Weather has warmed up a bit here, still never cleaned up yesterday's storm out there. I can't wait for February to be over.

Long day...left for Lexington doctor at 7:30...in the rain. Soon as I got to Lexington it started snowing. Had to drive to 4 offices all spread around Lexington. I am killed and ready for a nap as soon as I get Lola and the cats fed (cats are waiting on fish to thaw).

Sorry for the horrid weather, Cindy. So glad to know that you have made it home safely. Enjoy your nap !!!

I am glad you are home safe too, Cindy.
It is sunny and heading towards mid 60's here today. Or it could be stuck at 63*. I got my kid to and from school today with shopping and business trip sandwiched between. I will be napping as soon as I grab a bite to eat.

got off work today and had to make 48 cupcakes for a school fundraiser, and cornbread salad and baked beans for a bbq at work tomorrow,, still have a couple of dozen cupcakes to go, so long day for me too since I got up @ 5 am it's 8 pm and I'm still 'Do'n ' I for sure will sleep good tonight!

Gosh, you all sound like you have busy lives doing daily things, and all I ever get to do is go to the doctor. It's about time for a good game of Backgammon with BigBadDad...gonna try to stop there tomorrow after my doctor appointment.

I did do something different this week...called people on a list to remind them of the spay/neuter clinic Saturday they had signed up for, gave them instructions on not feeding pet after 10pm, the whole nine yards. Pretty sad when one I talked to yesterday confirmed she would be there. Today when I was in the waiting room at the doctor she called and said she wouldn't be there...because her dog got hit by a car last night and died. My cousin Leslie's landlord had paid her fees for 2 stray kittens that came to her apartment a few months ago. The day after he paid one of them got killed by a car. I am going to the clinic Saturday to maybe do something...I can't do much but I want to volunteer for anything they have that I can handle. They have this clinic about every 6 months...I am having 3 feral cats "fixed" and all their shots for $70 total. Neighbor and I have been feeding them, there are 4 but we can only catch 3.

Cheryl...bad bad bad stove stuff. It happens here quite often and I never get used to it. I turned the wrong burner on awhile back that had a plastic plate on it...well, you can only imagine the mess of trying to clean melted plastic off a stove burner. Not to mention I was freaked because I thought the fumes would kill Lola.

Sorry this was so long...I'll stop now.

happy v-day all, not feeling too good today, sinus driving me nuts

Busy morning. It is very nice to feel like I am getting something done. And each small chore is not exhausting. Although I am sure I will be napping and other normal things.

Busy morning for me as well--I had lots of baking, cooking and cleaning plans lined up but alas I think I am coming down with a cold---my nose i s running like a sieve--but I do not feel all that bad...yet....

Going to jump in the tub & then go check on my MIL--then the only other thing I will do is cook supper---

I so wish I could take cold medications----

I was thinking of going to pick my son up from school a little early. Then realized he would miss part of his Valentine party. I guess I will be heading out and meandering in a store until I can get him legitimately. If I sit here, I may go to sleep.

That was my problem before I even left at 9:30 this morning for my dr appointment. I got up at 6:30 and by 8:30 I was ready for a nap.



Me, too....I talked to my pharmacist today and he said no way, with the high blood pressure because of the polycythemia. Last time I went to get a blood-letting my BP was 178/114. I don't need anything else to add to the mix.

I did get an hour nap in after I got back from the doctor then grocery shopping...was too tired to go to mom and dad's...hopefully will make it tomorrow.

I napped after I brought Ted home from school. But I am drooping already again before 6:30. I know I will be in bed early tonight.

I got my Restaril filled today...I will be able to sleep GOOD tonight...can't wait to take it and go to the chair. These doctor appointments have worn me out...all I want to do is sleep. I wish they would just put a spout in my arm I could turn on and get rid of this excess blood without having to go to the hematology place constantly and let them do it. I could just get up, make coffee...while the coffee is brewing I could go over to the sink and get rid of a pint of blood and then I might feel like DOING something.

I have the hiccoughs. I hate having hiccoughs... Damnit!

Get some leaches!

Stand on your head and drink water so it runs over the roof of your mouth....it works.

Good morning. It is supposed to get very warm here again. I am looking forward to it.
We are to storm early next week and then send that east. That could become a blizzard in the upper midwest and east. And a tornadic cell for the south. Keep an eye out neighbors.

It's supposed to be 63° today. But tomorrow we're having snow flurries. I've already got on my snow boots and I'm standing at the back door with a bowl ready to make snow cream. I might have to try and catch the flurries in my bowl.

I got my first check with the raise on it today,, WOW it was more than I expected,, I asked my boss was it a mistake? he laughed and said Nope, you've earned all of it ,,, but don't ask for another raise for a couple of years I said that's fine but in two years I'm gonna be in your face to get this much again,,

We are supposed to get close to 2 feet of snow here over the next 4 days.

Good morning. I was without internet and phone most of yesterday. Constuction down the road cut our line. We were also without electricity in the night. But I woke and it looks like it is repaired now. That makes me happy!

Tina...when you were out of electricity how many times did you walk into a room and turn the lightswitch on? That's what I do a bazillion times when the electric is out...I never can get the hang of remembering the lights don't work when there's no electric.

Yea, Cindy--I do that as well---it is crazy what some people do huh??

I need to leave soon to drive to get my watch--if I dont go soon they will keep it---and that would not be a good thing---

it is very cold out today---in the low 20's with wind chills far lower than that---so I will wait until it warms up a bit I think...

Drinking coffee now...

I was...til I ran out of half and half. I have some of that coffee creamer powder stuff, but I hate it.

I forgot to put the Ensure in the refrigerator last night, so I am getting it cold in a bowl of ice water. I can't drink that stuff unless it's really cold.

I am using half & half also. I bought some for a new icing recipe--so I get the leftovers.

I have some of the powdered creamer--but I esp like the flavored ones---my favorite is a "Cinnamon Vanilla Creme". It is usually seasonal (around xmas) but I bought several containers of it...and then I like the French vanilla....

Did anyone else notice that several people are missing their Avatars (at least I think that is what they are called??)
