I didn't go back to sleep this morning. I put together a lasagna instead. Then I took Teddy to school.

Do it, Carole. A salad and some rolls or garlic bread and dinner is served (a couple of nights). I've got my fridge cleaned out. I'm going to go to the grogery store and then pick up Ted from school.

Hi , Just checking in for a few minutes... Carrie was back in ER.. day before yesterday- for 6 hours till they could get enough meds in her to stop the severe pain she was in.. evidently another thing they didn't bother telling her in the hospital was to take pain meds and an anti spasm med before taking out the stent... they never gave her the anti spasm stuff-.. Joe had to drive 20 miles to the docs office to get it and then back to our house by then she was in so much pain we just took her and the medical records we had to the ER... this was after I talked to the PA in the surgeons office and she said oh it wouldn't be necessary to go to the ER the pain meds she couldn't even keep down by that time would take care of it... well no it wouldn't.. so we went... the ER doc was surprised first they had her take it out... second that they didn't give her any instructions or meds to deal with it.... they did another cat scan... found she has another kidney stone to pass.. smaller and passable but causing spasms now ... they have her morphine and valium before she could rest and be out of pain... double doses of the morphine... twice... she was high as a kite but out of pain at least when we got her home hours later... at least it hasn't caused an infection.. she is on antibiotics just in case ... they gave us more pain meds for her... and more anti spasm meds... yesterday it worked for her pretty well and she rested.. today the morphine didn't work so we tried the oxy and it worked for her... the pain causes nausea- then she can't eat or drink- vicious circle... we finally tried a milk shake and she got some of that down and the pills worked - she was sleeping when I left today when Jon got home... I will go back in the morning to stay with her again... she can't be on these drugs and be alone ...

Well I am going to take a nice warm bath and watch tv for a while and hit my pillows... it's been a long day..

Nana

Oh dear. I hope Carrie gets relief and rest soon.

I fixed the stir fry and it's good. Good for me. :)

I'd like lasagna too. Johnny won't eat it though.

Good morning.

Praying Carrie gets some pain relief soon and passes her stones. It must be terrible to have to see her in that situation.

Not much planned for today...laundry and such.

So sorry for all of Carrie's problems. Prayers for her.
Good morning. I am happy to see Friday roll around. I'll get Teddy to school and shop for the weekend needs. I think I will wrap up the lasagna for the freezer and start something new for tonight's dinner.

Hi, everyone.

I just got back in from eating supper.

Cindy, you need to go and Yell at some DR. or another...you should be feeling better by now..

I am tired, but I dare not go to bed yet, or else I will be doing an early morning walk thru at around 3 am. And then I would be staying up until Saturday night at bed time. egad

No kidding. Two doctors and several weeks now. I have to get over this before I end up in the hospital.

Good morning.

Sending prayers for you Cindy kissie

We are supposed to get some snow tonight...we could use it if it is going to be wet enough to stick to the ice. We usually have a little freezing rain storm in January but we've had a few too many.

My water froze at the barn also, thankfully we are down to two horses. I'd hate to have to carry more than a 5 gallon bucket at a time up there.

o.k. I'm done complaining lol

Dodge...we have a small sleigh but it is still a pain because I have to haul it 3 acres back. I do have an ATV but it is too cold for it to start.

Just got home from a grocery run...the snow has started to fall.

Good morning all, the snow has fallen and today is an outdoor clean up day....the good thing is that DH is home to do it. lol

Dodge, we gave the farm house to the youngest sister as we had already built on the front piece of property...so the barn is next to the farmhouse 3 acres back.

I'm thinking that Tina sent me her wind...it is chilly out there.

Nope. I've still got my wind. It has backed off to only about 70 mph wind gusts, though.

Must be the week for wind.. it was windy yesterday here... couldn't figure out what I was hearing as I mostly just sat in my chair and tried to rest... and my curtains were closed... finally realized what it was.... today so far seems nice.. sun is out melting leftover snow ... so hope we stay warm for a while now.... come on spring!

I am finishing up laundry and then will go start some breakfast for us.. have to clean up my house some.. have company coming at 1 or so... my ex son in law and his new wife and half bros to my grandson are coming here to meet my new great grandson... my grandson got his leave so he could meet him and they are bringing him over here so I can meet him too and his dad is coming here too... and my dd is coming too... should be interesting time.... hoping Carrie had a good night and she can come too but don't know yet... she had a good day yesterday- first day she didn't need pain meds all day so we are hoping it passed and she is on the mend now... it's been a rough week for her....

Hopefully can get restarted on my getting rid of stuff this week.. did get a bag of stuff out of my closet and drawers .. need to start on hubbys stuff now too and my office... get him started on basement.... if Carrie is okay now would be really good time.. she is off work till Wed so won't have boys to watch.... we shall see..

Well off to make something to eat.. get my laundry finished up and then get the dusting and vacumming done... always something to do it seems...

Nana

Yes Dodge, the farm was given to him when his father passed.

Tina, that's quite the wind...is it still dry there as well?

Hope you and your family gets some rest Nana.

I have been baking bread and cinnamon buns and such...may as well fill the freezer when I have a day to myself.

Yes, you can freeze cheesecake for awhile. It is best to freeze wrapped in individual pieces and eat as soon as possible to avoid freezer burn.

I like the idea of "having to eat up the frozen cheesecake to keep it from getting freezer burn" what a wonderful idea...

thanks for all the well wishes for Carrie... she actually came to the house today to see her new grandnephew.. she left after a few minutes, she was worn out ... but no pain meds for 24 hours so we think it either passed or got stuck... hopefully passed...

Little Caiden is so cute.. he seems so very little ... but he is over 7 lbs now and was 6lbs 14 oz when he was born- 10 days old today... he looks just like his Daddy too...

I am going to stay home tomorrow and try to start cleaning up my office... getting rid of some stuff and put rest in some kind of order...
got to get my tax stuff ready too... waiting on some more documents....

Well it is dinner time and early to bed for me... tomorrow its supposed to be 69* and windy- so we will open up the house and air it out... that will be nice.... have a good evening all!

Nana
