Good morning, sorry I haven't been around much lately. My new meds have me feeling a bit 'loopy'.

It is so cool and damp here that we had to light the woodstove this morning...crazy weather.

Praying that all is well with everyone kissie

Hi everyone !! yes, Sunny, it is nice to see you. please take care.

Diane, my DH is a welder/fabricator and while he is in a building, there is no A/C and he is usually welding. I do not know how he gets by either in the summer. He does come home lots of days so beat that he eats, showers & then sleeps zoink

I slept a little over 10 hours last night. I was so beat that I really needed it.

It was hard to see my Valarie go yesterday. I will just see her a few times a year, as they have officially moved to their house in a small town near Cape Girardeau. Raining in my house just now---

I wish everyone a good day.

Glad you got good sleep in Carol, you needed it!

Not a lot going on at work today. It seems to be slowing down due to school being out, and vacations for both families and our Dentists. The last week or so I've struggled to find work to keep me busy for 9 hours. Many of us including the boss end up on facebook, or playing games on our cell phones, lol or playing cards with each other, until a driver picking up work from a dental office brings it in so we have something to do. We better enjoy the slow while we can. We just contracted with 40 more dentists,, so in another week or so,, we may be back up to speed.

lol we already have contracts with 3 franchises, Monarch Dental group, Castle Dental group and Jefferson Dental group as well has a maybe 150+ private Dentists, all with in the metro plex plus Austin and Houston. This last year alone we hired 5 more technicians and extended our dept( removeables< dentures and partials) to be able to get the work out and meet chair times for patients. I think the thing is, since we've been busy for so long, we were all in High gear mode, rushing to get the work done and keep the quality of work at high standards. That when I say we've slowed down , It's hard to get out of High gear mode, and go at a slower pace, we still get our work done fast. So If I used to have 30 cases a day I Have to hurry to get done, to 10 cases a day like now I still get them done by noon. I do office work and I fabricate night guards in the lab. I've always been a fast worker, and I've always been told to slow down, even tho I don't have a remake turn around factor. I guess after almost 30 years of doing the same thing it's like I can do it in my sleep lol

Didn't you miss out on ceramics last week to take care of your grandson. I know that is well worthwhile for you. I am glad you got your crafty side taken care of today, though.

New mulch and rock sounds good...have fun.

Freezing here again...had to light the woodstove again this morning.

These days I wish I had a small yard, the upkeep of a large lawn is exhausting lately.

Some days I wish for a smaller space to care for too. But I never wish for neighbors living too close.

WE have just under 1/2 an acre.

I do have to say that I am thankful I do not cut grass.---

Sorry you do not have the space you used to, Diane--but then it is less to keep up I guess.

Sunny, slow & steady wins the race, so when you have to do the lawn, why not cut it into 2 days work ??

I have to agree with Tina----I like not having neighbors right on top of me. On the one side, we have some ground, then the neighbors have their garage first and then they have a fenced in back yard, so we hardly ever see them. On the other side, we have ground then they have their back yard, then their house, so they are not real close either. It is not as good as living out on our 5 acres in the country, but it is better than it could be.

Just drinking my coffee and then I will get ready to go get my rock & mulch. And who knows I may buy a few extra flowers, even though it is late. clap

well, I am back---I have my hardwood mulch, my "Alabama Sunset rock", which is already in place, and the the area is also re-weeded. The flowers that I was able to find are in the places where I want them planted. The planting will be done either tomorrow evening (if it does not storm) or Friday.

Today is my lucky day--DH just phoned. They fed them a big hot meal at work today for lunch, so he does not want supper. YAY me !!

Sheri: I will take pictures soon.

Barb---there is black plastic (weed barrier) under my rock. When I used it in the garden, I use fabric barrier. Under my mulch, there is nothing. I dug out about 6-7 inches of the soil from the area I have mulched, (there was a lot of clay) I then replaced it with good soil from "the farm". Then I planted & landscaped.---after the planting I mulched the area to keep down the weeds.

I have been so busy this year, I have yet to weed that area & re-mulch it. nono I need to take some time for my poor negelected back yard plants/flowers. It will do this girl's soul some good as well.

supposedly the commercials are not "timed" to do that--but it is quite the coincidence if it is not timed.

we mute the the TV when there are commercials..

In an hour long show there are more commercials than actual show that you are watching. I watch the obscure channels that have old westerns. (I'm old)
I watch "Deadliest Catch" on Tesday, and it is now mostly commercials.
sorry bput the typos...my eyes are not good right now,

I think the shows play for 12 or 13 minutes then have a commercial break so it appears that they're synchronized with each other. I watch the Barefoot Contessa. I've watched Giada a time or two but I can't stand the way she pronounces some words. She's such a fake.

I really Like cooking shows, and try to watch all the "Guy" ones, I can't think of his last name, he did diner, drive in and dives,, and I like My home recipe rocks, with Joey. If there is Humor in it I'll watch it. But bland personalities and cooking I won't watch.
