Good morning. I could not get in earlier. Not sure what the problem was. Only the portal page would open. I have laundry going and have been tidying up in general. Getting ready for the kids to come tomorrow. I'm thinking of what to cook for the occasion. I am leaning towards a main dish of scalloped ham and potatoes. I have bunches of finger foods around and salads. I like a colorful table.

Sounds good Tina... I am baking a ham and making tater salad.. will have a green salad too and green bean casserole.. broccoli and a veggie plate... baking the bunny cake this afternoon...
The grandson who is living with us right now decided to join the army... not thrilled with the idea but his dad and grandfather were both career officers... so since he can't find a job that pays enough to live on by himself he is joining up...at least he will get a trade out of it he can use later I hope..
Got to get my house stuff done today too- yesterday got sidetracked with Carrie's water heater problems and the boys so have to clean and twin proof the house- means meds up high and out of sight and reach- and breakables... they are better about temper tantrums but better safe than sorry and they are really tall now- almost as tall as Timba and he will be 13 in a few weeks.. they are just 9... Sean and my ex are tall so that must be where they get it...
Well off to shower and hit Sams for the gift cards for the baskets... and more vinegar- somehow forgot that last time I went... and I use lots of it...
Have a good day all..... HAPPY EASTER!

I am constantly changing my dinner plans for tomorrow. I just made the beans with the ham shank this week. And a potato salad. That ham and potato combo is not sounding as good as it did at first. We will decide tomorrow.

Well, My bedding is all fresh and new. I went through Ted's pants and brought out new ones for him from where I tuck them away. I think this will be an all salad day. I made a chicken salad to go beside the ones already made. I will be clipping nails next. As soon as I get up and move again.

Hi all, I see that Carol had the best Easter of us all We had a nice turkey meal at my mothers and grandbaby was so excited about the bunny passing with treats. Rain here for today, we are starting to rise above the freezing mark...if this snow could only melt.

Yes, the Easter bunny left Carol's family terrific sweetness this year. Good morning. Up before my alarm again. It is going to be a lovely day.

Bless you all. Yesterday is how it is a Sunday as it is supposed to be... I had hoped to sleep longer today--but oh well. The good news is Rod left me several cups of coffee, where he usually leaves me like 3/4 of one cup...

Rod must have been tired from the family excitement yesterday too. We are ready for school. Lunch is packed. Ted has breakfasted. But it is still a little too early to head out. So I am marking time.

I thought he would be exhausted from driving 6 hrs in one day, he said he was good, well except for his bad back from sitting that long. I will say that the coffee pot is new, perhaps I did not make the coffee strong enough we shall see tonight.
We got a recall letter on our car. Well perhaps it is a reall on our car--we shall see--I have to call today & see.

I hope whatever is wrong with your car is an easy fix. I took Teddy to school and only stopped to fill my tank on the way home. The cheapest station I can find is still $4.11. The rest begin at $4.29. Going outside to work on some stuff today.

I could use some of that extra coffee, I am so tired today. Gas has reached $6 a gallon here, driving has become an 'only when needed' thing, especially since we live so far away from the stores. I see the robins have returned...so spring must be here even if it doesn't look like it

The rest begin at $4.29. Going outside to work on some stuff today. As Rod suspected, The dealer was just trying to get his customers to come in and trade their cars---the receptionist even said so) I gave her my VIN# & she said our car was NOT on the recall list. I then told her I wanted some written verification that the car was safe to drive. she got quiet & said she could mail me out the page that said all was ok with the car---I said that would work---So now, the way I see it, I just cannot trust this dealer any longer but at least now I know that fact--- Gas is $3.65 a gallon here where I live. Down in Southern Missouri we got our tank filled for $3.34 a gallon. Sad is the day that we are happy to pay "only" $3.34, huh ???? Rainy here today, so inside I am....

Afternoon all, Had a nice long post and it wouldn't post...grrrr.... well to recap.. We had a wonderful Easter Sunday.. had a brunch time dinner... came out really nice and tasty... weather was perfect too.. we set up the tables on the deck and ate outside- kids ran around like crazy and had a ball... played soccer and baseball ... hunted the 80 eggs I had the parents hide.. and then hid them again and searched again.... because they could... because Joe was not working we got to do it early... and so everyone got to go home early - school night so that was good for everyone... spring cleaning bug hit me today.. I spent the morning today cleaning my kitchen- undersink .. good thing I did cause garbage disposal is leaking-- need a new one- see a trip to Home Depot tomorrow...washed the window , valance and blind too... repotted a couple plants.. then cleaned out my pantry and got rid of old stuff, refilled all the canisters and salt and peppers... now tomorrow I can clean out the fridge and do all the cupboards... then on to rest of house... Well off to finish up the tuna noodles I made the boys.. put the leftovers away for tomorrow... Nana

Evening everyone! Thank you JunieGirl for warm welcome and letting me know about the CoffeHouse! I spent most of my day outside behind the lawn mower. This is no easy task with 4 little ones in tow... I mowed until my mower's handle went and snapped off on me... Then I decided I would weed eat and I ran it until it ran out of gas. Unfortunately I still have a few acres left to go. I was really hoping to get my garden walls put up today, but tomorrows rainy forecast changed my mind. I ordered some organic Cantaloupe seeds and with the fear of losing them due to our whacky weather planted them indoors until I can transplant in (what I have read 2 months. Right now I am sitting at the kitchen table while my oldest daughter does her homework. How has everyone's day been?

Welcome, Annie. You sound like me when my kids were smaller and I was younger. I am in So Cal in an elevated area above San Bernardino. I am going to open a new Coffee House because we keep them at about 100 posts before moving on to a new one.
