I don't know. Sometime in the next week. She doesn't have a schedule to keep.

Oh my--I am so sorry that she left--I so hate it when the kids leave the house, even for a short time. I remember those days well. I hope the time she is gone will just fly by & she returns before you know it.

Tomorrow by 1:00 it is supposed to storm & then be in the high 90's or even triple diget numbers. yikes So tonight I laid down the landscaping paper & new rock in an areas by the old dog pens & pulled a few weeds. Now all it needs to do is rain so the rocks can be cleaned off & my tomatoes watered.

I am going to go to sleep soon, so g'nite to everyone.

Coming through in the middle of the night.
No, Carol. I am happy that she has gone out into the world. It is normal for her to do so. I like it.

Good morning.

Is Jonni visiting friends or searching for a new adventure Tina?

We are expecting thunder storms today and tomorrow...this year we have had more than our share. Guessing the high heat isn't agreeing with Mother Nature.

Made a full sized shelf in my shed yesterday...today I will tackle what is mine to be moved from DH's shed. I am hoping to get my own set of tools also, that way I'll know where they are and not need to be searching everywhere to find them.

Tina, yes I know it is normal & good. I just really liked my girls at home it made me happy. They are both off & on their own now of course. Valarie even was gone before she married.

YAY for shed shelves. Now I know what you can ask for for your B-day & Christmas...tools I have my own but they are not good ones, just cheapy ones. I should really 'fix' that I guess.

Thunderstorms are expected here as well. And when there is no storms the temps will be high 90's & feel worse, so they say.
So, I need to go get my errands done early.

I wish everyone a great day!!

Good morning. I thought i posted in here before wandering off to pull weeds. It is too hot for weeds now. I prefer to have my own tools as well.

Both? Jonni and a girlfriend ran away together just after Jonni's 16th birthday. During that time they stayed in LA with the friend's cousin and had a pretty good time and made friends. Jonni is still friends with some of them. In the last seven years since then, she has moved out twice. But has not found a roommate that has worked out long term. Well, except me. She will be 23 next month. Time to look around again.

It is nice that Jonni knows that she always has a safe place to go to should she need/want. You are a good Mommy, Tina.

It is unbearably hot today here. Rod is grilling outdoors & I am inside making things to go with the meat. I am going to make it simple. We will have mashed potatoes, fresh tomatoes & cucumbers and then for dessert we will have Strawberry Shortcake. The shortcakes are cooling & the Strawberries are "sweetening" as we speak.

Emily just called. The 3 of them are coming by tomorrow after church. We will all go see Marie & then out to eat lunch.

I am one happy Momma/Grandma

Good morning. Today I will box up the school supplies I have been gathering. Teachers go back to school this coming week so I'll try to get most of it in to Ted's class when it is most convenient to them. I'll be meeting Ted's new teacher and principal too.

I hope your meetings go well, Tina. You know I ALWAYS hated when school started. And I am referring to when MY kids were in school. I liked them home....or perhaps I just liked summer ??

I just agreed to watch Luke for the next school year.

I will watch him every Thursday & Friday..and then every other Wednesday. Good news is it is for half a day. I should be home around 1:30. That is good so I can drive home in the light during the winter.
FYI: I am not the best driver, so I try to avoid risky car situations. Icy roads in the dark are not a good thing to my notion.

Just Luke? You'll have your hands full when #2 arrives grin

I remember when Jonni ran away that time...I worried so much. Glad she is back home safe and sound.

Jonni had a short trip. Hope she had fun.

Juniegirl, I took care of Darbi one day a week when she was little. We had the best time. One of Shelley's friends keeps trying to get me to take care of her 2 little boys but it's not happening. Not my line of work.

No one should drive on icy roads. I am hoping for a mild winter for you, Carol.
Yes, Jonni was gone for 7 weeks. She became an angel on coming home because her dad became ill when she was gone. I am glad she got that adventure out of the way. Almost seven years ago.

I very slightly remember that, Tina. While I am sorry that John got sick, I am glad of how it made Jonni realize what is important in life. I do agree that it was good to get it out of her system. Now she knows.

IF Emily & Chris lived closer to me I would of not even hesitated to say yes for watching Luke & his sibling. So thanks Tina for wishing me a mild winter. They have interviewed a nanny. & while Emily says she likes the lady, she is still a bit leery.

I guess I should go to sleep here soon. G'nite.

Yes, Sunny it sure is...The house is cool this morning---I should be going out to work some more on my "patio" area. But I think I will stay in by the phone & do bookwork and perhaps some corn freezing.

