LOL
Well, I was really referring to Target's poor policy on supplying their online customers, not so much just with potties.

I am off to a meeting with TPTB where my MIL stays.
Then I will visit my MIL.

AGAIN !!! I HATE THIS COMPUTER !!!!!
I NEVER had this problem with the desk top computer.

I had a lovely time with my MIL. She was in good form.
'I brought the April Birthday cards (there are 6 birthdays & our Anniversary this month) with me & she signed them all & did an excellent job.

She even told me to buy her some stamps.

Going to say goodnight now, as the rain just began so the storms are soon to follow.

Good morning. I plan on going to the bank after dropping Ted at school. And then shopping for the weekend. It will be a quiet weekend here.
I hope everyone has a Good Friday.

Well, my plans have changed a little. Teddy has a fever. So I will go out a little later, alone and get my weekend things done. I am glad Jonni is here to watch him.

Teddy is better. It appears to be a passing thing.
I ran and did my errands. And I'm having a salad for lunch. I'm thinking a nap now.

Just got back from my errands & grocery shopping.

Anybody have an extra refrigerator that they want to bring over to me & let me borrow ?? My fridge is stuffed & I have deviled eggs to make & a mashed potato casserole to make & put in there yet...I knew my DH was mistaken when he told me we did not "need" a second fridge out in the garage...SMH

I have a second fridge. It makes me wonder how my mother did it with just one when we were kids.
A nap didn't happen. So I figure dinner will.

My Mom had a second fridge in the later years.
Many people I know do.
I cannot see how people do it without. Esp. when I have to. When my daughter got married the first time, if it had not of been for my friend & her TWO extra ones, we would have had to throw out a lot of food. And then, we would have been scrambling to feed all the people we invited over to watch them open gifts the next day.
Tonight when Rod came home we were talking about him buying some beer. I said, well you will have to put it in a cooler, as I do not even have enough room for ME in the fridge....all he said was "OK"

I am happy that you have a second fridge, Tina. Good for you!!

Hi all,

We are still fighting various bugs here ... but so far I am doing Easter dinner and egg hunt if it dries up enough outside...we got about and inch of snow last night- gone now but still wet.. got my ham out in my second fridge (yes I have one and have had one for years) don't know how we would do it without one either... Carrie went back to doc, has a bacterial infection now and is hurting.. they gave her some good meds so hopefully that will fix it quickly.. she had to work tonit and they are busy with the holiday... feels like crap she says... sure hope meds kick in and help fast..

Our Joseph(grandson) bought his first car ... he financed it with the credit union , Joe went with him to make sure it was done right .. he is one happy camper... he came over and asked me to help him set up a budget for himself .. really proud of him he is not quite 21 an becoming a very responsible young man...

I hope your sick ones get well soon...this winter seems to be a rough one for illness for everyone... we need some nice weather for all to drive it all away I think...

Well off to see how my stew has done in crock.. should be almost done... Timothy wanted to stay here after school and wants to eat... he isn't to fond of his Daddy's cooking when Mom is at work... froz pizza or chicken nuggest... well at least my stew has veggies in it....

Have a good evening all... Hope everyone sickness goes away and Enjoy the holiday!

Nana

Nana: I hope you DO shake the "bugs". To my notion, spring and or summer cannot happen quickly enough to suit me. It seems everyone is always getting sick. While I am not surprised, given this weather we have ben having this winter, I am very ready for it to stop.

Sleep...ah I wish I could do that. I have house chores to do yet...Right now I am washing clothes & "trying" to find one of my tablecloths that will fit my table with both the leaves in it.....and oh, it cannot be a Christmas one... rolz

Ok found a white one that will work.. bop

The last load of clothes is in the dryer now...Tomorrow I will be washing rugs & making food. And picking up Potesa..YAY !!!
If I make make-ahead dishes, I will just have to load the oven Sunday after we come home from Church. I wish we had sunrise services, so I could get home & cook.

