They let some people go home tonit and we can't smell smoke anymore so that's a big improvement- it got to 40 acres they said ... hoping that it dies down now with nightfall and less wind... praying for the people in Cali too... and OK...

Wonderful news... fire is contained and hopefully it will be out later today.. supposed to rain maybe so that will help if it doesn't thunder and lighting too.. prayers are being answered!

Need some prayers here, friends. I am typing this by looking at the screen and keyboard through a magnifying glass. Rachel is coming tomorrow and I don't want her to see how my eyes are swelled almost closed. She will freak totally out and I need just 2 days of good eyes. Will explain this later...the eye thing.

Oh Cindy, I am so very sorry to hear this. Rachel loves you and she will make sure her Mommy is taken care of, and of that I am sure. She loves you more than anything and now is a perfect time for her to come. I think her being with you will be comforting. :ding:

I agree with Carol and Diane - your daughter is there for you no matter what. Of course we want our children to see us at our best, but there are times when we need to let them be our caregivers as well. Let her do that for you, Cindy.

I will be keeping you in my thoughts and hoping her visit is very good for both of you.

I sent a few of you a picture, so you see it's not just my eyes. The person in that picture doesn't even look like me! This disease is really doing a number on me...I can't hold my eyes open for very long, and to the point where most of the time I have to get someone else to drive me places.

I have tried several different drugs.
Tried Imuran twice, and had to call an ambulance both times.
The last drug I have tried (plaquenil) made my heart rate stay at 135...and with the polycythemia (bone marrow disease that makes too much blood) that was a stroke looking for a place to happen...so I stopped taking it.

The auto-immune disease is attacking all my moisture-producing glands...and I have no moisture in my mouth and eyes. Today when Rachel left I cried (my doctor told me that "crying tears" were bad tears for me). It hurt so bad when I cried and those "bad tears" came out. Felt like I was being stabbed in the eyes with a knife.

It really freaks me out that I have been diagnosed with so many rare diseases since what happened to me in Washington. I felt so good and was so active before that. Now I am disabled and I sometimes have to use a walker or cane when I am out. But, I thank God every day that I am still alive and able to take care of myself and my babies. Nobody lives forever, and I figure every day that I have lived since the coma is a gift from God.

And I thank you all for remembering me in your prayers.

Yu have the opposite of what my brother has..He makes the red blood an something kills it .
Blood count is 1 not 4.....Just got blood last week an platelets . What ever that is>. He is on this for about 2.5 years. Gets very week. They trie Chemo on him . Helps a little.

Like you we pray daily for him.....Really sorry cindy.

Dodge...I wish I could donate blood for people like your brother, but they have to throw mine away.

Diane and Junie...you have seen the picture of me...how I look right now. I don't look like "me" anymore. I look like a monster. I'm ashamed to go out in public.

Prayers and thoughts for the families of 15 firefighters in AZ. A terrible tragedy as fire was ignited with lightening in Yarnell Az. I heard different reports of the count of Firefighters lost, some news said 19 men lost.
