Our taxes are pretty simple and straight forward so far. But I do have protection in case of an audit. But I am not leasing any of my land out. That would be pretty interesting paperwork there. And yes, they do scrape off their fair share, Both federal and state.

I get up early too. It's the best time of the day. Johnny on the other hand likes to lay in bed and start late but then the day ends late for him. I've never understood that.

Tina you made me think about taxes. We haven't received all our stuff yet.

I think your blowing smoke this time Tina.
No one has protection of an audit>>>>>>>>Your not leasing yours , you are renting it out.
They don't scrape it ,they just take it. You aren't above the law by any means.
If you have multiple incomes, your taxes are not straight an forward.

I got the Espresso bed, Tina, and the changing table--which is good (I love dark furniture) but bad that the one side rail comes half way down. I have no idea why--(this is the same bed my DD has remember, but her rails are stationary)

I have all the paperwork so I am going to read it all tomorrow.
Luke is old enough for the rails to move, but I can only imagine what my other DD & SIL will have to say.

We get our taxes done by an accountant too. Always have. We think if there is a problem, let him deal with it.

I do not have multiple income sources. Just one. I am not leasing out or renting my land to anyone. It is simple taxes. I do have someone to deal with an audit if I need it. An accountant would go with me if needed. I have been audited before. It was all good.
Congrats on the the dark bed, Carol. I think they are no longer selling drop side cribs? I think they are easy to stabilize into a fixed position though. If it worries you.

well see that is why we were confused. This is the exact crib my daughter has for her son, & so should have come with stable sides. ( hers has the solid sides.)
Personally Emily likes that the side drops down some, it is easier to get Luke in & out of his bed.
The drop is really just about 6 to 8 inches is all. But we shall see what Valarie & Brian say--They are coming down in march for a Baby Shower.

Good morning. I actually slept in a bit today.
It looks like our rain dances may be squeezing some moisture out of the sky. We may get some sprinkles tonight and maybe some more next week. Anything is helpful at this point.

We are warm here today too. but supposed to drop to 20 or so tomorrow... so not looking fwd to it...

I feel so much better or did till last night- evidently something didn't agree with me- spent the evening in the bathroom , don't think it was something I ate- think it was maybe a touch of what boys and Carrie had last week.. hit fast and suddenly- then was gone and feel okay now- just not to anxious to eat much...

I still am not supposed to bend so Joe and Matthew are doing that part of stuff for me.. you don't realize just how much you bend over in a day till you aren't supposed to do it...eye is till swelling at night but does go down in the day time...still hurts some but not bad now-... just really hard to be patient and not do something dumb to mess it up..

Well off to go eat some lunch and then see what I can manage to do for dinner... it's even hard to cook, pans are all in low cupboards.. have to let the guys get stuff out for me... they preach patience- don't have a lot of it...

Nana

Nana, are you supposed to keep your head elevated at night to keep the swelling down?

We don't do our own taxes. Years ago my daughter and her husband and us had the same accountant. We and they always ended up owing money. Finally we changed and now we usually come out even. I don't know how they do what they do but good accountants can be a BIG help.

Nana, I hope you start recovering even more quickly now. I am not sure if I would be able to do the recovery so well.
When you own your own business, You need tax help.
I guess this about the warmest we will be today so it may be the best time to shower and bathe.

Account is helping me recover from a bad investment years ago. Someone went bankrupt an we lost bunch of $$$$$$$$$$. 2 times.

I may look around at another accountant, next year, my investment finishes this time.
Thanks for the tips.
Nana ....pleased your doing better, its hard to be patient when your in pain. But please be carefull....The eye needs you an you need it. prayers

One year when we had that other accountant Johnny owed $10,000.00 and my son in law owed $5,000.00. That's when we changed.

Tina, if it's not too nosy I don't remember you ever renting or leasing out your land or houses or anything for that matter. Not that it's any of my business.

Juniegirl, I try not to get worked up over the weather since I can't do a darn thing about it. I do try to prepare but don't worry about it. You try to do the same kissie

No. I have not shared my land. Or I should say, our land, as Jonni and I own it together. We are considering selling it, though. I don't want to live on it and neither does she.
I like to weather watch so as to be prepared for it too.

I dont worry about it, I just dont like to drive in it and so & do not like it when it happens. Plus we no longer have my Blazer...small cars do not do well in snow OR ice...

Well I finally began my embroidery work on my DD's Crib Blanket. thumbup

I'm with you Tina about not wanting to live on a bunch of land. As you know, we keep saying we're going to sell out and move to a neighborhood or condo but every time we look it feels claustrophobic and we stop looking for a while. I keep waiting for a house to be the ONE that I can't live without.

Juniegirl, I even hate driving in just the rain not even to mention the ice and snow. I don't know how you guys do it all the time. I'd probably become a recluse if I lived where you do.

Johnny finally got lab results and is hyperthyroid. He's lost from 206 to 177 in just a few weeks. He's lost 7 pound since Wednesday. I hope a doctor can see him tomorrow and get him started on medicine.
