I was grand until Grandma did not have a little light in the bedroom...Then when I got a night light, it was shining right in his eyes...mind you we did not have this problem last time he was here. Finally...he asked to go into the living room "just for a little bit" and so I took him we rocked & I sang until he went to sleep--then I took him to his bed & he said then that the light was fine & I could leave it alone---so the light that was once in his eyes was now "OK"...mind you he was right earlier, it was terribly bright for him....

I should go to bed soon, so I can get some sleep... why

Good morning...I hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving yesterday.

Too funny with little ones, they will use any excuse to stay up a little longer...guess it's time to buy dimmer night light grin

I got all my meat pies made yesterday and in the freezer then grandbaby and I made some lemon pies and started decorating for Christmas...after that we went out and shoveled the foot and a half of snow we got. It was a busy day.

Good morning. Sounds like you did have a busy day yesterday, Sunny. Now I want meat pies.
Black Friday shopping doesn't offer anything that is interesting to me. I have no interest in going out at all. Few of the cyber sales have much to offer to me, either. After the sun rises, I want to get up on my roof and clean the gutters for the coming rains. The leaves have not yet finished falling from our trees and they are clogged up again from the winds we have had.

Good Evening.
Rodney was especially happy with the cake. We took some of that to his mom & her roommate last night and they loved it as well.

I would LOVE to go out shopping today & this weekend, but I cannot drive well in heavy traffic and so I do not even think about going out this weekend anymore.

When we got back from taking Luke home, I had such a headache that I took 2 Tylenol and had a nap. When I woke up Rod was making us Pizza. That was so very nice of him. But now I wonder what it is that we will have for supper Sunday night ??? why

I think I will go to bed early tonight.

Tomorrow is the Dudley Thanksgiving. There is much to do for that.

Good morning...the sun is shining and it is cold out there. A good day to spend inside.

Have fun with your family Junie...take home leftovers for Sunday supper grin

Tina, I have not even thought about the cyber sales...I heard on the news this morning that Monday is supposed to be a special online shopping event.

Good morning. Keep warm, Sunny. Yes, the day is called Cyber Monday and I'll look around. There is not really much that I want out there though.
The rains predicted to begin tonight are holding off for a few days. Now it is Tuesday and Wednesday. I can feel it in my bones already though. We need the rain and the snow in the mountains. Every drop is a blessing.

Good Morning !!

My sister & her DH are sick. She said on FB that if she does not get to go to this Family Dinner tonight (because she is still sick) she is going to take to her bed & cry herself to sleep. I feel so sorry for her...but I have to wonder, who is going to make the lasagna. SHE was making & doing all of the preparation for this.

I am sneezy but I feel ok---DH says it is allergies. I sure hope so. But there is no temperature so I will not worry. But then I have heard that people can run temps with allergies, why

Off to finish the last of my cleaning & then I will decided when to make my salad..(I will put the dressing on at the dinner)

Happy "Dudley Thanksgiving" everyone !!

PS: This "Holiday" will always be the Saturday after Thanksgiving.... shewinks

All but the kitchen done now--bath taken & hair will be next.
Then I will put my salad together.

I hope you are having a great evening, Carol. And I hope your sister gets well quickly.
I made a couple of cheesecakes today. Did some bits of cleaning. I am getting ready to pop Teddy into the bath.

Evening all,

Have had a couple really busy days... was so tired today just vegged mostly... Thanksgiving was wondeful.. my son came alone- his boys were sick so his wife stayed home with them and cooked a dinner for all of them but he wanted to come see us so he ate 2 meals.... LOL! oldest dd and her hubby came, and my youngest brougth her kids after they visited with her hubby's family for a while, my nephew and his girlfriend and baby came too... and his sister whol lives in Vegas called and said they were in town to visit her inlaws and wanted to suprise her brother by just showing up the next day if we could get them back to our house... so we kind of insisted they come back for breakfast the next day... she wasn't to happy to do it but agreed.... my niece and her family got here first , my oldest dd went to pick him and his family up so we timed it so they would get her later.. they hid around the corner of my kitchen and suprised them when they came in- the look on her face was priceless! her own family are not the best people and she considers my nephews family hers now ... they are only 18 the two of them and just are trying to get thru school and make a better life for themselves and the baby... they are living with his loser father and stepmother who hates his kids but lets her kids do whatever they want.. they have 11 people living in their house... all her kids and only make her kids pay 400 a month rent and my newphew has to pay 540... he is trying to buy a car and even though he works part time and goes to school full time they call him lazy... if his school wasn't so far from here we would try and let them live here but would cost a small fortune to get them there.. they live about and hour north of us... anyway I made a big breakfast for everyone.. pancakes, sausage, eggs, toast, tortillas, fried potatos.. Carrie was able to come for awhile before she had to go to work and Timothy came with her... we all got to have a good visit too and took pics... my sis got to talk to them all too. it's a shame she hasn't see her grandson yet in person ... but they are talking about moving back her next summer so maybe they will end up all together eventually...

