Ok, let me try this again:

I have so much I could do that I guess I will just pick a room & begin.

I just got my coffee & then I opened up the glass sliding doors for Dante. I do that & then when he feels like it, he can go out to go Potty. Rod has a ramp there for him to go down. We figure that is easier for him to manuver. Sad thing is he will not come back UP the ramp. But for it to be good 1/2 the time is better than not at all I guess.

It is best to make life easy on our old pets. I was thinking about putting steps or something up to Ted's fairly tall bed for my dog. It is getting tougher for him to jump up there to snuggle under the blankets with Teddy.
Ted and I are leaving for school just a touch early so we can stop for gas on the way. One less stop for after I drop him off.

I hope the price for your gas is down---it is a few cents down here.

Yep--we try to help Dante as we can. he is 15+ years old and when he was a pup he was hit be a car. He has arthritis & a front paw that now has a "new" joint about 6 inches up his leg...he likley has cataracts & he does not hear the best.

But he is ours & we love him.

I paid $3.79 for my gas today. That is down a bit from Monday when I last filled up.
Yes, Black Butt is 13 plus years and I can see the cataracts and lack of keen hearing in him. He is just slower in general and very much so on cold mornings. He is still a wonderful dog though. When I let him out he wanders over to the neighbors and they give him a milk bone. He is not fond of milk bones so he brings them back and trades them in for a more choice treat. I am saving those bones to return to my neighbor. Plus a brand new box.
But he accepts the bones because it makes him feel loved. And he is.
I am deciding whether to bake something today or clean something.

Gas is averaging about $3.61/Gallon here; we filled up at Safeway for $3.32/Gallon last night.

The Cheapest gas in the country right now is South Carolina at 3.07/Gallon whereas the most expensive main continental state looks like California at 3.92/Gallon... It's kind of interesting how much it can change from state to state (poor Hawaiians at their $4.40/Gallon).

I just got a text from my youngest DD while we were eating supper. I guess she called the DR. & he wants to see Luke tonight, & so they are on their way over to "Children's Hospital" in St. Louis. She had him there by design so they woul dhave access to very good medical care in case something were to go wrong with his delivery. So now Luke's Dr. is there---YAY.

He may have a full blown case of Chicken Pox, or he may well just be having an allergic reaction to the amoxicillin he was put on yesterday for his Strep Throat. When it rains it pours....

I am glad he is getting some good care, Carol. I do think if I knew what I know now about immunizations, I would have been more selective for my kids.

Well, I had a long talk with my DR after Luke's MOM had her first set of shots.....(she did not fare well---however she was fine with all subsequent immunizations) But I do believe they do more good than they do harm. why BUT then each case is different, & we all have to do waht we think is best.

I think if Luke had not of gotten Strep Throat on top of this shot reaction/drug reaction thing---it would not have been any big deal/

See he was all broke out this morning when I texted her to see how he was, & he still had a fever. BUT my DD is strong-willed, so I just said, for her to get Luke looked at again if the rash did not go away---well it did not, so she must have called the Dr. And since it is hard to make a diagnosis over the phone, they have to go see him. This makes me feel better anyway.

And Tina, thanks.

Any word on Luke? I think strep is one thing my kids never got not spread around the family.
It was a good day here today. I am looking forward to hitting my pillows in a bit.

well I finally texted them--he got his meds switched..& is being sent home--mind you I still do not know if he has a full blown case of Chicken pox or what he has or if it was just a reaction to the penicillin. I was a bit worried about Scarlet Tina but I am likley over-reacting...

I had asked so many questions that I finally said that i would talk to her tomorrow, as they were still in the Hospital.

And ladies,....Thank you so much. shewinks

Sadly this is my youngest DD & I do not know a whole lot more.

I know that they did not keep him at the Hospital. Since she is not on goverenment assisitance they did not give him any new medication but gave her a new script that she has to get filled today as her pharmacy was closed last night.(I do think the hospital has a pharmacy but who am I)

I sent her an e-mail just now telling her all that Sherri said, so I hope she reads it soon.

My sick DH made enough noise to make sure I woke up AFTER he had touched everything in the kitchen....You know,.....if he has to be up so do I..and I slept in a whole different room last night...I was going to ask after him & go back to sleep, but no he wanted to know if I was going to stay up. So here I am....

Good Morning wavy I have coffee--anyone want any ???

Good morning. Hope Rod and Luke are both doing better today. I'm going to visit my mom with my brother and his girlfriend this morning then I have to work tonight. I finally have my set schedule as I work in a brand new building and we're finally open. Exciting stuff. Wet and windy here today.

Thanks ladies:

well I guess Luke is doing better-- and Rod says he is, although he got up at 6:30 & has been back to bed twice since then.

So I will not go to the wedding we were invited to(I do not know the way & we do not have a GPS) but I will go to the reception. It starts at 5.

