Sounds good to me Tina... love doing ahead cooking... I took out porkchops for us for dinner tonight... that and baked taters .. salad too....

I am doing laundry too... seemed like it was a necessary evil today- or become nudists and don't think world is ready for that..... LOL!

It is cool here today- just fans going to keep us cool, supposed to rain again this afternoon and it is clouding up now... love the cool but not to fond of the humidity... can't have it all I guess... we are ahead on our rain totals this year... love that, sure don't need the drought conditions again...

Well off to change loads... have a good day all!

Good morning, please post a pic of your blanket when it is finished Junie.

I have laundry to do this a.m. as well...mopping and such to follow.

I went out picking wild strawberries yesterday afternoon, there is nothing as good as free food for preserving.

Good morning. It is much more humid than I like. I slept with a fan on me last night. I don't usually. I am so glad I cooked yesterday and do not have to for a couple more days.

Good Morning all,

It is a bright sunny day out there so far... feels like rain though so bet we get some eventually...

I am going to go make some pancakes in a few for the boys this week... may make some waffles too who knows... Joe is still sleeping so can't make to much noise yet...

Well off to pancake land... got some milk that needs to be used up ... and some hot cereal mix that no one will eat as cereal - will mix that in too.... can't hurt for a few extra vitamins and fiber... right? LOL!

Yes, exactly Tina. AND for that I am thankful.

I got a scare tonight. My Pregnant DD called told me to "calmly gather up clothes & pills & drive to her house and be prepared to stay until further notice." I thought she was being dramatic & had had her fill of taking care of an active almost 2 year old. Well, nope, she was serious...her DH was on his way home & they were taking her to the ER because of pains she had been having. Long story short they came home & whomever examined her said she (& hopefully the baby) were fine. Now to talk her into making an appt to see her Dr. ASAP.

I did get to have an unexpected evening with my grandson though, so that was good.

Yes some Luke time was a good thing, Thanks, Tina. You are so kind.

and yes, I hope they are ok--I am just off to write her an e-mail advising her to go see her DR(OBGYN) ASAP

Going to bed soon as in the early Morning I am going to take my MOM to the Hospital to get a procedure done so as to check on her bladder. Then most likely I will get her home & get to go right back with my DH to his yearly check-up with the very same Dr...GRRRRRRRRRRR.

Good morning...we are going to have to change Junie's name to taxi driver lol

I am glad things were o.k. for your daughter and I agree a second opinion would be best.

I sleep with a fan every night Tina...I can't sleep without the noise. We are having such high humidity lately.

Nana, I never thought about adding cereal mix to pancake batter...a great idea.

More thunderstorms headed for us....guess I'll take a run to the local grocery store today. They finally restocked after losing everything after no power for 3 days.

Good morning. I slept well with one wake up call in the night. My dog really needed to go out. I listened.
Carol. If your daughter calls the Dr and says she had gone to the ER, they will want her in right away. A good doctor would, anyway.
Sunny, my fan, on low, is pretty silent. But I also keep a TV on low for the noise value.
I have no idea what the plans are for today. We will see.

I am sitting in the Outpatient surgery waiting room just now--when mom is done with her procedure I will go back so I can hear what the Dr says. Mom will be mad,(she & dad always treated us as if we were still small children, & she still does.) but she does not always understand what is being said, and I am to report to my siblings---so...

Thanks Tina....

Dr just came out---all is well except that they will need to have her come back next week to remove a small growth. It would be so much simpler if they would have jjust done it today---but oh well.

Yes it is a bit odd. How it works is This Dr comes to a local hospital to see patients....His office & main practice is in St. Louis, Missouri. So, he does all of his procedures/surgeries in the early morning & when he is done with those, his nurse begins to call his patients for the day to tell them when to come in for their visits.

Today I over-heard another patient, & Today this Dr had an emergency surgery, so he was running unusually late...but still, Rod could have gone to work today & not had to use a vacation day.

Yes, much like Ted's dentist in his hospital work. It makes sense. But, I think
I'd prefer a primary closer to me.
I am one droopy mama tonight. Counting the minutes until dark and Ted going to bed.

Good morning...hoping all went well with Rod's appt. Will your mom be having a 'day surgery'?

I agree Tina, waiting for phone calls is a waste of a day.

Raining today...thinking I'll rest today. Grand girl and I made a butterfly house yesterday. Everything she sees on t.v. she 'needs' , I am going to have to limit her 'garden show' viewing lol

Hmmm, garden shows are still better than cartoons and their commercials. I think all preschoolers need everything they see.
Good morning. I am trying to decide what to do with my day. I'm thinking it will involve a vacuum cleaner.

Tina: This is not a primary care Dr. This is a Urologist. The Hospital he goes to (30 minutes away) is closer than his office is & the traffic to the hospital in question is easier to drive in. This is why mom & Rod go to him.

Mom;s surgery will be a day surgery yes, But as they will put her out I have no idea how long of a day that will be.