Well I am going to get some leftovers for dinner and then hit my pillows.. got one more load of laundry to get done and folded first...

Nana

Yes, Nana, what Tina said. Don't let yourself get run down.

That sure sounds like a lot of work & stuff on your plate. I hope everything goes well for you and yours.

Our family party was good. My sister, her DH and my brother were all sick, but the rest of us had a nice time for sure.

So who provided the lasagna? I am glad you had a good time. And you got in a little Henry time too? You need to get some rest also. I'll be heading to bed soon, myself.

My sister made it anyway & her DH (who was feeling a bit better than she was) Brought it over to his son's house. (which is where we had the party)
I don't know if that was the right thing to do, but hey, that is how it went.

yes I did. At first he did not want anything to do with me but he soon warmed up to me. They are spending the night here, so I will get some more Henry time tomorrow...

I am now going to bed...
Sweet Dreams everyone......

Good morning..everyone has been so busy haven't they? I am glad that the celebrations with family have gone pretty well.

We are having a small snow storm at the moment...big fluffy flakes, it looks so pretty.

DH surprised me with a new hand snowblower yesterday...and I love it grin

Hi all,,

Don't worry this Nana is taking it easy... may just vacuum and dust house up.. mop kitchen floor some- my great nephew played out in the snow ( the tiny bit we had left) and tracked footprints.. first time he got to play in snow...he had a ball... Joe will help.. though he is doing some yard stuff too before wind gets to bad...After that one of the grandsons will come over and help get our decorations upstairs...

I think I will get a snowblower for Joe for his Christmas present this year.. shoveling is hard on his back and I just don't do it unless he just can't ... to hard on my body anymore... thinking a hand held one too....

Well off to get more picking up done and head to my bath.. really lazy today- still in my jammies!

Have a good day all......!
Nana

I got the rain gutters cleared away. Glad it is done before the rains began. The rains were supposed to begin tomorrow but they gifted us a day early. Every drop is precious around here.
Still sounds like a lot of work you have planned, Nana.

Sounds like we ALL had busy but good happy days.
That is how the Holiday season should be...well to my notion anyway.

Valarie & Henry are home and safe.
They had planned on going to see a Christmas Parade tonight, but Henry (who has a cold) cried the last hour of their trip home.
They decided it was best to stay home so he (& they) can rest.

Good Morning !!

I am happy for your rain, Tina. I think we are to get some this week as well. It was supposed to rain last evening and it looked like it was going to either rain or snow, but it did neither, at least not that I saw.

December is upon us.
Let the countdown begin !!!

Any rain helps now. But we need bunches more of rain and snow to ease up on the drought. Our water resources are measured in great part by the snowpack in the mountains. This rain is getting drawn in from the south Pacific (pineapple express) so too warm to produce much snow.
But I need to get back on my roof today so I am glad it is giving us a drier day.

I am down from my roof. Jonni went up with me and helped me put up a tarp on the leaky part. I hope it helps. It took us about a half hour. I only have a ranch house and the roof is only peaked in the middle portion. The two wings of roof on each side are a very gently sloped, not quite flat. It is easy walking.
And in the back part it is a whole 6 ft ladder needed because my house is kind of sunken into the ground with a little cliff behind. Put the little ladder on the cliff and lean on the roof. right behind a tree and you can climb up and down easily with the tree for a backup or for hand hold. I keep that ladder propped there permanently. And another longer one on the other side of the house I have a longer ladder leading from a higher small cliff to the roof too. That one is at such an angle that you can walk up it like a ramp. So when I am walking around my house, I walk under 2 ladders. Living on a hillside calls for some interesting architectural and landscaping solutions.
Before that, I took Teddy to school, banked, shopped 2 stores and came home and put that away. I set up my monthly budget and paid some of my bills. Waiting on the electric bill still.
I'm tired already. Waking at 4 am is the pits sometimes.

well glad to hear the pitch thing is an safe (& sounds easy) thing. Also glad that Jonnie was there to help you.