The reception is the most fun part, anyway, Carol. I an glad your boys are doing better.
I have been cleaning. With my older kids here most of the time, my dishes tend to 'grow' in the middle of the night. That is OK. My leftovers shrink too. And they are quiet about it all.
I have most of my laundry washing itself. I am grateful for washing machines. Hand washing is something I have done and could do again. But I prefer the washer do it while I am doing something else. I do need to make more laundry detergent. I so love knowing what is in that and it cleans so well.

yes I know, and I agree about the reception, but the MOB was at my weddings for both my girls & as far as I remember they even came down to my oldest DD destination wedding to her 2nd husband, so that was 3 wedding she came to for me---but oh well if I can't then I can't---and as I have said, I will be at the reception...

I am glad you get to see your kids a lot---That is wonderful.

Hi all,
I have been cleaning.. doing laundry too... sealing up meat for meals later... still have some turkey meatloaves to make up and then seal... don't do quite so much cooking ahead now- just for us- do some stuff for if I don't feel well but it's mostly just big pkgs broken down to meal size for us...

It's sunny out today... but not very warm feeling in my house- don't want to turn on the heat yet so got my heated throw out for when I am sitting still.. If I get cold everything starts hurting .. don't like that much...

I went thru my closet this morning and put the summer stuff in the back and the winter and warmer stuff in front... will do dressers tomorrow... thinking of taking stuff that is worn a bit much and making quilt blocks out of it... don't know if I will do that but it's a thought for using stuff that's not usable for anything else... would keep me busy too this winter...

We had our first freeze last night they said... and it's snowing in mountains so winter is coming ... hope the snow waits here till after Halloween.. boys want to wear morph suits as costumes so coats over that will kind of defeat the purpose....

Well off to make meatloaves and start another load... don't know how just two people can have so much laundry to do.....?

Have a good day all!
Nana

If I wait much longer to clean my refrigerator out of "leftovers" they are going to take on a new like form and be able to crawl out on their own. nervous

Then I got up at 9 a.m. my time and found that my hubby had shared his cold with me. I guess one could say that was a good thing, because now he knows that what he has IS a cold & not just a bad run in with allergies. why

I had better feel better by Tuesday !! tapfoot

I also went back to bed. rose at about seven and began the bedding. I'm thinking it is about time to switch from the lighter bedding to the warmer stuff. Yes, even here in SoCal. Overnight lows are only into upper 50's but that is pretty cold for we thin-blooded people. And I don't want to light any wood stoves yet.
Deciding on dinner. The winds are down so it may be a good day to bring out the grill and do steaks. Baked potatoes and chopped salad on the side.

yea, I wanted to add the winter blankets too, but DH is a warm blooded type of guy , so I did not.

He also just took me to get a hamburger & fries so "he" could eat & I would not have to cook. I do not care for cold food, but then I guess this way I did not have to cook---not that I do on sunday anyway.....

I see a nap in my future---if my nose will stop running.....

I am glad that I do like cold food. Especially in the summer. I like to fill my fridge with a variety of salads like chicken, tuna, potato, macaroni and cole slaw. Along with some raw veggies for dipping and things, it can feed me for a long time. In the winter I like to do similar only with soups and hot sides and things. Easy zappers for a few days at time.
I am dithering on a nap or to get up and cook some french toast for the freezer.

Hi all,
I decided to pull out the fridge and clean behind it today... guess I should do it more often but it is a big job... my grandson did do the actual moving for me and getting all the stuff off the top so I wouldn't have to climb a ladder...it's drying now, then will go up and finish the floor mopping...

The bedding is almost all done washing and drying - it is going to hit 80 today.. so hung it outside- love air dried bedding... have my house opened up too- will be to cold soon enough....

Well off to mop... need a good idea for dinner tonight... .....

Well, I am just stoping in to say "hi". Just got up from a nap and am thinking about lying down again. Colds are certainly no fun.

Sherri, sounds as if you are as busy as Tina---Some days you ladies make me sit up in awe---what with all you manage to get accomplished....

I am off to shower early tonight before the evening temps drop. Then I won't be going to bed with wet hair. I don't want to catch Carol's cold.

Good morning. I came in to say good night last night but my computer crashed. So I just shut down and headed to bed. It is really too early for my day to begin so I will be headed back to finish my sleep in a bit.

Wish I could go back to sleep--enjoy for us all.

I have been awake off & on all night---between sleeping several times yesterday & this cold, I guess I didn't need any---

Today will be a crock pot sort of day.....

Good morning..loving this little stretch of fine weather. Thanks to whomever took my rain on trade grin

Today the grass will get it's final cut before Winter...the frosts are getting heavier. We dragged out those Winter quilts two weeks ago here. We'll see flurries in the air anytime now.

Today I will also fill my wood shed...then it'll be time to go cut and pile next years wood in a couple of weeks. A long busy day for me..but it feels good to enjoy the outdoor air.