I am soon going to sleep--g'nite everyone. snooz

Good morning.

Hoping everyone is better soon Nana...tell your daughter to be careful, I have pneumonia right now from a bacterial infection that spread to my lungs. We are all sick here as well. Worst Winter ever.

I am glad you are getting things under way for your meal Junie.

Tina, alot of homes here have a second fridge as well....not here though. I keep a 3 day cooler for extra items at Holiday time.

Today we are getting the worst snow storm that apparently April has ever seen... cry I still have about 5 ft or so in the fields and banks about 8 ft high everywhere...now another foot and a half to add to it by tonight.

Good morning. I am shivering just thinking about your snow, Sunny. How is your granddaughter?
Today I will do laundry. And I am defrosting the chicken I cooked earlier this week for a salad. It is also my older son's 40th birthday. I've already given him his gift but today I will give him some money and he is going out to dinner and shopping with his sisters. That will be fun for him.

Gracious...This horrid up & down weather has got to go away. This winter has been terrible. It has caused much sickness here as well.
My daughter just called to tell me that her DH will not be coming early enough to spend the afternoon with Rod like Rod suggested. My SIL has been sick for weeks too. rolz
He was hoping the meds he is on would be working enough by now, but they are not, so while he is well enough to come here, he does not want to be out in the weather just yet.

Sunny, I think that you should climb into bed & shut the bedroom door & tell everyone to stay away. Oh My, !! 1-1/2 foot MORE of snow?? I am ever so sorry. That is just not right, on any level.
People (& you) will never get well at this rate..

Tina, that is so very generous of you. I am sure your kids will have a great time out together.
Do you put grapes in your chicken salad?

Nana: I hope you are all well enough to enjoy Easter together tomorrow.

Dodge: Take care of you...even sinusitis is no fun. And we do not want it going into something else.

Soon, I need to get dressed & go get my Potesa..then I will come back & begin cooking I guess.

Tina, grandgirl is getting better. I hope your son has a fun day.

I see between the sickies and celebrations we will all be tired. Take it easy all of you and rest when you can.

And you all have a right to complain about your weather...this is a normal thing here. If I lived where you were and my spring hadn't shown up yet I'd be complaining with you as well thumbup

Sunflowers no matter where one lives there is something they regret .LOL Or need to get used to .
Nice weather year round is good but they get tornadoes an other bad things like sand storms.
Each area has its own vice.. Guess we all get adapted eventually......
Like I live on a farm, all of my 9 brothers an sisters lived in town.. Would not tolerate my farm life at all.
However I am the opposite, I cant tolerate people living right up against me all day.
So no matter what we adapt.

I don't put grapes in my chicken salad. I like dried cranberries.

I wash any day of the week that I build up a load. I like Sundays for washing the bedding because I love to get ready for the week ahead with that clean all under feeling.
I shop a lot on school days because I am near stores while taking my kid to school. I get reimbursed for that so my gas is paid for. When my son had two weeks of spring break a bit ago, I only went out once each week. After this year there is only one more year of school. After that I will probably be shopping once every two weeks or so.
I live debt free. The only bills I have are the recurring like electricity or the regular yearly ones like propane or property taxes. I don't own or use credit. If I need something I buy it with cash. Refrigerators, home repairs, everything. If I can't afford it, I will do without until I can collect enough for it.
There is plenty I can write about my budget. But I won't bore you with it. For me it is fun.

Dodge, I'd never be able to live in the city either...I visited once for a few weeks and never left the apartment where I was lol

Tina, budgeting is never a bore, it is a learned art. One that needs to be taught and learned in high school in my opinion....if it wasn't for the way we do things we'd do without a lot of the time thumbup

I have given everything a good scrub and mopping. I need to do some baking later...not much else to do in stormy weather.

