Good Morning,, back at it again,, it's gonna be another hot day. I'm going to take a cold lunch,, and stay inside on lunch break, it's too hot to sit in the car, and to expensive it sit in it with the AC going, Guess I'll watch UTUBE on my cell phone to pass my lunch time away.

Dry here but we may have storms today--temps to be in the mid 90's as well. I was going to buy the last of my needed flowers today after my Dentist's appt. but with the temps being so high, I think indoor chores will be what I do today. IT is to be significantly cooler tomorrow, so I think that wil be a good time to do the plant buying & planting.

Well, off to get ready for my dentist's appt. talk to you all later.

The fires here are getting really scary... 5 of them burning all over the state... just so dry here...

I have seen your fires on the news, Nana. I wondered how close to you that they were. Keep safe.

Well Tina they aren't close.. we smell smoke every once in a while- depends on winds... there is one in Estes and we just called to see if it's smokey up there .. he said not today it's on the other side of the divide from them so we are still going up on Sat... hate to lose our money on it but if it's to smokey we won't be able to breath... we will see...

Pack for a quick retreat in case you have to evacuate.
I am working on making fires not feel so at home here around my house. Trying to give firefighters some space to work with if needed.

Tina, I know you like to be prepared for the fires, etc. I always hope that you never need to use all of your preparedness.

Very hot here today----but still dry---I am doing inside chores as a result.

Just got home again...it's like 200 degrees outside...at least.

Stopped on the way home and got chicken pot pies from KFC. They would be perfect if they had a little less pepper in them.

well I know of the HOT weather, Cindy--but glad you are home---and with food too !!! I love that---if there is one thing I hate it is cooking (or cleaning) if I have been gone for even part of the day. YAY for restaurants & "to go" food.

I am still at Carrie's house, till Jon gets here in a few. The fires aren't close to me..just getting the smoke smell ... We have to go pacs already and extra supplies too... It's just so sad for the people who have lost their homes... A lot of the burned areas are in the beetle kill trees..mother nature is cleaning house. The wind is blowing a lot so not helping the firefighters at all... The had to evac a prison yesterday too..900 .......it's the only thing on our local news... Tey just said 80-100 homes gone... They keep saying the one at royal gorge is 20%contained. And the bridge is safe for now... Keep us all in your prayers...... We are safe here except for smoke but so many not right now..

Nana My Friend of almost 30 years says her house smells like smoke, She lives in Colorado springs,, I just saw it on the news,, I don't know how close to flames she is But she said they wind is carrying the smoke into her house, She is thinking of leaving, as she has a dog that is old and doesn't want him to get sick from the smell, she her self has respiratory problems, I told her to get out of there,,

Prayers for you and your family, Sherri. Keep Safe. And of course, prayers & well wishes for everyone else that is in the way of or who even might be affected by the fires.

It was finally on our news tonight. This whole situation is so very sad...

Thanks Carol,, I haven't seen her on FB, tonight so hopefully she has decided to take her dogs and go to a friends house for a few days,, This afternoon she texted me and said even her linen closet was smelling like smoke,, she had forgotten to close the flute(sp) to her fire place and suspected a lot of the smell was coming down her chimney. I can't even imagine the fear one feels in a situation like that,, I deal with tornados but they last only a few minutes while a fire has it's own agenda and so quickly spreads.

Diane, your friend is right in the area the fires are as far as smoke goes... it's doubled back on itself and is headed back where it's already burned... we are getting some of the smoke smell here too... the wind is blowing our way.. had to turn off our cooler for awhile to keep it out and shut the house up... it's scary out there... Jon's aunt lives there too .. they are in New Orleans and safe them selves but the house is close to the area... I hope your friend found a place to go that is safe and out of the smoke area... Joe said it was bad at his work too...
I just can't watch the news anymore...

Well off to take a shower and read awhile- Joe is going to make dinner tonit, I am just tired for some reason...
