Good morning. It was a good night to sleep last night.
Sunny, is the preschool half days?
I wish everyone a safe and healthy day. After I take Ted to school I have an appointment to take my van on for smog testing. After that I will go straight to AAA and pick up my tags.

Just popping in to say hi---I am watching Luke 3 days this week & next. I have to get up so early that I usually do not have time to come in before I leave. Sorry guys

I am glad you did pop in, Carol. Busy days for you.
We just finished dinner and clean up. Not much clean up with steak on the grill and baked potatoes and salad. I got most of my day in, at least the planned things. And I am tired.

Tina, preschool is only two hours a day, 4 days a week but it is the drive in Winter that worries me. I have to drive a good 25 minutes each way. I will just stay there for the two hours...and if the weather would ever get too bad when we are, my Goddaughter lives just a 3 minute drive away.

Popping in is good Junie, it keeps us from worrying.

Last night I took down all my cabinet doors and removed all the hardware. I plan to start sanding today but I got up this morning thinking, "what the hell did I get myself into?"

Glad you have someone to stay with so close to the school, Sunny. That is comforting I am sure.

You are a better person that I am for sure, Sunny. That is quite the job you are tackling there with the cabinet doors.

I am in for the day. It was another busy one. And I will be trying to take a nap too.

Busy days seem to be the norm. I also find it to be a long week Tina...might be the cooler weather upon us. Apparently it is snowing out West today

I need someone to talk me out of all these home renos that need to be done....sometimes I'm to smart(or stupid ) for my own good.

I did nap this afternoon. And I am glad Iput dinner into the crock this morning or it wouldn't be happening today. .

Yes I got home today at 2pm. I watch Luke from 7:30 am until 1 p.m. every Thursday and Friday. Then I watch him on alternating Wednesdays as well.. So 2 days one week & 3 the next week. Half days sounded good--well until you factor in the drive time and the getting up very early for the drive time. This child should have realized & bought a house closer to her Momma. Her DH would not have disagreed on that.

There is a lady who watches him Monday and Tuesday every week and then the alternating Wednesdays. I go to ceramics on Tuesdays & she goes to quilting on Thursdays.




Well, I could try to talk you out of them, but then would you listen ???

Good morning all, we had lightning storms last night with such heavy rain.

Tina, Alberta always gets an early taste of Winter. They have been having awful weather the past two years.

Rest when you can Junie...wee ones are fun but exhausting.

I had a dream last night about Tina. You sent me pictures and there were two boys and 3 girls in the pic with you and you had really short hair. I dream such vivid dreams now.

More sanding today ahead....and no Junie, I probably wouldn't listen

Good morning. I am up a little bit early. But I slept well and long last night so it is good.
I do have 5 kids, Sunny. Just stretched out over years. My two oldest were each 19 when my two youngest were born. I have had both long and short hair over the years. Short suits me best in my old age.
I hope your sanding goes well today.
I am glad it is Friday. I need to shop for the weekend today because I am not going anywhere tomorrow. There is a concert in the park up my access road and traffic will be crippling. I think it is a country western concert. The main player is Keith Urban.

And I was wrong about the concert. It is not tomorrow, it's today. When I realized they were opening up at 9am I went back to town to collect Ted from school early. So he was only there for a couple of hours. Traffic was not too bad on the way back in. We are home for the weekend.

I do not know if I should be jealous that Tina is so close to so many concerts (I am sure she hears them) or if I should feel bad for her having to deal with all of that traffic.

Sunny--do not work too hard. and on the weather thing--I hear it is going to be a bad winter--and I imagine it will be bad in most places.

I do not hear them, thank goodness. Once in a while late at night, I can hear/feel some heavy base. But that is better than screaming guitars or voices. I can sleep through the base.
They are calling for a mild El Nino winter here and that doesn't always mean more rain. I can only hope they are wrong.

Got up early to make the pasta salad so it would chill nicely... will take ribs over to Carrie's in a while so Jon can cook them- then we'll put them in roaster over to keep hot... Teresa is going to go get my nephew and his girlfriend and the baby to bring them here... she will be making the guacamole ..all the rest is made now and I just have to fold laundry and get it put away and house will be ready... so far the sun is out and hopefully will dry out yard so kids can play outside... not really warm yet... think we will have an early fall here.. it's already snowed in mtns.
Well it's time to get breakfast done and get the tables and chairs out for the backyard.... it's almost party time!

Good morning. I have been up but began getting some stuff done around the house to beat the heat. We may be getting some decent rain as the outer bands of hurricane Norbert sweep in. I am looking forward to it.

We took a quick trip to check out the local Fall fair today, we didn't stay long though because we are under a severe thunderstorm warning once again.

It amazes me to see all what is for sale there...now if I only had the $$ to spend although I did treat myself to some cheesecake bites. Delicious.

Those do sound good, Sunny. I do not want to eat anything hot or warm today. If I had ice cream, I would be eating that. I'll stick to salads and sandwiches today.

Tina the party was end of summer... our Labor Day.. saying good luck and see you later to my grandson going into the army next week... and welcoming the new baby Zander to the family ... we had a lot of fun ,, the boys played baseball in the back yard... my daughter in law took lots of pictures of the new baby... I had made him a big floor blanket and they like it...so that was nice.... a good time was had by all!


The day started out foggy and dark but the sun came out and was mostly warm till sun went down... was a good day for our get together.... really enjoyed it...

Well I am worn out - going to finish watching Outlander and hit my pillows.... girls cleaned up the kitchen for me and Joe is doing the end of it... nice hubby I have...

Meanwhile it is a good day here. We will probably get rain tonight and it is much needed. Actually east of me already has rain so that is a good thing.

Thanks, Tina. I forgot to mention, Henry's homemade card ??? it was a butterfly made out if his feet. so he really did help make the card. Now to find a 5 inch square frame.

Well, it did not storm here. Just a few miles down the road it really poured with lightning and thunder and such. We have opportunities for more rain as well for the next couple of days. I hope it does, just not enough to wash my hillside away.

Well Tina , hope you have a nice gentle rain the next couple days... wish I could send you some... we have had lots lately... and its cooling off nights now- we will have snow fly soon , I too think winter will be cold and snowy for us...

We are eating leftovers tonit for dinner so don't have to do much... which is nice... am tired out from the party and will have school for boys tomorrow so have to be over there by 9 or so.. means early up for me... but boys are doing fairly well in school so won't complain to much... do think I should have a masters in elementary school subjects by now though...LOL!

Well off to read a while and then watch my tv show and go to bed...

nana, leftovers are great..but I have frozen Pizza on Sundays nights, well unless Rod is grilling fresh for us.

I am glad everyone had a good weekend, I have finished sanding all my cabinet bases and the doors need only one final hand sanding. My house is a mess.

Good morning. Although I have another hour or so I could sleep. I am watching lightning in the distance and it is pretty. I hope it doesn't spark any fires. All of the rains stayed slightly east and south of me here. I would enjoy a little of it.

Good morning. I am glad she could break free and go to school, Sunny. How was Sunny for all this? And how was grandgirl at the end of the day? Naps may return if you are lucky.
I don;t want frost here. But we could split some degrees a little. We are heading towards triple digits for the weekend. I need to stop at the store after I drop Ted at school. I will do some laundry before the heat gets higher too.
