Our gas is down to $2.95 now
Hope for a better price in a week. Business like to get the stuff off the shelves before the year end.. I know autos have to be sold or they have to pay something for keeping them each month.

Good afternoon. I paid a little more than a dollar less for my butter yesterday, Carol. And about the same for my fill-up in my tank on Thursday. I am grateful for these opportunities. I worry for our future. And why I stock up as much as I can while I can. Today was pretty laid back. Ted and I played some and put together puzzles. I picked up some stuff around the house and moved it where it was supposed to go. Dishes and other things got done. Trash got removed. Life is good.

If I remember my gas was $2.89 a gallon here today. I paid a bit less a few days ago when I filled up my tank. I will be trying to make it last until Friday as that is pay day. We shall see. I cleaned out 2 bedroom drawers tonight. I had hoped to get the contents of both drawers into one, so I could put linens into the newly emptied one--I had no such luck. I am now on my 3rd load of clothes. Tomorrow will be more cleaning and then after supper I will be baking my cakes for Thursday.

Well, time to myself is why I think I stay up at night. Even when I am putting clothes in & out of the washer, I have down time in between cycles. BUT thanks the good thoughts are appreciated.

Good morning...I had a good day yesterday. My Christmas shopping is finished and my deep freezer is full. A blessing on both counts.
Today I have to pick up grandbaby from her weekly sleepover with her mom then head off to meetings at the pre-school. Apparently there will be specialists there for everything to address any concerns or matters.
Hoping you all have a good day ahead.

Good Morning !!
I wish my Shopping was done. You are one lucky person, Sunny.
I like that all the specialist will be in one place, ready for you. THAT is wonderful. I hope it all goes well.
Sadly I have been awake since 5:30. I do not think that 5 hrs. sleep is going to get it today--oh well, I have done it before.
More cleaning and some baking will be on todays agenda .

Good morning. I am up way too early today. I will be napping later. Those kind of meetings are helpful when you need them, Sunny. There are a lot of them involved with special ed kids here. Those have been nice for Teddy and I. I hope everyone has good weather for their holiday plans. I am supposed to be about mid 70's today.

Happy Thanksgiving all, It's my usual doing as much ahead as I can day... one pie down and another almost ready to do.. House is done as much as it is going to be... it's nice having Joe here to be my running up and down stairs to bring stuff from basement storage area... It doesn't seem possible the baby is ready for preschool... but then I am having problems realizing our Timothy is going to be in high school next year... time sure does fly.... Well off to go make some lemon meringe pie... and brown onion and garlic , celery for the dressing.... then turkey will go in oven I think... Nana

You are cooking your turkey today, Nana? Good second morning here. Ted and I went out. I wanted cash from the bank and a few store items. I picked up 6 more pounds of butter for under $3 a pound to tuck into the freezer. I don't plan on going out before Sunday or Monday? I am going to make a cheesecake. And bake up some sweet potatoes for tomorrow. Not sure what else I'll dive into besides a nap today. My morning was way too early.

I was wondering about that too, Tina (the turkey being done today) I have Valarie's rom cleaned and the laundry done. I have the silverware cleaned & in there boxes (wrong word I know) all that is left in the kitchen is mopping the floor & that will be done tonight right before bed. This afternoon I will bake & make my cake & peel my potatoes. Tonight I will measure the ingredients for the potato casserole. and the pie. In the morning I will make the pie and then the potatoes. The cranberry salad is thawed. I am moving right along.

How will you keep your peeled potatoes until you cook them up tomorrow, Carol? If I ever peeled taters, they needed cooking very soon to keep them from browning/oxidizing.

After you peel & cut them, you just put them in a bowl or pot, then cover them with water & pop them in the fridge. when you want to cook them, just drain off the cold water, add fresh & boil as usual. I do it all the time. It saves so much time... I was frosting my cake to take & I ran out of boughten icing. So, when Rod came home, I had him take me to the grocery to buy some more. Well, it seems that the brand I bought Monday had 12 ounces of frosting where the one I usually buy has 16 ounces. Shows you how often I buy icing... I will not be buying that brand again, no matter how good it tastes. I guess I will make my pie later tonight so it can get cold. That will leave the potatoes for in the morning.

Good morning all. Happy Thanksgiving to all of you and your family We are having a snow storm at the moment...which I won't complain about because it is an excuse to stay home and finish making my meat pies. I cooked and mixed my meat last night. Just need to make my dough and fill and freeze.

Happy Thanksgiving to all. I am going to do some cooking today. But not be a slave to my kitchen either. It is going to be a lovely day up into the 80's. Then we are to drop over the weekend. I am looking forward to the promised rain.

Thanks for the well wishes everyone. Happy Thanksgiving to you all as well.
We just got home from seeing my MIL. We took pieces of an DD's house. They are going to bring their son to spend the nght with us. And no, I have no idea why they didn't just send him home with us. Although I think they may have trying to be helpful so we could go visit my MIL in peace.
I will be playing with Luke tonight then go to bed..so if I do not get back in
Good Night to everyone.