You still had a busy day---good for you.

I agree there should be a law, no one that does not HAVE to get up at that time should be able to do so. You have my sympathies. kissie

Oh, I am very glad I got up at 4. My bladder wouldn't have lasted another hour plus. winky I should have gone back to bed right away instead of sitting at my computer.
Teddy is home from school. He is tired too. He will mess around with his iPad and I will nap. It sounds like a lovely plan to me.

OH my, you get up and stay up??
I would be in serious trouble indeed if I did that. I get up anywhere from 1 to 3 times a night, even with going to bed between 11 & 12....BUT I go right back to sleep.

Enjoy your nap.

I took a good nap this afternoon. So I am good to go. Yea, normally when I do a bathroom run in the night I can go back to sleep easily. But sometimes, I wake up too much. That was today.
It was a very good day though.

Me too Tina. That is one reason why I stay up so late. IF I go to sleep say at 9 or 10, then wake at 3 to use the potty, I am awake for the day...That is NOT a good thing...

Out of the bath, and in my jammies... hifive

I am ready for my bed as well. I try to go to bed at 9 pm. I set my alarm for 5:30 so that would be 8 1/2 hours sleeping if I stuck in bed until then. I rarely do, though. I like to plan my alone time for the mornings. I am at my best before noon.

Good morning. I decided not to take Ted to school today. Getting him there would probably not be a problem. But the rains are supposed to be flooding by afternoon and it could be difficult getting us home again. It is just Teddy and I at home today. I hope the rest of my kids stay safe in the coming storms.
I am going to toss something into the crockpot for my dinner and a couple more meals later.

Good afternoon.

A leaky roof is an awful thing to deal with, we made a quick repair to ours this Fall but need a whole new roof next year. I feel your pain Tina.

Hope you had fun at ceramics Junie.

It is supposed to storm tomorrow...I plan on staying in and baking.

Yes, I am sure I will need a whole roof in the next couple of years.
I didn't cook a turkey for Thanksgiving. So I saw a couple of turkey thighs in a package at the store yesterday. I roasted those in the crock today and I just had a hot turkey sandwich. My very favorite leftover turkey dish. I made gravy from some of the pan drippings and the rest is back in the crock with the bones and skin for broth. I will package and freeze some for future treats.
I do wish they had more than one package. I will keep looking for them between now and Christmas. I love the dark meat best and these are not often available.
Keep safe, Sunny.

OH MY, new roofs...I do not want to think of such things....
I am so sorry for the both of you.

I had a good time today at ceramics. I even brought some things home to work on. As one of the ladies said today--"We sure have fun here" and she is SO right.

Thanks ladies, for your kind words..

I am off to get a haircut tonight.
Sad news is I do not feel so well...
...and I am watching my youngest Grandson the next 2 days.

I hope you are not coming down with something, Carol.
I took another good nap this afternoon. I am dying to hear the news but have to wait another half hour. I want to see how the rains are doing all over my area.

Tina, do you still have to clean out the smoke stacks? Seems I remember you used to do that often.

Juniegirl, Colt has been with me since Sunday and is here until Thursday. I've decided I'm too old for this. 2 days is about all I can take anymore.

We had Luke (2 yrs. old) here for a bit under 24 hours & I thought that was going to do me in....It is a good thing that raising kids is usually done by younger people than we are, huh ???

Tina, I wonder if I am getting sick too...I sure hope not....IF I do get sick that will put Emily in a real bind....

I still clean smoke stacks religiously. But I have not yet lit a fire this season. My house is cool but not freezing. I bundle up to keep warm if need be. Ted's room is kept warm with an oil type space heater and the dryer is not too far away. His room is pretty comfortable.
Keep well, Carol. But take care of yourself whatever the circumstances.

Juniegirl, what would our children do if we weren't here to take care of the grans? I never asked my mother to take care of the girls. She took care of Shelley once or twice and never Ginger. If you weren't close by what would Emily do? I'm not complaining just wondering because sometimes Shelley calls me and says she doesn't know what else to do so can I pick up her children from school or such.

Still take care of yourself too, Carol.
Good morning. It is still raining. Our roads did not flood in the usual places so much. They have road construction going on nearby and that is where the roads are flooded. And the roads flooded there instead of the drainage ditches designed to handle the hillside runoff. We got about 8 inches of rain.
I guess Ted and I will stay home again today.

