sounds good to me--but Rod is not the type to ask for help----not sure as to why----Our youngest even offered to help & he sorta turned her down :(

I myself think it sounds like a good time AND you get things done as well....

it was a good productive day,, Got house work and yard work pretty much done, slow smoked a pork shoulder,( took 6 hours) made coleslaw, and banana puddin' gave the dogs a bath, watched a movie, all baths are done & clothes ready for tomorrow. Perfect weather for spring, OH and got all houseplants outside and they got their first good "feeding" for the season and all is happy!
This week is supposed to be in the 80's day, 50's at night,, Looks like spring is here to stay. I'd better enjoy these next couple of weeks of great weather, summer temps come quick once it stays above 50 at night.
Now I can relax and watch Celebrity Apprentice then I'll go to bed. wavy

Good evening everyone. Pretty good day here. Went in to work for a while, rode the stationary bike for 30 minutes this morning, did a weights workout this afternoon, cooked dinner, worked more on my story, read some of my book, and now I just want to wind down and start getting ready for bed. The girls had their life guarding test today. Ashley passed by one and Amanda failed by one. Bummer for her. She found out she has cavities too so she's not had a very happy last few days. Ashley, however, is now officially a lifeguard. She's going to start applying at the public pools nearby. Joey and his dad re-did his room this weekend. Looks great and has uber cool mood lighting. He's really happy. I'm just hanging in there. Changing meds again (fun, not), still healing my sprain. I noticed today that something still shifts around in there. Proof the ligament is still stretched and loose. It is getting better, just takes a very long time as some of you know. Someday I'll be back to running.

Good morning.

Hope you feel better soon Cheryl, changing meds is as tough as the sprain.

I am so jealous that Diane's grandson is mowing the lawn already lol but I am glad that she sent me some sun.

It has stormed here for three days straight with a break in the weather today..supposed to even get above the freezing point, which would be nice. I can't wait for this snow to melt.

Good Morning...

We have snow this morning and supposed to for the next couple days.... and of course it is cold too... I keep repeating we need the moisture but not working to well.... before it was covered in white our grass was really green... they say we may get up to 6 inches by Tues evening...

I am going to take apart my laundry room today and clean behind and under washer and dryer... do the floor ... that will be my project for today... not a big room but probably gets the messiest... kind of a catchall...

Well off to get my breakfast and see what else I can get up to///
Have a good day all... Happy Monday!

No snow here but we do have very welcome rain. We are supposed to be stretching towards 90 by next weekend.
I got Ted to school and picked up my older son with a friend of his that needed to go to court this morning. I did that and stopped to shop on the way home. I Have beef in the crock with onions, mushrooms and veggies for our dinner. I will bake a couple of sweet potatoes for the side.
I had an electrician in to look at a couple of tricky light fixtures for me. I have replacement fixtures, still in boxes, but do not need them yet. I went back out and banked and picked up the court guys and dropped them where they needed to be and brought Ted on home.
I think a nap is in order for now.

Living so close to Dallas sometimes I feel Dallas is a Huge target Makes me nervous to just think about it. nervous prayers

Very sad for all concerned. Shakes our sense of security once again. 1/2 million people in attendance, 20,000 runners.
What is wrong with this world?
WHY???

And here we sit waiting to see what North Korea is going to do with their nuclear bombs. What a world...

Good Morning,

I have some good news .... to us anyway.. Derek went to school yesterday! and spent most of the day there... he didn't go till 10 but then he spent the whole day there... did well with it and is going again today.. late again but he wants to go... this is such a big accomplishment for him!

We have about 8 inches of snow this morning,, everything is white again out there , and it is cold about28*... do have to go to grocery store at some point today... out of fresh stuff and milk... well off to make some breakfast for hubby and me....

The mountains have gotten so much more snow the ski runs are staying open another week .. they were to close after Sun... makes the skiers happy... they do say we are going to get more snow today .. up to3 more inches.... we need it but boy ... I want spring!

I have watched your weather, Nana. It is certainly heavy for such a late season storm.
I am cooking and preserving today. Good stuff. It feels so good to have a house full of food. And more in the garden.

I am dehydrating apples that someone gave me off their trees. I am baking the rest of the sweet potatoes I bought. Although I should have tried dehydrating one of those. They are supposed to be pretty good too. I am baking 'fried' chicken tenders for my younger son and I will eat up the last of the beef and veggies tonight.

Hi again,

Gee thanks Sunny for the snow.... we are to get more tonit.... guess we need it but it is sure making my sump pump run a lot... we must be saturated... wish we could keep it all for this summer.... they said it would have to snow over 4 ft in the mtns to affect water rationing this summer... in the right place of course...

We are eating stew tonit out of the fridge, or at least Hubby is... I am trying to get my system back to some kind of normal... eating plain for a while... nothing seem to agree with me lately...
I will put rest of it in the freezer tomorrow... hoping the boys all go to school tomorrow, Derek and Nicoli stayed home today... but tomorrow is another day for them... their homeschool teacher is out this week- her mother passed away so she has to take care of that stuff... but they are going work from school that gets sent home so they won't get more behind I hope...

Well off to see what I can get into... been reading a lot since it got so cold... The Outlander series... rereading it cause she has a new one coming out soon...

Have a good evening all!

Morning,

Well I was going to be off soon to take Derek to school.. Carrie called and said she has a migraine and Derek evidently picked up a tummy bug from school and is puking- worse thing in the world for him.... it gives him so much anxiety ... she sent Joseph over to pick up crackers, soup and Gatorade for him... I feel so bad for him.... I am hoping he gets over it soon and he realizes it goes away..... she is staying home with him.. he won't let her out of his room....

We are getting our second wave of the cold and snow... really cold outside... and the snow is coming it is so dark right now...

Well off to find something to do.... may go take a nap....

Nana

Sorry about the snow Nana..our storm for tomorrow is debating if it will change to rain. Hope it does. The weather is hovering above freezing point at the moment.

Got a call that Scarlet Fever is going around here...nothing like it was many years ago thanks to immunizations. My aunt had it as a child, left her with brain damage and blindness.

Good late morning. I did sleep in. I stayed up pretty late last night.

John died 4 years ago next month. He was diagnosed 2 years before that and didn't get a lot done. Even before his diagnosis, he had slowed down. There were plans for the house and space that were put off.
I spent the first year or two after his death just getting most of the outdoors cleaned up and safer from wild fires. The last couple of years was maintaining that labor and adding a lot of cleaning, sorting, tossing of a couple of lifetimes of clutter.
This is the year for working on the structure of the house itself. And still trying to maintain what has been done. I am enjoying it all but it takes time, energy and money. I have friends willing to help but I do not want to burn up those friendships by being too demanding.
Life is good when you are busy with things to look forward to.