Afternoon all,

It's been a busy few days.. Nicoli had a horrible episode.. ended up in the er but they kept him 8 hours , refused to call his doc .. tried 8 different meds on him-nothing worked.. carrie after being there most of night and just coming off working till midnight... finally after him still screaming in pain..she checked him out and gave him his abort drugs again... took 2 hours to work but he finally went asleep..and woke up okay mostly.so everyone slept Sat away- she called me at 5 to go get Derek , he was going to be alone .. they were still at hospital and Joseph had to go to work... can not understand them not calling his doc .. carrie caught the nurse- and PA googling abdominal migraines to see how to treat him. excuse me call doc familiar with this and do what they tell you.. only thing they did was give him hydration and drugs that don't work... just so frustrating for everyone...

We are going tomorrow to get the boys classroom furniture... desks and a narrow bookcase to hold their books and supplies. Carrie had the money for it and had to spend it on ER.. so we will go ahead and get it... one less thing for her to worry about...

Well I am her house with Timothy waiting on Nicoli's school pkg.. cleaned up her kitchen so far... may have to vacuum next.can't just watch tv....

Nana

I am so sorry, Nana. I hope that was a grand finale for Nicoli and that it never happens again. Yes, they should have called his doctor.

OH MY--it has been a busy time for you & yours, Nana. I just cannot understand them at the hospital NOT calling the DR. I am sure I would be telling the Dr. about this. And really he most likely will be told, as he should be told about another episode happening. That is outrageous. Is there another hospital that They can take that poor baby to should the need arise. ???

OH !! I just remembereed...I had a Dr once that had left orders that if ANY of her patients were to come into the ER she was to be called to treat them. So, I guess they are not legally bound to call the patient's Dr. right off the bat. I would like to think, however, that most hospitls do call the Dr. or at very least would call him if the patient or the family asked them too.

I wish you all better experiences with this in the future.

Good morning....I ran errands yesterday.

It has been raining a lot so not much can be done outdoors. I should do a 'baking' day today.

Good Morning.
A baking day--that is what I did yesterday--well that and weed & water. it was so strange doing such as that outdoor work during the day..I usually have to wait until evening.

SHHHHHHHHHHHHHH...do not spread the word, but I get to go to ceramics today...well if I get out of the house anytime soon.
But never fear, I will at least get to eat lunch with the girls, before I go to see my MIL (if I do not get out before lunch)

I should run an errand too, but I think that will wait, and it can so no problems there.

How is your MIL taking everything so far, Carol? How is she doing?
I went out to the grocery store and spent way too much. But I am grateful I can if I want to. I have a house full of fruit and vegetables and a lot of food options.

She is doing well. I took her more clothes today, and I really think that there will be no more clothes brought for awhile.
I think she knows that she is not going back to the assisted living, as she was asking what it cost to stay at the nursing home (over twice what the assisted living costs) and how long could she keep her apartment when she was not living there.

Just spoke to Rod's brother. Hopefully he will call tomorrow night & talk to Rod.

About food. I think it is time to stop buying new food & start eating what I have to clean stuff out before I begin to store things back up for the winter.

off to watch TV for awhile.

That is good that she is thinking ahead. And clear headed enough to do so. I am always just so sorry when it comes to this stuff. It is hard on the families as well as the person.

I would love to have a baking day but Johnny won't eat anything fun. I have frozen blueberries and when someone visits I'm making a cobbler.

Just tell us when to arrive, Sheri!
Sweet dreams all. I'm ready to hit the hay.

One excuse is as good as another, Sheri. thumbup
I tell you what, I'll even bring the coffee/tea/milk to go with the cobbler.

I just got back from seeing my MIL. Apparently she was NOT going to bed until they took her home (read her apartment at the assisted living). so as she would not even go to the bathroom..they called me. And hour later I finally got her to consent to going to the bathroom & changing into dry clean clothes. A bit later she was much more reasonable said: no, of course she was not going anywhere that time of night (she said this in a tone that suggested that I was crazy to suggest such a thing). She said she often slept on the chair and could do the same in this chair (wheel chair). She told me not to wake up Rod, & that she did not want him upset....
Mind you, Rod called me while I was at the gas station getting gas.

So now I am wide awake & so will be staying up for awhile.

But just in case I am not back, sweet dreams to you all.

Good gosh, what a situation Junie. I do hope she can be convinced that it is the best situation for her.

Tina, a house full of fruit and veggies sounds great...that's something to dream about with the high cost of fruit here.

Sheri, I'll trade husbands with ya for a bit...mine would eat sweets instead of meals. lol
