A long busy day today. It is just past 7 and I can hardly wait to go to bed. My beans are on top of the wood stove to cook through the night.

I'm going to take my pill soon and try to sleep. Had a rough day today, went for my blood-letting and my BP and excess blood was so high when they took the needle out after they took a pint and a half it kept bleeding...spurting blood all over the place. Looked like someone had been murdered. Took forever for them to get it under control so I could leave, but then went to visit mom and dad for awhile and came home and took a nap.

"The Green Mile" is on and I have to keep leaving the room when it gets to a crying part....like right now.

The Green Mile is such a good movie. I've watched it a bunch of times but don't recall crying parts.

Cindy, can your blood be donated.

Yes, dodge, I have a bone marrow disease (polycythemia) that makes too much blood. I have to get blood taken out about every week.

And, no, I can't donate the blood.....wish I could.

Good morning. Sounds like fun, Carol. I am sorry that it is on your ceramics day though.
The Green Mile makes me cry too, Cindy. Every time.
Rain today and, maybe, snow tomorrow.

Help me!!! What are you guys crying about on the Green Mile? I love the movie, the acting is great. It's sad the big guy is innocent of the crime for which he is executed but I can't find a place to cry. Maybe Johnny is right and I do need to go see the Wizard of Oz and get a heart.

I cry several times during the movie...when I think the little mouse is dead, then the guy brings it back to life, thank God. I cry way bad at the end...so I didn't even watch the end last night.

Do you cry when you watch "ET"?

I am with you Cindy.. love the green mile and I cry even when I read the book... movie really gets me.... and yes I cry for ET too... but Hallmark commercials get me too...LOL!

It's been a while since I posted... been battleing my usual winter depresssion- even though this one hasn't been quite so bad... not as much snow and cold till lately... cold today and snow is coming again this week... it's not to dark and cloudy yet so that is a good thing... it's 29* right now...

Well off to get my breakfast started for us... late today- slept in .. easier to do when I am up half the night not sleeping well... Joe is off today so we may go somewhere ... just to get out of the house....

Have a good day all!
Nana

I hope you don't get snowed in, Nana. Good to get out today while you can.
We are expecting snow tonight. Then I am sending the storm eastward. I keep warning everyone that this one is ugly.
I am expecting to keep my son home from school tomorrow. It isn't the snow or road conditions. It is the other people on the roads looking for ways around closures. If it is heavy snow they close the pass above me and there are crazy people looking for a way around. There is no way around. But they keep trying.
It is a good day here so far. I have several days of wood inside and more right outside the door, covered. I attached a squeegee to my satellite dish to clean off snow if it gets coated again. Ready for the fun. I wouldn't bother if I could get radio signals here. But tucked away in my valley, it is difficult.
I think we are ready. I'll leave to pick up my son from school in a bit.

I've only watched ET once and then I've watched it in bits and pieces but no crying. Have you ever seen Terms of Endearment? It's an old, old chick flick and all the chicks with me were crying but not me. And Cindy Lou Roscoe, I would NEVER cry over a dead mouse in that I've murdered many myself. I did cry like a girl when my dog, Porter, died 2 years ago and I really teared up when Johnny's brother was killed in October.

Nana, sorry you're having the blues. You're so busy I don't know how you find a minute to even know that you're feeling blue.

Tina, way smart about the squeegee.

oh Sheri,, I didn't know Porter died,, How sad tears
I don't cry over a movie, or show,, I suppose because I know it's just a movie or show, lol and I'm not much of a crier anyway unless it's a family or close friend death,or serious illness. on the other hand I DO shed tears of Joy, heartwarming things that brings me overwhelming joy, like when I went to Washington. Bill had just pulled out of Bubba's where we had dinner, and pointed up towards the sky. The view of the mountains and the way the sun was just settling down for the evening behind them was just Beautiful and I teared up in AWE of the view clap .

I have a couple of the cups and the calendar. I know I have the postcard somewhere too.
I have been working on getting rid of a lot of the junk around here for the last 3-4 years. My husband helped by giving away a lot of his tools before he died, welders, compressors and things he figured I wouldn't use.
A neighbor is moving and my older son and daughter are over there helping him. They keep bringing home stuff. I guess I raised a family of hoarders.
Actually, they are looking at the worth of the stuff for selling or gifting to needy friends. I live on a hillside and do not need a self-propelled mower (new), etc. But we will find homes for what we don't want or need. But I will keep the weedeaters and other tools. Never have enough.

Because of my hoarding Rachel turned out totally opposite. She is a minimalist. Walking into her house is like walking into a "model home" in a magazine. She doesn't even have pictures on her walls...and you can eat off her floors. Drives me nuts....(not a far drive....)