Yup, same here...I might have asked my mom a handful of times to babysit and I paid her as well.

Now I am raising my grandgirl and DD just announced she is pregnant again...yup, when it rains it pours.

I do hope you fair out o.k. Tina, feast or famine isn't it? I seen on the news today that there was snow somewhere in California as well.

Take care Junie, it's a nasty time of year to be sick.

Snowing out at the moment with a chance of freezing rain later in the day. All events and schools were cancelled today.

Yes, there is snow up north in the mountains. Because we, in the south, drug some tropical stuff into our storms, it was too warm for snow below 8k ft above sea level. I am about 2k+. Our mountains are not snowy yet.
We got quite a bit of rain. It will take many such more storms to make up for our drought situation though.
My mother never babysat for me. But she did come and borrow my children one at a time for some road trips. She said my kids were great traveling companions.

My mother baby sat for me probably 4 times if you figure in both kids. She said she was too nervous to do so. She did not watch my sister's kids much either...BUT when my brother had kids---she had them all.the.time. And loved it.
Apparently she was ready to be a grandmother then... why

MY MIL watched my kids when I needed someone & My sister's MIL watched hers if she needed someone.

My youngest DD lives the closest to me (20 miles one way, thru a few towns & cities.) and I love my grandkids & am happy to help her, but really, when she KNOWS she is going to need someone it would be courteous of her to let me know ASAP...& she does not.

I hope to take care of myself--and I agree this is NO time of year to be sick. nono

Another Grandchild, Sunny ?.....I do not know if I should he happy for you or sad. They are little dears though....

The weather...ugh...tomorrow it is supposed to ice. By the time they call off school, I will have to be on my way to Emily's house--oh Lordy....

But you are home for the day now, Carol?
I have gone out and collected my mail. And paid my bills. So grateful that I am able to pay them. Especially when bigger ones are due like taxes and insurance.
It looks like the weather will clear and the roads so I will be able to get Ted to school and such the rest of the week.

Sunny, is this DD the mother of the child you are raising? We have friends who are raising an 8 year old grand son and their daughter, his mom, had another baby 9 or 10 months ago and it's looking as if this child will end up living with them too. We have several friends who are raising their grand children and it's just about done one of them in. Her second husband left her after the baby came to live with them. He said the baby wasn't the reason but she said she was totally blindsided by him leaving and things did appear ok to outsiders until they had to be up in the night for feedings and crying and such. Maybe he's a big baby himself and couldn't take not being the center of attention or maybe he just didn't want to be tied down in his old age. Another couple has raised one grand child who is 16 now but when more babies came along she raised them herself. go figure.

Sadly yes...but I gave her her warning and the father of this one as well. It is their responsibility..not mine.

Freezing rain here...I'd rather snow. I just know I'll soon lose power.

No ice here thank goodness. Yesterday was 70.

If you have a toddler buy him a Fisher Price Batcave. We have played with this one game all day long. It's interactive with my iphone. He loves it and so do I.

So how is it interactive, Sheri? I just ran to look it up on Amazon and it looks like there are a bunch of different components you can add. If it interacts with your iPhone somehow, I'm assuming it will interact with Ted's iPad too. Sounds like a good Teddy toy to me.

Cold is better, but still a cold. Wish I could take some Sudafed...

I ordered an interactive bear like that as a gift for a friend...apparently you put the phone in it and it locks then an App creates different activities...I ordered it at Walmart.

Our freezing rain got covered with some wet snow thankfully....another day of pre-school and errands.

Good morning. You folks stay safe on your icy roads.
Sleeping every other day is not such a bad schedule to work around, Carol.
I read up more info on that toy and it works with an iPhone or iPod but not an iPad. It still looks like something Teddy would like, maybe. He is so difficult to shop for.
We had a downpour last night. It will be interesting to see what the roads all look like today.

Well, the only thing icy was the apron of my driveway. Thank goodness. But everyone was driving slowly, so that was nice to see.

Emily tells me she is going to "try" for next Wednesday to be her last day. We shall see.

Tomorrow I am going with my sister to a check-up apt. she has with one of her Drs.

Going to bed soon---

Good morning. Waiting to see the weather forecast roll around. I think more rain is due in the long range.
Ted has a field trip with his class today to watch the Nutcracker. I plan on shopping for the weekend. And we will get some of the storm damage taken care of outside.

