I am glad you had such a good time today, Carol. It sounds like fun! I like the timer idea.
Our power outage will probably not last the full 8 hours. I do think they just give that as a time frame and then try to do the maintenance within that time.

Sunny---I didnt say before----isnt that the truth about white siding ??/ Usually we just have to wash down the north side of the house--this year it will need all 4 sides cleaned--- why

I did the bottom half of the east side (it was the worst part)

Cindy--I do so hope that things are going well for you now... why

Good morning...cold and rainy here.

That's a long power outage Tina, hoping it passes quickly.

So what prizes did you win Junie? Yup, I being nosy lol

Well, the cattle buyer came and bought all our cattle. We were told that it is unbelievable of the amount of small hobby farmers who sold out this year...no one can keep animals with no feed. This is one of the worst years on record for hay making.

On a better note, I made apple jelly and plum preserves yesterday...all my Fall preserving is finished grin

Good morning. I am also sad that your cattle are gone, Tamara. But very glad that you had a decent garden year. I hope you have an easy winter ahead.
I am ready for the school week.

Good morning !! Cream of wheat & coffee here---I did not want my stomach to growl at the Drs. (I have a check up today)

Sunny---I got a center piece as one of my prizes. A clear hobble glass jar/handle, full of beautiful flowers. They drew my valarie's name first, but she was not there & these were attendance prizes---so I will enjoy the live flowers & I will give the jar to my Val. Then I won a pump bottle of Bath & Body scented hand soap when the timer went off on my gift.

It is sad about your cattle, but as I have said, it iwll be less work on you & carey, which is a good thing.

I do so miss my apples & blackberries that I had out at the farm. A few batches of jam carried up thru the year. BUT with the cost of buying beries, it is cheaper to buy the stuff here now---I still catch myself saving jars for the jam though. blush

Dodge, that is funny about the cat-- lol

Tina: You are so organized--I am in awe.

I am not so organized. Ted really drank up all of his nutrition drinks this weekend and he was out. I had none to put into his lunch. No bread left for a PB sandwich. Then when we went to the van, I had a low tire. I drove off and had to wait for 2 trains and my tire place was closed. The one around the corner was opened though so I got it aired up. I drove Ted to school and back to my tire place. I have a pinhole in the sidewall and had to order a new tire that won't be in until tomorrow. So I am driving on pinhole until Wednesday. My tire was still under warranty though. All is well.
So I had a Monday morning.
I did shop for my needs and went to Walmart for Ted's nutrition drinks. Went back to school to pick him up. And I really laughed my morning away. I am so grateful I can have all of these things and repair what needs doing.

You sure don't panic when problems occur.

I find a problem daily an don't get them all done.

Dodge, if the light won't turn off you may need more break fluid. I've had that happen to a couple of cars I've owned. Tina, you're always so calm about things. Wish I could be more like that more of the time. I'm learning.

Having a productive day. Took two of the dogs running with me today, getting my laundry done, picked up my paycheck, and having dinner with a friend tonight.

Thanks Cher

I just fixed it . I read on the dodge forum to pull the release leaver ant the brake pedal at that same time. Yipee it worked. The pedal wasn't the whole way up an didn't release the light.
I did check fluid , lots there.
Thanks for the info..
Don't we all have our days?? Mine are too many in a row.

yep, mine are all too many on a row too. I still think that Tina is organized---at least she is compared to me.

My brake is like that too Barb. My instructions also say to put on the brake & while pushing down on the brake pedal to then pull up/out on the brake release lever. yep, the only way it will work on mine too. But work it does.
ALso though I currently have my airbag & brake light come one periodically. My mechanic said the sensor is going out, but that the airbags & the brakes were good. So until my lights are on all the time, i am good to go---Every 3 months my mechankic checks out my car so I am safe.

Going to watch 2 season premieres tonight
How I Met Your Mother and
Castle.

See you all after that wavy

I read somewhere that this whole final season of HIMYM is all happening on one weekend when Robin and Barney get married.... I am recording it.. will watch it tomorrow...watching Sleepy Hallow now... it's strange but good... going to watch Hostages too .. see if I like it- recording Blacklist and Castle... sure glad I have two DVR's...LOL!

It sure has cooled off here... I am sitting with my blanket over me and I'm still cold... won't turn on heat yet... but may have to soon.... it's snowed in the mountains already- and the poor people where the flood hit are really hurting.. they have some roads temp fixed but it will be months before they open up all of them - and a couple small towns are just ruined... so many didn't have flood insurance.... just so sad.... first fires now floods....

Well I am off to finish up the dishes and watch some more tv.... love new shows...

I liked sleepy hollow when I watched it last week, but I dont know about watching it all the time. let us know how Hostages goes---I think I would rather read about that one.

I intend to watch Blacklist on the computer some time this next week. It sounds as if it might be a good one to watch.

sorry for all the destruction. That is all just so sad.

well if that is so then there is at least one good thing. They had an episode the end of last year where they showed them all at the reception & I think I remember Barney & Robin dancing---(I am so hoping that they end up married.)

I have never watched any of the shows that most of you are talking about. I just recently began watching some Castle and Bones reruns. And they are not bad. Just mostly I have them as background noise when I am playing on my computer or napping. I am having a harder and harder time getting interested in TV shows. What the younger crowd finds entertaining, I do not so much.
In a bit I will watch Paul McCartney on Jimmy Kimmel (I get east coast stations) and drift off to sleep. They have shut down a lot of Hollywood for the live concert tonight.
Sweett dreams all. I am shutting it down and putting my son to bed.

Me, either. Never even heard of them, except HIMYM, but I have never watched it.
I have channels that show old westerns, and that's what I watch. You can't beat "The Rifleman". It's so old it's in black and white.
The only network show I watch is NCIS. The rest is Discovery, History channel, Animal Planet sometimes, and INSP. Bonanza, The Big Valley, The Rifleman, The Virginian...and I have watched Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman so much I about have all the episodes memorized.

I watch HIMYM--and I have recently began to watch "Castle"-- I happeend to be up VERY late one night & saw a very early episode of the show--then since I have seen the first 2 episodes. So now I try to watch it all the time. BUT I hear that the guy playing Richard Castle wants to work a 4 day work week--so we will see what happens. why

mainly I watch cooking shows (although not the reality ones) and The Big Bang Theory.
It seems there are reruns of it almost every night.... shewinks

I think I would like to read a book about the current "The Sleepy Hollow"
I may not have the patience to watch the show itself, we shall see.

Good night to everyone--
Tomorrow I have to take the truck in early to have the oil changed...while I go to "Ceramics" YAY hifive

flwrSweet Dreams to you all flwr
