It's Sunday---and Sunday night is Pizza night !!! We usually do Pizza Night on Tuesdays as Domino's has a "Two Times Tuesday" deal where I end up getting 2 pizza's for $20 vs one for $20 lol...

We went to this Mexican place here in Lincoln City, OR; quite possibly some of the most disgusting food that I've ever eaten... I don't see how someone could screw up enchiladas, gorditas, soft tacos, even Spanish rice and refried beans lol...

Tonight it is baked chicken thighs (my favorite part) and home made tater wedges and fruit salad. I don't use my oven in the hot months and I am feeling them creeping up on me.

Steaks on the grill! Yum. My neighbor was showing me her new calf today. She has 4 cows that her sons show. All I could think of was; I wonder if cattle thieving is still a hanging offense...?

Since I have been in the chair off and on all day (trying to SLEEP!) I just had a late supper. Opened a can of salmon, dumped it in a plate, and shared it with Spartacus and Abacat.

I need the Omega 3 in oily fish for my heart. BUT I now take a omega suppliment, but really to eat the fish would be extra good---I like it in patties best. I used to buy the wild cutlets, but I can't get past the skin--(yuck)

I should eat more fish. I just don't want to take the time to prepare it. My dinners have been simple things lately. Lots of leftovers and previously frozen foods cooked up.

Your killin me! My favorite meal ever!! Corned Beef and Cabbage, and of course carrots and potatos. Dont forget the horseradish, right? Maybe you can tell me why, when I made my own horseradish a couple of yrs. ago, it wasnt hot. Not even warm. No bite. Making it nearly put me in the hospital tho... I can't seem to find a good hot horseradish here.

I think the salt from the brine that the corned beef was marinated might have had a hand in cutting out the bite from the horseradish... I was out of potatoes so no potatoes this time, but I ate like a king... Which was good, I finally have my appetite back lol... And yes, one of my favorite meals; we had some last Thursday at a potluck and I decided that i was going to just follow my recipe since theirs didn't quite pass the mustard... Though roasting vs slow cooker I'll usually lean to the slow cooker...

I boil mine, and we only have it for Christmas supper. Too expensive for our pockets. I have a Venison cookbook that has a recipe to "corn" venison the same way you would a beef brisket. The only thing is, a lot of the flavor comes from the fat of the beef, and their is no fat on the deer. Might try it sometime tho.
