week. And the other was a new med that is very pricey, about $4000 a month. He went with the medicine. We had to pay for the first month of that every year before the insurance kicked in for the rest. It is called Exjade. Keep safe, Cindy. Sweet dreams all. Wind is blasting out there but it is so much warmer than it has been. I'll take it.

Good Morning friends. I actually slept in this morning. 7:45. And believe me that is late for me. >I usually am up by 6 or sometimes earlier. Stayed up reading and I guess I needed it. A dusting of snow last night, and 29 degrees here, but 29 is far better that 17 yesterday morning. Have a great day all.

Good Morning everyone!! 36*F here---they say it will go up to 38, with it getting warmer the next 2 days then back down again on Sunday. It is only 28° here but that is not a problem. The problem is that my bedroom TV died last night! Life may never be the same, again!

Bill. Cold here as well..these extreme chill snaps are awful. Minus 27*F and getting colder, I can hear the rafters popping in the roof. No wonder our drywall is a mess. Cindy, you better be good about the iron levels. My husband was told not to eat anything over a 6% iron level...and to keep his iron at 30% a day..that's fine if you are eating foods with labels and can count the amounts but everything is fortified also. It's a no-win situation.

Oh Bill. That's a fate worse than death because I'm sure heaven has lots of big screen TVs. Luckily, I discovered a bottle of tequila, which gave me the courage to reach through the dense thicket of spider webs required to tighten the wire up, which thankfully fixed my TV in the bedroom. Life is good, and I will be able to sleep once again!

Oh jeepers dodge. I'll pray for you. We're expecting a little snow tonight but it's been raining so long and so hard it won't stick. Will shut us down because we're all chickens about snow, but it won't stick.

Snow does feel good when it quits. I have wind, really heavy winds. But it is a warm wind so we will survive it.

Now now Bill, I have never had a TV in my bedroom. I would never sleep! Bill, if it were up to me, I would definately have a TV in the bedroom. But my DH does NOT want one in there, which is just as well, as he goes to sleep with the chcikens. Luckily there IS one in here where we have the computer and 2 twin beds. And as I sleep here when I am ill, it is just as well that this is where the TV is. AND...Good Luck with the new TV shopping, Bill. Going shopping tomorrow with my sister.