LOL cute little girl, Sunny. It makes me smile to think of her saying she 'needs' things.
IMO Don't limit her viewing though, limit how many new things can be done in a certain time frame--make her chose what she really wants...she just as well learn young that we cannot have everything we want. And as a side note--I think we should all get jsut what we want & when---sad to say, what I think does not count for diddly.

beautiful weather again today.

yes, that happens to me a lot. If I were just feeding me, I think I would make a pot of soup, & eat on it until it was gone then make another pot of a different type of soup, & carry one...Most of the time that I am cooking supper I am not actually hungry...

Good morning, sun is shining and the rain has stopped....I see a 'weeding' day ahead today.

Tina, I love pasta but DH is a 'meat and potatoes' guy.

Will you be going to Val's or is the baptism being held where you are Junie?

We are being invaded by green weevils...wish I could rid of them. It's just like a locust type situation.

Yay for sunshine !! Sorry for the weeding, but hey, at least you will get to be outside !

I love pasta too. Rod will eat most things--BUT soup is not something he will do more than one day in a row--and you have to have something else with it, like say a sandwich of some kind, or a meat dish....

I wish the baptism was here---but nope it is in Southern missouri. THAT is the excuse Emily is using to NOT go. She should realize that she is having a child here in a few months----

I would liek to have just a few days where I could be happy...
if this keeps up I willhave to have 2 celebrations on each holiday--- rolz I have no idea who raised my youngest child, but it was NOT me.....

Off to "TRY" to get my errands finished today---- I heard the tree trimming truck backing up again..he had better not be on MY road again....

It is much cooler here today. I'll take it. Still sunshiny and warm but not over 80*. Unusual.

I do that a LOT, Tina. I like to think it is the computer & not me--but I guess it could be me...I even know what I said sometimes.

Going out to lay some mulch down in a while--It is still too hot for me to be outside... rolz

I can find every reason in the world to stay home, unless I run out of milk...lol
I hate to go anywhere, but it seems there are doctor appointments constantly now. Rachel and Brennan came yesterday, first time since February...I was at the neurologist first...then had to go to the cancer center after that and had to wait 2 hours for my phlebotomy because the doctor went on vacation last week and double booked this week. So Rachel is sitting at my house all this time and my cell was dead so I couldn't call her (I never use it so forgot to charge it). boohoo Girl there asked me if I wanted to use the phone to call her...but I don't even know Rachel's phone number. I just push a button on my phone and it calls her. I need to try to memorize her number in case of emergency...but my mind is half gone at this point. Can't remember what I even ate today. Good luck on remembering a phone number...lol

hey, Cindy wavy Nice to see you.

You sound like me.
I had left home & had only made one stop, & on the way to my second stop, to get gas in my car, I began to have a "conversation" in my head about my 2 girls...So, I get my gas, clean off the car & go on my merry way. Then when I am in the town I was going to, (20 miles away), I think to myself, I do not remember getting my change when I paid for my gas---panic sets in---I had not paid for my gas I am thinking. I pulled over counted my cash & saw that I indeed had not paid for the gas...Now, of course I did not have the phone number of the gas station, so I could not call them to say I would indeed pay them on my return trip in the afternoon, so I turned around, went back to see if I had paid for my gas & yep, sure enough, I had not paid-- yikes tapfoot So I paid them then. I have NEVER done that before, I was so embarrassed..
By then it was so late that I just went to the grocery---so no new slacks or shirt for Carol... egad

I got the 2 cu. ft.bag of mulch laid down tonight--(I need another bag to finish the area) In the area where the dog pen pavers are, I moved pavers to fill in an empty space that had been in one of the pens and laid down some loose rock to fill in the spaces where I had the moved pavers---Now all is left is to lay down new landscaping paper & more new rock in a few areas...Well there is more to do but that is what is next.

Going to bed soon--nite nite wavy

I do keep a list of phone numbers written down in my house and in my car. Just in case. I want to be able to keep in touch in case of a disaster.
And here, gas won't flow until after you pay. I do need to fill my tank tomorrow. Thanks ofr the reminder.
I should do some laundry as it will be cool again, too.
Sweet dreams all. Off to snuggle in.

Wait, we're supposed to remember? lol... My memory is so bad, and I'm only in my early 30's; it's never been something I've been able to rely on (which is weird, anything I LEARN I remember no problem).

I have my phone contacts backed up to Google and my Google Voice (phone) account, so if I lost my phone I'd be ok, but I don't think I have anyone's number memorized but my mothers line that she's had since I was a kid... Though if I think about it really hard I can remember my own phone numbers, lol.

I used to keep numbers in my car too, Tina. At one point I even had a small phonebook in there, but now I only have the numbers I put in my phone--which would get me Drs & family members, but no business numbers....I guess I have to go back to keeping a small phone book in the car--(and a magnifying glass). lol

and I guess we are NOT supposed to remember things--LOL at least I hope we are not--because if we are I am in DEEP do-do.

There is no rhyme or reason to what I remember & what I forget---I have tried to keep track to see if I could tell----it is useless, so I have stopped trying/worrying. I know a lot of numbers, mainly land lines, but do not have so many cell numbers memorized, sad to say...

Good Night.....again..... snooz
