Good morning. Thank you for your Teddy thoughts and prayers yesterday. He did much better that I would have expected him to do. I hadn't expected the very long day, so I was whiny and a sad case last night. But proud of my kid. I will do better next time.
I am sorry for your sore jaw, Sunny. I am hoping that eases quickly through your day.
Today, Ted and I will stay home and get back to our more regular schedule.

Morning,

So glad Teddy did well... and yes you will be more prepared for next time... Sunny hope the day goes quickly for you.. and feel better soon... Carol hope day brightens up for you... we finally have sun again today.

Had a nice day yesterday.. Carrie felt some better having been taking her iron pills for almost a week now... not so exhausted... we went out for breakfast and then to Target to shop a little... found Nicoli a zombie costume on sale , since he can't wear his Minecraft one to school...to violent... ? he kills creepers... are there creepers in real life? Derek wanted to wear a Sombrero and a Pancho, he can't wear that either so he is just wearing his reg minecraft tshirt.. it is considered to ethnic... I find it wrong- he is 1/4 Mexican.. it is his heritage... last yr he wore a Luigi costume and no problem- I Italian plumbers are okay I guess...LOL! I think this country is getting ridiculous and about not offending someone... when did we not become the melting pot!

Okay rant over.....

Joe is off today.. getting yard decorated for the trick or treaters... it will be dry and cold so costumes over coats this yr... nice change- we had snow on ground last yr- do have to go to store and get candy today... and make my jack-0- lanterns... thinking we will have fish for dinner.. baked sweet potatoes and salad to go with...

Well better get myself moving or nothing will happen...

Have a good day all!

Nana

Thanks nana.

Sounds as if everything is going well for you today. That is good to read.

I bought individually bagged gummies for small children & the same in pretzels for the older kids. I have a small bag of Reeses for back-up. I just found out we have 2 nights here this year. so, I may be going out again tomorrow for candy.

I am expecting a whole 3 kids tomorrow night, maybe. I have just 4 bags of Reese's snack size for them. And leftovers for my adult kid (Jonni) who loves them.
I just got my lowest electric bill of the year. It was a very mild month. I am a happy person about ready to stretch out and nap.

Good evening. No giraffes in here.
I have had a pretty good relaxing day. And we will go back to our school routine tomorrow and do some shopping. So I am getting ready to bed my boy down and put myself to bed as well.
Sweet dreams all.

Happy Halloween!

I wish we could get away with simple treats here. Nope...each bag contains a pop, chip, bars and candy, then added fudge for family members. I also buy dollar store toys for a few kids as well.

Can't wait to get grandbaby out to a few houses and watch her excitement. grin

Good morning. It was not a great night's sleep. But I am up and ready for the day.
I'm wondering how many children you get, Sunny? That is a lot of junk food if you get hundreds.

Which reminds me--I must call & see if Momma made us popcorn balls.... shewinks

It is dark, cold & raining heavily here---

I am glad that the homemade regulations haven't come here. But where I live, it would only be close friends, anyway.
I am home for a while. I stopped to fill my tank and shop for the little items that were needed. I am already looking forward to a nap this afternoon.

I am sitting answering the doorbell. I guess that Halloween is like the post office. Neither rain nor snow will keep them (trick or treaters) From their appointed rounds.

I am headed to bed soon- am cold and achy... wind just does me in...

Good morning again. I am wondering if Carol got her popcorn balls?
It is to be a little cooler today. I may light up my woodstove this week. There is so much to do and I do not have the energy to do it all. I have to pick and choose priorities.

No--I never went there--- blush I am just heading out the door, thanks for reminidng me, I will drop by there--BUT I did get a qallon ziploc bag full of popcorn ball recipe from my sister. (She just makes it & leaves it go, loose--you can eat as much or as little as you want, it's just as good that way, so who cares... why

My back is hurting and I am getting a cold, but I have lots to do, so onward I wil be heading. Grocery & errands to do now then off to a birthday party for the mom of Rod's friend...

