Dodge: My chicken soup is in the freezer in serving sized containers... shewinks but yes, you are right about the sharing thing. Emily was hoping that MY cold was from Luke, so that I would not be sharing a new strain with him last night.

Thanks Tina..and don't you work too hard.
I LOVE ground beef stroganoff. It is good and easy.

Good morning. I changed my clocks last night and went to bed. Now I feel like I am back to "my time". The only thing bad about it is that I will be driving into the sunrise every morning for awhile.
Today will be getting ready for school. The usual things plus some cooking. I like Sundays.

yea, I know--I prefer this time schedule, but it does make some things hard. Be safe, Tina.

I like this time too but I'd rather we just leave it alone which ever way.

I laid out of church today just because. I'm sure Johnny is praying for me and my sinful ways. :)

Carol hope you don't get a cold. Dodge is so right. If one of the grans has a cold I end up with it too.

All of my laundry is done. And folded and put away. I've remade the beds. Moving right along to the next thing.
I've decided not to cook anything. I have plenty of leftovers and we need to get those out of the fridge before I put any more in there. I guess my youngest daughter came home with a pizza last night after I went to bed. So it will be a leftover night tonight and all day.

It was left-over day here yesterday, which worked out well as I did not feel up to cooking.
Rod went to see his Mom & brought me breakfast & an extra coffee.

He is grilling supper out tonight (he keeps saying this afternoon why ). he thought I should cook something "to go with the meat", well nope--not on a Sunday & definitely not when I am not feeling well....So now he is also grilling a few baked potatoes.

I can see his confusion---I am having to wash clothes today.
He was out of white socks...(her has 8 pair) I could of sworn I washed all of his underwear on Thursday...oh well, the drawer was empty, with him wearing his last clean pair of socks. So, I decided to wash all of his work clothes so as to start the work week right.

I like lots of socks an lots of underwear.

Walmart had a sale today.
I got 2 tops for $3. and one for $5........not bad at all........

I buy lots of socks for Teddy and myself too. I dislike the whites turning gray when washed with other colors. I don't seem to be able to collect enough to do a load every week. So I buy a bunch and do them every couple of weeks. I have a couple of packs of new ones for each of us set aside too. Never have too many socks.
I'm going to get Teddy in the bath in a bit.

You don't need any socks where you live.
I never wear them spring thru fall.. Was so cold I wore some to bed this winter.

I am like Dodge. I wear them in the winter but not late spring , summer & early fall. BUT, you guys are right--I need to buy Rod more socks. Aside from him needing more so he doe snot run out so quickly, they make them cheaper than they used to... And I have been buying the same brand for almost 36 years now, so I would know.

There is still snow on patches of the ground here, but I guess I need to go out tomorrow & clear off the leaves so my crocus can come up, huh ???

We still have our 2 foot of snow.
Do you or anyone wear panty hose?
Telephone lady told me she wears them in the winter an they keep her warm out there holding up stop signs..........?? I aren't a fan of them.
Last year when my brother died I slipped on a pair before Christmas in a huge snow storm.
I didn't look at what size I got an here half way thru the funeral they were falling down.
By time we got back to the house I run into the bathroom an took them off an threw them in the trash can.. it was xxl or something . I probably wear medium..
It was crazy holding up the the hose thru a funeral.

Yes I do wear Pantyhose, barb. There is a gauge on the back of the box that tells one what size to wear.

I am feeling better, thank goodness.

Goodnight everyone...sweet dreams.

Good morning. I am ready for this time change. But I may get some darker sunglasses for driving into the sunrise in the mornings.
I hope you get well quickly, Sunny. It is the pits to be sick.

Sunny: Glad you were feeling well enough to drop in. Please take care.

Barb: I wear hose in summer or winter. Thing is, I do not wear dresses much. To be honest, mainly just to funerals or say weddings. BUT having said that, I always have a taupe and then a black colored pair on hand, at the ready so to speak.

and oh, I have 3 different colors of knee highs on hand too. I will only go bear legged in sandals.

Tina: I always keep at least 1 pair of sunglasses in the car, I think in that way I am always prepared for the sun.

Good morning, Carole. I wear sunglasses every time I step out my door. I meant much stronger ones for that morning thing.
I am off to pack up Teddy's lunch and get out the door.

It seems it is always something doesn't it, Barb. I hope that is does not end up being too costly of a fix for you. But yes, I agree, to be w/o water is not a good feeling.

Oh, I hope you can get the water fixed soon, Barb.
I stopped to shop on my way home. I only needed bread and tea. But I like checking out any specials that they have. I have put together more peanut butter and graham crackers for Teddy's lunches. I did the dishes that seem to grow in the middle of the night. And I've got laundry started. Oh, and I ate breakfast.
Now I'm going to see what other trouble I can get into.

Thanks carol an tina,

This one guy is very good an doing the job of a machine. However it wont be cheap, but will be cheaper than paying a water bill monthly..
I guess you 2 get city water? I do have a tap here in my yard, but didn't connect to it. They had to cross my cow pasture to give others service so I got the tap free. But don't want to use it. I hate chlorinated water.

No, I don't have city water. I'm on a well that is stuck into a mountain behind me. It is gravity fed which means I don't have great pressure but I do have continuous water. The cost is about $200 a year from the federal government. I am content with that as long as it lasts. The drought could change things eventually. But meantime, the water and rates have not changed for over 40 years.
I am home and ready for a nap. It is national take a nap day, after all.

2 of my friends back here have gravity flow.
Some days it is scant.

Today we put a new submersible pump in .Wow I am glad. We could hear the water gurgling down there it was at 60 feet .. Put he well pump into 112 feet.
What a relief.

Good morning all.

Sorry about the cost of a new pump Dodge, those are expensive. We have our own well with the same pump set up.

I swear if this flu doesn't leave soon I am going to break. I seem to be getting worse instead of better.

They are around $400. for the pump alone.. However the pipes an rope an wiring an labor.
I am assuming around $1500.

Still cheaper than bring a fellow in with a machine an he wanted to drench the well an I don't need that.. We could hear the water running down there when we opened it .. Water at 60 feet there.

But we cant live without it .. I do have a tap for city water here but wont use it an pay a monthly fee.......... Not good drinkin water with chlorine.

Barb....If you NEED to use the city water, pour yourself a picture (or clean bucket) full and let it sit for several hours-----24 is advised as best. The chlorine will dissipate and you will be good to go. Then put the picture of water in for Refrigerator.

Sunny---I am thinking you need to take the day off & just lie in bed, so you can hopefully get over this Flu. spring cannot get here soon enough, we none of us are feeling up to par.

Good morning. I am soon off to ceramics

I cleaned a "bag" Easter Bunny...I have 2 little boy bags & need one more. They are small & will sit on my mantel for Easter season. I am also "still" painting 3 snowmen for my niece. There are 4 to a set and I have one done & 2 painted, all but their faces. They are taking forever because The red I am using needs at least 4 coats.

Next week I intend to clean 2 snowmen napkin rings and a gingerbread man. Then I will go back to finishing my niece's snowmen. As they were not ready for Christmas, I figure they should be done at least by her Birthday. That is the end of May.