Budgeting is fun. About 3 or 4 years ago I started keeping track of everything I spent. I came in after the day and tucked all my change away. A few months ago I began tucking my ones away. Then I started not spending any ones I got as change. I only spend twenties, tens and fives. I hoard my singles and they go into a special account. I don't have any specific plans for it yet. But I save about $100 dollars a month. It is a game I play with myself. I think I will also save my five's from now on.
One of the reasons I do this is that I have such a hard time with my hands. Counting out bills is hard on them and takes time in a checkout line. So I toss my change into my pocket and deal with it when I get home. But it is fun too.
I was taught to budget in school. I was taught much more at home. I've taken all that I was taught and worked it into a system that worked for me.
I've got my chicken salad made. Now I don't have to cook for a couple days.

We started marking down every purchase the start of this year. I always budgeted but couldn't figure out where sums of money went....well once you write it down, you see what you spend on necessities and frivolous items. DH is really seeing how his coffee and store stops take a bite out of his pay.

Next year I plan to print out a binder with the sheets and such..it'll be easier.
We always put away our nickles and dimes for grandgirl. Loonies($1) and quarters go for DH's coffee stops. Toonies($2) go in the Christmas Fund..if grandgirl doesn't nab them first for the Dollar store lol

I'm watching Extreme Coupon's at the moment...a person would never get away with that here.

Hi all,

So far so good with Carrie and the meds- she isn't feeling well yet but meds are working some... it will take a while to kick this I think .. she is off this weekend so at least she can get some rest I hope... she usually does holiday dinners but I am doing this one so she doesn't have to do to much.. got my salads done and I am going to make my bunny but cake in a few minutes... got the idea off pintrest.. usually do a bunny laying down but this one is digging a whole and you can just see his rear... will double as a birthday cake for the twins.. they just turned 10 on April 1st... youngest of my grands... Nicoli turned 10 in Feb.. time flies..

We are having decent weather this weekend, so nice after all the snow... but it's not over yet here either so not counting on it to last yet...

Hope all your sick ones get better soon and Have a Happy Easter !

Nana

I am glad Carrie is on the mend, Nana. I hope it continues. Your bunny butt cake sounds cute.
Writing it down helps a lot, doesn't it, Sunny. It helps me from wringing my hands at the end of the month wondering where it all went. I also don't eat out as much and watch what I spend in general. It helps when you can see where it goes and figure out where you can save a bit.

I hope everyone's sickness goes away soon.

IF I would stay home, we would be better off. I buy things that I do not need right now..but will eventually. mainly because it is a good price---well while that is good idea, perhaps we could have gotten by without whatever it is. We shall see if I can improve. why

Still up cooking for tomorrow.. I hope this all works. I really could use that 2nd refrigerator.
My birthday cake us done, I also have blue cup cakes made, & ice cream bought.

If you do not see me, tomorrow--Happy Easter !!!

Just think, You could be having to help the Easter bunny out as well tonight. I am very glad that I don't have to do that any more. Not unless I want to anyway. I am going to bed without bunny worries tonight.
Sweet dreams all. Happy Easter.

Good morning. Happy Easter to you all. I got my kids chocolate bunnies and peanut butter eggs. And peanut butter eggs for me.
Today will be a quiet day here.

Happy Easter.

The Bunny was here too !! (he sure is a busy guy)
He left a basket filled with girlie stuff & candy for my oldest DD, hard candies for my SIL, and toys & a book for my middle grandson. And 2 candy bars for Rod.
Later I am sure I will find he left the same for my youngest DD & her family.

Oops..and I see a book each for my great nieces that will come by today.

I wish everyone a wonderful Easter !!

I had a nice surprise this morning. I knew my oldest & her family were going to church with us...and then when we got there, my youngest & her family were waiting for us. it was wonderful to have my whole family there in church with us.

Color me one happy momma/grandma.

Right now I am SOOO ready for bed. But I needed to stay up as I took my morning meds late, so the nite-time meds had to be pushed back.

I am one tired but happy Mom/Grandma.

Happy Easter everyone. Sweet Dreams
