About property taxes...I think I would be Ok if it were not for them....Luckily I do not have to think of mine for a few months yet---& then they will be due in the summer/fall.

Our property taxes are broken into two, half in Nov and the second half in Apr. I don't know why but it is a reasonable time.
I stopped and filled my tank on the way home. And picked up some ice cream for Jonni. Now to get some house-y things done.

It is snowing very hard just now. I do so hope it stops.

When will it ever learn to NOT snow on the roads & sidewalks ???

I am home today. Between the icy roads brought on by the snow & my sore throat, Emily said that I should just stay home. So, I have an extra day here....YAY.
So far I have taken out the mail, & redid the living room decorations for Valentine's Day. When I go back out to get the mail, I will change the garden flag & That will be done.

Today I will do some laundry, make Rod a cake, & clean the bathroom & such so it will be ready in case Valarie & Henry spend the night on Saturday. Here is hoping they do !!

I napped today. I feel better. I hope you get to see your grandson again. Is it Rod's Birthday?

No seeing Luke today....the weather was bad this morning & I do not drive on icy roads...Rod would have taken me before he went to work, but I had a sore throat & Emily thought I should stay home.

Nope, Rod's B-day is on October.

Rod loves his desserts and he was out of ice cream (his go to for dessert) so I told him I would make him a cake...
Note: There was a time when I had a cake on the bar for him 7 days a week. Those days are gone now....

Ah, yes. You said you were baking a cake for him and expected Valarie and Henry. I thought maybe...

It just so happens that Rod & Valarie have an appt. on the same day, 30 minutes apart at the same dentist's office. So, while I know we will see her, I am just hopeful that she will stay the day & night. A Mom can hope after all.

Errands and appt's are done...and the engine light has come on in my car. It's always something isn't it?

Good morning. I slept well last night and am ready to face a day of school and shopping, etc.

Gracious...I am sorry that the light is on. Rod had the same thing happen last week. Luckily it was nothing to worry about, but he did go to Auto zone & have them plug in his truck to have it checked. I think it was something about emissions, and we do not have to worry about that here---YET.

Today it is errands for me. I will enjoy my coffee first, though.

Emissions are a big thing in Ca.
I took Teddy to school and stopped to shop. I have to go back when I pick him up and go to a store that is not open early. Then I will be done for the weekend.

Yes, I know. It is in Missouri as well. I think the time is a coming, but for now, Rod will not fix anything he does not have to...

Emissions are a big thing here too... at least in our county.. some counties don't have to do it yet... had his old truck fixed yesterday and he is driving it so break in the new catalytic converter so it will pass.. he will take it in next week for the emission test and that will be done...

Carrie went back to doc yesterday.. they did an x-ray.. shows she has more stones but they are tiny- none that show up that should be causing pain she has... there is something that shows up he couldn't figure out and no lab results show infection , but he put her back on antibiotics, and the Flomax to make it easier to pee... more painkillers ... and anti- nausea meds... and orders to go back in a week for another xray and maybe cat scan... kid is going to glow in the dark at his rate... her work agreed to put her on sick pay for another week with another available if she needs it... then it would be short term disability after that- hopefully they will figure this out and fix it before that is necessary... went over this morning and helped her clean up some... did school with boys for a while too... she is just so tired of hurting I feel so bad for her...

I think we are going to do a stir fry for dinner tonit..easy and quick... I spent some time doing office again today too... slowly getting to where I want it...and got all tax stuff ready too I think... hopefully .. need to call for an appt soon... not looking fwd to it at all.... just hoping we don't end up paying this year..

I am glad Carrie is taking it further. I cannot imagine the pain involved.
I am glad you got your taxes in order. I did Jonni's a week ago Thurs and the federal came in today. That was a pleasant surprise.

I sure hope that Carrie gets to the bottom of her pain soon.

We finally have all of our tax papers. Now to call Monday for an appointment.


Today was beautiful, and tomorrow promises to be better..(like around 61*F. ) But then it will slowly get back down to cooler temps once again. But hey, I will take what I can get, when I can get it.