Tina, I downloaded the free Batman app on my iphone and when you turn that app on it tells you what to do. It has a matching game, video, you hold the phone over a few emblems on the toy itself and the joker or batman will appear and tell you what's going on in the bat cave. The joker may be hiding in there and you have to tap him to make him leave, or pies are thrown and you have to tap them to stop them - all sorts of fun stuff. He played with it nonstop.

Gas is $2.69 here today.

I paid $2.89 for gas today. It has been years since it has been under $3 here.
Sheri, the description said it works with iPhone or iPod. but not an iPad. That is what Teddy has. I will still keep a watch out for it.

well I am home. It was a long day at the Drs. My sister & I were eating lunch first at about 1:30. Her apt was supposed to be at 10:45 but you know how that goes. Then we went to the grocery & to Wal-mart. I got home at 5pm.

While out I got a call from the nursing home and my MIL had fallen & gashed her head. The ambulance (yea an ambulance--) rolz was supposed to take her "ACROSS THE ROAD" to the hospital there to get stiches.
BUT they take her to another hospital about 30 miles away instead...can you say "more money ???"

and this was at 2 pm today (at the latest) she is still there now----Rod is on the phone now trying to find out something... rolz

Rod spoke to the nurse at the hospital twice. They were sending her back to the Nursing home here in a bit. Rod (& maybe me) are going there in a bit...

she is fine..all but they needed to give her a few stitches.

Oh my...I hope your MIL is alright. Stitches are bad but it could have been worse.

We had a busy day today, errands with DH then we took grandgirl to cut our Christmas tree.

We are leaving here in a few moments to see her, so Rod will know.

OH Goody, you got a real tree--that is so much fun...I am sure your Grand-girl was thrilled. Little ones make the holidays so much better. You are blessed indeed.

Poor Rod is going to miss his bedtime. I bet your MIL is hungry too. Will the nursing home have something for her too eat off regular hours?

Yep you are right, Tina--but hey, it is Friday night, so it is all good...I think there will be a popcorn party as well...

Marie was doing well. She said she did not want everyone worrying about her, that she was fine and she was the one to worry about everyone else.

They super glued her forehead right above her eyebrow. about 3 & 1/4 CM.

and as far as I know she had lunch but not supper or snack. She was in bed when we got there to see her. Wide awake, but in bed...

I tend to think that anyone stuck for more than 3 hours in an ER needs to be offered a cup of soup and a cracker packet. Especially the elderly and young. It is unkind unless there is some physical problem where they should not eat.
I took such a heavy nap today that I will probably be up a little late.

I totally agree, Tina, but it seems that Marie does not always eat supper. she says they feed them too much there, so she just does not want 3 meals a day. Usually she eats breakfast and then either lunch or supper.

Good morning. This is a laundry and cleaning day. We have a possibility of a little more rain. I am torn between wanting the wet and needing some sunshine. But I guess the sun will shine the rest of this week until next weekend.

Good Morning.

Today is a clean church day. The bad news there is that Rod will want to hurry up & get it done.

I am still coughing and I have a new symptom now---I have a sinus headache. I hope it drains sooner rather than later...

Feel better soon Junie....enjoy your rain Tina.

We were supposed to get snow today but are getting freezing rain again.

Grandgirl and I put up the tree..she had so much fun. She also took my mom's star tree topper since apparently angels are not allowed up on our tree lol

Yes Little ones are ever so much fun. I agree.
Tell your Granddaughter that she can come by & put up MY tree. (someone should) But she should be fore warned...we DO allow angel toppers on the trees in this house...

I hate this computer----for some reason when You go over to hit either the 'caps lock' or the 'shift' button it deletes the sentence or paragraph that the last word was by. great....NOT.....

Today while we were out Rod & I picked up Beowulf for a "vacation". Luke was asleep but hey, we got to see Micah.

We have a star on our tree. Colt calls it a snowflake and it does look like a snowflake. He's smarter than I am.

Junie, sometimes I hit something and what I've written gets deleted too. I can't figure out what I've hit.

Hi all,

We have had a long week , Carrie's kids all got sick... some kind of virus... so of course sleeping schedules got messed up again... they feel better now but are still sleeping days... hopefully they get back on track today- they hve a cousins birthday party to go to today...
I am going to go get my hair cut in a few minutes.. it's been long for a while now and I am tired of it so thinking of going short again... maybe even adding some highlights... my Christmas present to myself...

