You are not alone for sure...I am constantly writing things down to remember.

Junie, here they have camera's installed on our pumps...if we ever drove away, we'd have the police on our tail in minutes.

Glad you are getting some cooler temps Tina.

Hoping to start staining my shed today. My chore list is starting to really dwindle down. grin

Good morning. Today we will have to go out. I am nearly out of bread. So bread, milk and eggs along with produce are our summer staples.
The weather is lovely.

Tina are you buying eggs at the produce stand or farmers market or at your store. I've started buying mine at the farmers market. I'd love to have my own but I don't know if I want to go to that trouble.

yes, I was woried about that. And you "know" that they would never believe me in a million years...That is why I went back so soon, so they would be more inclined to believe me.

off to do an errand & then back home to finish packing for my Granson's Baptism trip.

Sheri, raising chickens isn't much trouble. In fact it seems to be the new city project around here. I keep debating of getting some...just worried that the foxes will get them though.

I finished staining my shed...it is all finished except for one shelf to be installed inside. I never thought to buy 12 ft long boards.

We are having the most beautiful day...nice winds. We cut hay this morning.

I could have chickens here, too. But coyotes, foxes and hawks would like it too much. As well as the ground squirrels and snakes. I have a whole hawk family nesting in my trees. They have helped keep down the vermin out there. And the owls do some night hunting when the hawks are sleeping. And leave interesting bundles below their trees for proof. I am just so grateful that bears have not bothered us here. I do like the wild life. But it hinders some other things I would like to do too.

Fresh out of the shower. I an heading to bed. If my hair is sticking out everywhere tomorrow, I'll just get it wet again. The ups and downs of short hair.
Sweet dreams all.

I did my bath tonight & will wash my hair tomorrow.

My MIL is not well enough to walk by herself, Tina. Plus I think she has had a few more strokes since the first one in April. She can carry on normal conversations & such but she needs too much help for us to take her out by ourselves. So, no she will not be going.

The gifts are wrapped and on the counter. I will check the suitcase one last time while the washer & dryer are finishing up their loads. I would really like to know why it is that I wake up around 8 to 9 pm at night...if I could "fix" that I would be one happy person....

Sweet Dreams, Tina.

G'nite from me too.

Good morning.

Have fun Junie.

Tina, wildlife can't be trusted here either. I am steady worrying about my horses between the moose and bears.

A hot day for today is forecast.

It has been good weather for outdoor work. I've been washing my various trash cans. I use 4 for recycling. And two for regular trash to haul to the dumpster. None were very pretty. The waste water goes to watering trees and shrubs.
Also catching up on laundry during the cooler weather. Ted and I went shopping for our few needs for the next few days. I am not going anywhere this afternoon. There is a concert in the park up the road.
I hope Carol is having some good family time.

I guess Tina got my cooler weather and send me her heat...I feel so tired. How a person could get used to high temps amazes me.

If I moved to your area, Sunny, I would spend the summer wearing jackets at the very least. And the days that I did not need a jacket, I would die of humidity. And let's not mention the winters....
I'll take my desert. Lots of cleaning done today.

I never thought of that..I'm sure you'd all die when it reaches minus -40*F in February. lol

We never have heat like this steadily though, we'll get a few days here and there but this Summer it is relentless.

Errands to run today...going to check the garden centers also, they are all having liquidation sales.

Good morning. It is all about acclimatizing to what you have, Sunny. My grandparents retired here from Chicago. Their first couple of winters, they sat on their front porch watching the neighbors go by in jackets and parkas and such and wondered why. Even laughed a bit. But after they got used to the very hot summers and mild winters, they were in their coats too. Laughing at themselves.
I was born and raised here. But as an adult, I have spent 5 winters in the northeast, from upstate NY to Conn in a weather that held records until they fell this past winter. It was the humid summers that killed me. Sent me packing for my desert 'home'. I much prefer dry air in the summer and we have that most of the time.

Well except for my paternal grandfather who came to IL form England.

Off to run catch up errands today. wavy

Some of my ancestry can be traced from the settling of Chicago. Some from outside of Detroit. Then there are people who came into the family from all over, like a great grandmother from Switzerland. I do love my desert though. Even with the drought. I have watched the climate change in my lifetime with the water we have imported.

I was born and raised here in Portland, OR; it never got as hot as it does in the summers here now, and it used to snow every year, lol..

Now adays we're "lucky" to see snow, even more "lucky" if it sticks. Short of the couple of days it snowed and sticked (~18 deg at night) it didn't get much colder than the mid 30's.
