I was wondering who to blame.. lol.

On a semi related note (to pollen), my allergies haven't been acting up as much as they usually have. I read an article not long ago that mentioned that Greek Yogurt can aid in allergy prevention; which I found pretty interesting considering we've been eating a lot more of it in the last two years...

Well, it specifically stated Greek Yogurt...

Quoting Greek Yogurt Vs. Regular Yogurt: Which Is More Healthful?:
Quote
Both Greek and regular yogurt, in their plain, nonfat or low-fat forms, can be part of a healthful diet. They're low in calories and packed with calcium and live bacterial cultures. But our Mediterranean friend—which is strained extensively to remove much of the liquid whey, lactose, and sugar, giving it its thick consistency—does have an undeniable edge. In roughly the same amount of calories, it can pack up to double the protein, while cutting sugar content by half. Those are "two things dietitians love," says Dawn Jackson Blatner, a registered dietitian and author of The Flexitarian Diet. "For someone who wants the creamier texture, a little bit of a protein edge, and a sugar decrease, going Greek is definitely not all hype." And it's really got a following: In the past five years, Greek yogurt sales nationwide have skyrocketed, likely because it satisfies consumers' needs for health, convenience, and taste, according to Nielsen, a global marketing and advertising research company.

Protein. Greek yogurt is high in protein, which helps promote fullness. A typical 6-ounce serving contains 15 to 20 grams, the amount in 2 to 3 ounces of lean meat. That makes it particularly appealing to vegetarians, who sometimes struggle to get enough of the nutrient. An identical serving of regular yogurt, on the other hand, provides just 9 grams, meaning you may feel hunger pangs sooner.

Carbohydrates. Going Greek is a smart choice for low-carb dieters. It contains roughly half the carbs as the regular kind—5 to 8 grams per serving compared with 13 to 17. Plus, the straining process removes some of the milk sugar, lactose, making Greek yogurt less likely to upset the lactose-intolerant. Remember, however, that "both types of yogurt can contain high amounts of carbs if they're sweetened with sugar or another sweetening agent," says Kari Hartel, a Missouri-based registered dietitian. "No matter which type you choose, opt for yogurt with less added sugar.'

It goes on about calcium, sodium, etc.

I hope your sewing session went well, Carol. I really dislike most hand sewing projects.
Busy days cleaning up my yard. Still collecting litter from the roofing work that was done a week and a half ago. And it has been tracked indoors too. So I really want rid of it. I'm not putting that into the greenwaste dump although there is quite a bit that is able to compost. There are too many bits and pieces of roofing material in there to really sort it. Dumpster it was.
I got new bedding washed and on the beds. I love fresh high count cotton sheets. Cool to sleep on as the weather warms. But I am tuckered out. I will be in bed around 9 on a Saturday night.

Well, it did not go so well----the dress is really about 2 or 3 sizes too big....I will need to hem it about 6 inches. But is is jsut for a play so if I can pull it off it should be ok...

I LOVE high thread cound sheets....the one set I have I cannot find the thread count of.--it is wonderful and it is better than 600, as I have a set of those.----some day I will go to a department store & see if I can find out the thread count by feeling the sheets.

G'nite--everyone sweet dreams.

no they dont drive they'd like to tho lol, the oldest one has a bunch of homework, he worked 4 hours on one subject yesterday and started on another subject, He takes advanced placement classes so his classes required a lot more intense homework plus online classes, so I take over his chores while he does his homework. The Middle one helps me with everything all the time, so I hate to put more chores on him, and the youngest does good just to brush his teeth right lol , but I'm working on chores for him age appropriate thumbupHis Birthday is May 1st Wednesday he'll be 7! WOw I can't believe I got him when he was 4. shock

the oldest one watches them,, They are pretty good with each other,, I plan their lunches and snack while I'm at work, and they have a list of chores to do first then Lunch, then reading, each have a book report 2 for each summer, and review math and science( I have work books they have to complete), so weekends we can swim, go to the mall, provided there wasn't a problem thru out the week.
Also They can pack a picnic lunch and go to the park (2 blocks away), they feed ducks, walk the nature trail, they have cell phones so I call them thru out the day, it's all good, Last summer went great!

Good Morning ....
It's a beautiful day here today... was 80* yesterday! Love it! and tomorrow it might snow.... but most likely rain... that I can handle.....it's so nice to be able to open up the house though... really love that...

I cleaned out my office some yesterday... have boxes of paperbacks I guess I will donate to library... and did my budget for next month... paid some bills too.. Joe worked on yard cleanup... sprayed weeds... sure have a lot of them ... he had to go to work today after 9 days off.. didn't like it much... we are going to talk to our financial guy and see how long it will be before we can retire ... sure hope it's sooner than later..

Well off to get my breakfast and shower.. will have to go get Derek this morning and take him to school at 2 if he decides not to go to reg classes, he hasn't slept much lately so he probably won't go all day... they have a school carnival on Friday so maybe we can get him to do that...

Well off to eat... have a good day all...
Nana

I spent the day driving people here and there and then picking most of them up again. I am bushed. I'd rather garden. Nap time.

I don't get anything when it won't load just a circle that goes round and round and round,,

and Thanks Sunny kissie

I went to Toy R US and had intended to only spend 100$ after all was said and done it was twice that for gifts for Julian.
The prices are outrages and some said it was 40% off shock
80% of the gifts I got was educational but fun the rest for a grab bag of little stuff. His Bedroom is going to end up looking like a galaxy of stars, with a moon that changes like the real moon, constellations, that are named, that he can make show up or not,, cloudy or clear night , milky way, etc, it's gonna be so cool I'm gonna want to sleep in there LOL
Oh and of course I had to get him a Knights Shield and sword, He says his name is going to be Knight Jules from the Wingrove Kingdom , and wants to be "Knighted" on his Birthday lol

Feel better soon Diane....running errands for others wears me out Tina, hope you get to garden today.

I have a few daffodils in the back trying to bloom...the snow melts there the earliest. Nice to see finally.

I probably will not get into the yard much today. I woke over an hour early this morning. I will drop my van to get an oil change and shop Home Depot while I wait for it.
I know I will be napping this afternoon. At least the basics of dinner are completed already.
