I too have gone down in size of purses.. I now carry a clutch purse, when I go to the store I just like to take my money and ID in my pocket. My grandsons used to call my purse the suit case lol

If I carried a clutch purse I would set it down in the produce section of the grocery store and walk off and leave it laying there. I can only carry a purse that has a long shoulder strap to criss-cross my body...so I won't leave it anywhere. Rach got me one of those expensive purses everyone wants, about 6 years ago, that had handles. Me and Brennan stopped at a dollar store on the way home from school. I put the purse in the back of my truck as I was loading the bags in, forgot the purse. When I got home everything that could possibly fly out of it was gone...all my money...everything...gone. boohoo

Good morning. It is a 3 day weekend but I keep having that strong urge to get ready for the school week like a normal Sunday. So I will. All of the laundry is done, folded and put away. I will scrape together some floor rugs and things to do an additional load today. And I want to go outside and plant things. I need to rake up all of the wind strewn litter first.

Tina, what are you going to plant? My daffodils are getting ready to bloom and I've got iris's blooming. Not supposed to happen in January. We may not have any flowers come spring.

A while back I downsized by purse to a hand held thing that held my debit card but then unless I had pockets I didn't have anywhere to put my keys and sunglasses. So I changed to a clutch, which like Cindy, I kept leaving places. So now I'm back to a purse. My mom gave me a Coach purse for Christmas and I'm carrying it. I would never, ever buy such an expensive purse, but I like having more room than a clutch.

I am planting potatoes, onions and leafy green things. I only have so much sunshine available and have to pick and choose what I plant and where. It is still cool weather crop time here.

My Hyacinths are just poking thru--but they are up against teh house and are facing east---so I think they will be ok--the dwarf iris, crocus & daffs are covered with leaves, so they should be ok yet as well--

There will be no planting here until say the end of march at the very earliest--probably later.....

We were at my DD's house this weekend--& we are home now---

Kim, it is possible because this is Illinois. One day it is 50*F the next it is 17*F and back and forth. The plants & such do not know what to think or do, so sometimes they begin to poke out like it is spring. I am jsut lucky that my bulbs are close to the house which will afford "some" protection. Many have theirs that are out in the open come up & be frozen out.

Thanks Sunny, I had a nice time with her...I really have to be strong when her DH's family comes by & I know that they will be living 5 minutes away from them here in a few months.

I didn't wake up until 9:45 this morning. I haven't done that in I can't remember how long. Years and years and years. I did have one coughing spell in the night that kept me up a while. Guess it wore me out.

I wish I felt like going somewhere. Not sure where I'd go but wish I felt like it anyway.

I wish you had your energy back as well, Sheri.
I am glad you had a good time with your family, Carol.
I have a new to me recipe coming out of the oven soon. Baked oatmeal cake. It sounds wonderful. It looks good. If it is as good as it looks I will make more for the freezer. I can eat oatmeal all year long. But I don't really like to eat it hot in the summer.

It's cold here too Cindy Lou Roscoe Faye and it's supposed to remain as such for the next week. It's windy too which I don't like. I feel better in the cold but not in the wind.

Sunny, I've been crazy for a long time but you're welcome to ride the crazy train with me.

Carol.. Sorry! :( I>>Ts funny that the news people make a big deal out of colder temps. a few years ago actually more like 15 I think it was97, it went for 2 weeks where the temps never got about 12 or 13. It was AWFUL and lows were around 7 below. And how can we complain, Can you imagine living in Alaska or Northern Canada in the winter?? 25 below is considered warm. nervous

I probably should buy a ticket to ride on your crazy train, Sheri--I assume there is room ???

Going to ceramics today and then to take my youngest some chicken soup--she is sick now. I offered to come and take care of the baby, but she is afraid that I have the cold her sister had when I was with her this weekend. So I will jsut take her soup & some fruit.

VERY cold here (14*F) but that is not as cold as Sunny has it. so I guess I should be happy, huh??? Kim you are right--I remember HAVING to wear a lot of heavy clothing and coats ALL winter, once upon a time, but now some days yes, some days no.

Cindy, NO you can NOT drive but you can find Carole a seat.

I had a terrible night coughing and I'm still coughing. My daughter in Georgia called me this morning and she's in the bed sick now. If I weren't half dead I'd go take care of her.

I hope ALL your daughters get well quickly too.

I think it's up to 9 degrees here now...Just went out to put more food and water out for the birds...seems like water freezes before I can get it in the bird bath. 8" of snow forecast for Friday. I want to move somewhere warm. We never had this problem in the winter when I lived in Cuba.....

It has warmed up to 33° today and it is supposed to rain tonight. Unfortunately the ground is covered with a couple inches of solid so it will take a few days for it to go away... only trouble is that there is more snow forecast for the coming days.