We have had pretty nice weather the last few days been warm enough days to go without a jacket... today its cloudy though and a little cooler outside... strange weather for December here...

Well better go finish getting ready to go and get moving- Joe is dropping me off and Carrie is bringing me home... she got her hair done yesterday, had almost a foot cut off . and styled and highlighted too... that was my present to her for Christmas... she looks so nice .. hope mine turns out as well..

Well better get moving, have a good day all!

Nana

Gracious, sick children are the pits....and sick grandchildren are worse yet. Poor babies.

I am proud of you for treating yourself. I so wish I would just go ahead & spend the money to have mine done--I have wanted to for years. But now, my hairdresser is at a new much more expensive place and I just cannot make myself do that...

Well I spoke to soon... Derek now has what Timba had, Carrie had to go home early to take care of him... just wanted Mom ... sick grands are the pits.. feel so helpless..

I did have my hair done to my satisfaction.. it's just touching my shoulders now- and kind of curled under, she put layers in so it has some body too.... I ususally just went to a chain that mostly just trims - nothing fancy but Carrie got me to go to the shop next to her store- they gave me a discount so that helped too... even Joe admitted it looks better... it was more money than I usually spend but just decided it was time....and she gives free bang trims so that helps , much better than me chopping st them....LOL!

Well off to do the last of the laundry...

Nana

Good freezing morning everyone...I am so glad that I do not have to go outside today, brrr.

Glad you got to treat yourself Nana...hope the kids feel better soon.

Bestofour, want to send me your tree top...I don't like the one on my tree at all. If I get to go somewhere before Xmas maybe I'll treat myself to a nicer star.

I'll send grandgirl to help you all....prepare for Miss Hurricane to arrive haha

I am glad you can stick inside today as well, Sunny. I wish I could send you a bubble of my warm to surround you.

Good Morning,

Well we have an angel on our tree.. she has been our topper for years now...

Haven't heard how boys are today- hope they are all feeling better, the good news is whatever Nicoli had didn't send him into a cycle ... Carrie said he was so happy to just be sick and not cycle- so hoping he may be growing out of this.. he wants to go back to school so much... he is a social kid and misses it a lot..

Our weather is nice today- no clouds and supposed to be warm.. may go out today and get some of the shopping done- have to do transformers and leggos for twins... rest of kids get cash this year...

I have to do beds and towels today too... and vacuum and sweep floors... got a stew ready for crockpot too.. easy dinner .. will make some rolls to go with and call it done... got some bills to pay and that will be most of my day... tomorrow if boys are better will be school time with Nicoli and Derek and I have a couple experiments to do for his science class... something to do with warm and cold water and food coloring...

Well off to get breakfast made and day started .... have a nice day all!

Nana

Thank you, Dodge. We did eat.
I could not settle on something to cook to extend a couple of meals. So we ended up with baked mac n cheese with ham, carrots and peas and a fruit salad. quick, easy and warming.
We are all clean and shiny and ready for the week ahead.

Good morning...it is so cold out there today. DH plugged in my car, thankfully they have block heaters...they'd never start without them.

They were calling for a snow storm Tuesday and Wednesday...now it is changed to freezing rain. Such strange weather this year.

Good morning. I guess I am up an hour early today. I may just be napping later.
I am so sorry you have such cold weather. Sunny. Do you have a garage for your vehicles? Freezing rain is not good.
We are to have a cold rain about Friday. I may be lighting up my stove this week.

More rain Tina. Seems like you've had more than usual lately.

Sunflower, I can't imagine living in a place so cold that you have to plug in your car. If my car needed plugging in I think I'd have to stay under my plugged in electric blanket all day.

I watched the weather report this morning, and I thought it looked like most, if not all, of California was going to get rain, & LOTS of it. I thought right away about Tina. I just hope it is above freezing rain...

Went with DH to his eye DRs. apt this morning. Now I am going to my MIL's & the re-sell-it shop.

Yes, they are calling for about 5 inches Thurs-Fri. With snow in the mountains. That will be good for us.
We have a lot to go before the drought is over though. Much, much more.

The rain does help with wildfires. The brown ground is filling with green. Our winters are much like spring elsewhere.
One school day is done and I'm trying to decide dinner again.

well at least your winters are not harsh.

All during winter I wonder why it is I live in the mid-west.

I just balanced my checkbook, in preparation for going Christmas shopping on Thursday. I guess I had better get at that, huh ???

I am soon off to bed.