You have a busy day planned. I hope your cold does not materialize. Loose popcorn balls are actually the best. Caramel corn or kettle corn is easier to eat. Much less messy. And although most of the table corn used as vegetables are GMO, popcorn is not (yet).
Have fun.

Hi all, had no power most of the day yesterday due to high winds.

I only had 20 children here for Halloween, I was so disappointed....less kids each year and the sad part was that the weather was mild and sunny.

I have never eaten popcorn balls.

About Popcorn Balls, Sunny...If I send you a recipe, do you think you make them ?? They are wonderful really---

Sorry you did not have many children. That is sad really---I will say there were so many kids out even when my kids were small that my MIL used to have well over 100 each night--

very sorry about the loss of ppower as well----Glad to see that everything is back to normal...

Good morning. I set my clocks back early last evening. I am still disoriented a little though.
Today, I need to go out for a banking trip. Just moving money around via ATM. I was going to yesterday but didn't get around to it. Then the rest of the day will be getting ready for the week ahead. I really need to trim a lot of hair around here.

Good Morning ...

Yep think we set all the clocks last evening- even the cars... hubby's favorite time of year.. somehow at work he got elected to make sure all the equipment changed time on the right dates... he figured out last yr how to do it and keep it set till 2015... since he does 14 states it's a big job.. even with computers ... now he says he will retire before then so it can be someone elses problem that yr....LOL!

It's chilly today but sunny- going to have one more half way nice day then the snow is coming back and the cold with it... YUCK!

We have to go thru our new choices for health insurance soon and figure out what is the best for us... that will be this next couple weeks project.. Joe is taking extra days off this week so maybe we can do something fun too..

Well off to get my breakfast- just realized it's been more than the hour I have to wait after my first pill.. time to eat!

Have a good day all!

Nana

Banking done, check.
A fast food run for my littlest dude, check.
Nails trimmed, check.
Bills mailed off, check.
I'm thinking I will nap soon.
Then it will be haircutting for Ted and I and bath/showers.
I do need to figure out dinner plans but may just keep it simple tonight. Then see what is available at the store tomorrow to tuck into the crock for a couple meals this week.
Tomorrow it is to be cold and drizzly then warm up midweek back to low 80's. We are having a seesaw autumn for sure. But I am not complaining. The unusual wet has been a blessing.

The clocks in our cars and the clock on our TV's automatically change time.

Tina, I put steak and gravy in the crock pot before church today. If Johnny weren't here I'd probably eat peanut butter sandwiches all the time.

I did get dressed to go pick myself up some pumpkin cider to drink. Have really been wanting to try it and it's very good. Now I'm waiting for my dinner to be delivered. I love lazy days. The game was a little stressful but if that's the most of my stress I think I'm doing pretty darn good. Hope everyone is having a good evening.

Cheryl....I never really "get dressed".....unless someone dies or something like that. I wear my PJ bottoms and a t-shirt everywhere. I haven't had a pair of jeans on since before the surgery when I was in Washington. My daughter keeps telling me I am going to have a "wardrobe malfunction" one of these days in a public place (drawstring on the pj's...)....lol

I can't even imagine Pumpkin Cider.....never heard of it.

At home its sweats for me this cooler time of year. In summer, I have gone to scrubs. When I go out, I change into jeans.
I am done for the day. I never did cut Ted's hair. He watched me cut mine but objected to getting his done. That will happen another day. When he is in a better mood or I can't stand it in his eyes any more. But his hair is all clean and fluffy, ready for the school week.
I may have problems staying awake until bed time tonight.

Yes, Cindy, that is aweful.

Cindy, The only jeans I wear anymore is elastic waisted ones. y Stomach cannot stand the regular waistebands either. If I plan on staying home, I usually wear a housedress.--That or leave my PJ's on Like Cindy does.

I think it was bacause of the time change, but I went to bed at 10pm last night. yikes I think I was very sick the last time I actually did that. lol Sad news is I was up at 6:45...It's gonna ba a long day, I can tell.
